Vale's expression shifted the moment he heard the request.
"You need to bring Kaela with you."
The words echoed in his mind as he knew that it wasn't just a request…
He didn't respond immediately as he couldn't help but consider what he should do.
For a moment, he stared at Kilo's battered form, on the silk-like darkness still knitting itself around the Arcane Immortal's missing arm. The man had survived a battle against Demon Gods and returned with half his body broken, but he was still an imposing figure.
Vale clenched his jaw and replied. "That's… a heavy request."
"I know. But it's necessary…" Kilo replied with a calm voice. He wouldn't accept a no for an answer…
Vale lowered his eyes. He needed Kilo's help since, without the Arcane Immortal's protection, opening a portal back to the Human Realm would be suicide, not just for him, but for the entire realm. The Demon Gods were watching, and if they sensed a dimensional breach, they would trace it. And if they found the Human Realm…
Vale didn't even want to imagine it.
Still, this wasn't just a favor. Kilo wasn't sending his daughter away empty-handed.
A moment later, one of Kilo's aides stepped forward and handed Vale a black Storage Ring.
Even without proper appraisal, he could faintly sense the spatial power within… He knew that this Storage Ring was definitely larger than the ones he currently has.
"A gift… Inside is enough wealth to establish yourselves not just in the Human Realm but also here… It contained resources, artifacts, some higher-level Spell Models, even my original spells… Use them wisely."
Vale knew that there was no way he could refuse the Arcane Immortal's request, so he might as well get wealthy because of it… He then accepted the ring as he couldn't help but feel helpless about his situation. Still, he couldn't feel any animosity from Kaela and her father, Kilo, so it should be fine for now.
Still, Kaela wouldn't be traveling alone with him…
"She'll bring four others," Kilo continued. "Her two bodyguards you've already met. They're Sky Immortals. And two elders from my council… Both of them are High Immortals. They're the only ones capable of creating a return portal without alerting the Demon Gods. If the Shadow Realm stabilizes or if necessary, they'll bring her back."
Vale's fingers tightened around the ring. Two High Immortals.
In the Human Realm, they would be unmatched. No one, not even the strongest sects or hidden clans, could stop them if they chose to act. If they went rogue, Vale would be the only one who could intervene… and only if he could isolate them. Only if he could fight them one-on-one and exploit his Divine Extraction System.
It was a dangerous gamble, but he had no choice.
"I understand," Vale said quietly.
Behind him, Kaela's voice rose…
She had a different opinion about this matter. "No."
Everyone turned to her…
Kaela stepped forward as she looked at her father. She would probably be fine if the one who would be escaping wasn't only her a few people. However, since her father wouldn't come as well, she no longer liked the idea.
"I don't want to leave… Not now. Not when you're like this."
Kilo shook his head as he understood his daughter. "You must leave…" As he said this, a wave of strong divinity swept over.
Kaela didn't flinch and walked forward. "I can fight. I've fought beside you for years. I'm not a child."
"I know," Kilo said. "But you're still my daughter."
Kaela's jaw tightened. "That's not a reason."
"It is… You've seen what the Demon Gods are capable of. If they capture you, if they use you against me… I won't be able to fight freely."
Indeed, Kilo knew he would hesitate or be distracted. And in a battle like this, that's enough for him to die.
Kaela looked away, her fists clenched. She was also aware of what he implied from those words. However, she couldn't just agree to this.
Kilo continued. "You're not running away... You just need to be safe and you'll also be returning here soon, since this is your home."
She didn't answer, but she didn't argue again.
Kilo exhaled. "Good. Then we begin preparations."
***
The next two days passed quickly…
The Kilo Clan's entire logistics division was mobilized.
Airships were pulled from hangars and protected by numerous Formation Circles and of course, Immortals.
Civilian caravans were organized into convoys while the wounded were stabilized and sorted by priority. Every Immortal Tower was dismantled and packed into dimensional crates as their foundations sealed with migration glyphs.
Kaela oversaw the first wave, just as ordered.
She moved through the city like a commander, issuing orders so that the citizens could safely leave… She also inspected formations and personally checked the cargoes. Her two Sky Immortal bodyguards, Ryn and Elvar, never left her side.
As for the two High Immortal elders, known as Elder Setsuna and Elder Madoka, they remained secluded in the inner sanctum, preparing the dimensional anchor that would allow them to return to the Shadow Realm if needed.
They were terrifyingly powerful… Even Vale could feel the pressure they exuded when they walked past.
During this time, Vale spent his time studying the contents of the Storage Ring. Inside were dozens of high-grade spirit stones, divine crystals, rare alchemical reagents, spell models, and ancient scrolls that were filled with forbidden knowledge and many more…
It was enough to establish a sect or even a nation.

It was late in the evening when Vale completed his preparations, including his new gear.
Then, Vale started helping with the inspection of one of the cargo airships when a voice called out from the shadows.
"Shadow Immortal Vale."
He turned sharply. A man, probably in his mid-twenties, appeared… Vale didn't recognize him, but the man looked so glad to see him.
"I have something you might want…" the man said, holding out a small object.
It seemed like a toy at first, but Vale swiftly realized that it was a sealed Immortal Tower!
