"I want you to be ready… When the tide turns and the Chaos Immortals start falling, that's when you move to deal with Mennena, since you're aware of her capabilities.If you act now, you'll be caught between two storms."

Adam exhaled slowly.

"Fine. I'll wait. But if Mennena makes a move, I won't wait..."

"Agreed… Just don't forget that we're on the same side. Even if our methods differ." Merlin replied.

Soon, the connection faded.

Adam opened his eyes and his gaze turned to his knights.

"We will wait for now, but stay alert. If the Arch Fey moves, we'll capture her..."

After an hour, the barrier of the city had finally been cracked…

It wasn't a subtle fracture or a slow destruction… It was a violent rupture as the Chas Immortals created a tear in the protective dome that had shielded Clovis City.

The Chaos Immortals had finally succeeded after a concentrated barrage of Chaos Arts, combined with the unstoppable pressure from the Chaos Beasts…

They had forced open a path wide enough for their forces to swarm through.

"They've broken through!" one of the Professors shouted. His voice was heard across the city's inner walls and warned everyone…

From the hole or tear they created, dozens of Chaos Immortals charged forward. Some of them are flying while others follow the swarm of Chaos Beasts, all of them hungry for blood…

But Clovis wasn't defenseless.

In the central plaza, two figures emerged… They were Lotus and Yvaine, the two Dark Spirits who had remained hidden since the siege began.

Their presence could not be mistaken as they exude a strong Dark Energy around their bodies…

"Now.." Lotus whispered.

Yvaine nodded.

Soon, they used the same method when they eliminated Merlin's pursuers before. But this time, there would be the two of them working together.

Soon, they raised their hands in unison, and a massive formation circle was activated... It appeared beneath their feet and soon, the ground trembled as the portal to the Spirit Realm began to open…

It didn't just open calmly… It created a swirling vortex of spectral energy designed to drag the Chaos Immortals into a realm they could not escape.

The same trap that had once saved Merlin from being robbed by the Chaos Immortals…

The sky darkened further as the portal expanded, its pull growing stronger. Several Chaos Immortals near the breach began to falter as their bodies were dragged toward the vortex.

As a matter of fact, there were about 10 or so unlucky Immortals who had been standing at the center of the vortex and were immediately dragged to the Spirit Realm…

"It's working!" Yvaine shouted.

Lisa, Constance, the Dragons, and many other Immortals who had been watching this were also excited… After all, this was their last defense since they knew that fighting in the open would be their loss. They could only rely on tricks to defeat these Chaos Immortals.

Suddenly, the eye pulsed once.

And the portal shattered.

The vortex collapsed in an instant as the Formation Circle disintegrated into nothingness!

Just like that, the pull vanished and the Chaos Immortals stabilized mid-air as their momentum was was restored.

"Oh no…" Lotus staggered.

"We failed…" Yvaine whispered, falling to her knees… She had used too much energy just to create that massive portal to drag as many Chaos Immortals as they could.

Merlin, watching from the observatory, couldn't help but feel shocked after seeing the eye once again. He didn't expect them to fail like this…

"No… That was our last contingency…" He muttered.

At the very least, this was the last plan he knew that Magnus and Vale's Avatar arranged to defend the Shadow Domain from any invasion.

Unfortunately, Vale's Avatar was already destroyed, and no one could stop the Chaos God's eye in the sky…

It remained open as its presence suppressed all Spirit Realm interference. The battlefield was now fully exposed.

And the Chaos Immortals took advantage.
