Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1177: The Arrival of the Spirit Queen

Vale stepped closer to the Anima Haven's Formation Circle…

He wasn't really used to such a Summoning Ritual, but he had done this before already, so he wasn't unfamiliar with the method.

Soon, shadows coiled around him, merging with the circle's glow.

'This should be fine…' Vale thought as he looked at Constance, who was watching him from the side of the chamber.

He actually didn't get this space for free.

He had negotiated with Constance and spent a lot of Divine Crystals so she would agree to take care of the Spirit Queen and her entourage… That wouldn't be an easy task after all.

They didn't even know about their personalities and only learned about them from Lotus and Yvaine…

Nonetheless, Constance was considered a Spirit Immortal as well… So she should be the best option Vale had.

"Go ahead, Vale… Summon them." Constance said as she thought that Vale was hesitating.

Vale gently nodded, and soon, the Tower itself seemed to hum, its walls started vibrating with powerful Arcane Energy…

The Arcane Circle lit up as the Spirit Realm connected to the Circle…

Vale then started the ritual… The ritual was quite long, but in the end, he had to call for the specific Spirit Being he needed.

"…By the bond of shadow and spirit, by the seal of concealment and haven, I call upon the Queen of Spirits. Cross the path… and be sheltered."

In the Spirit Realm, the Queen felt the pull and shared the mysterious energy with those around her... Her attendants gathered close as their forms started glowing…

'It's coming…'

'We're really transferring to a different realm…'

'Human realm… I heard that the energy there isn't that great but… we really have no other choice… It's a weak realm… The Demon Lords wouldn't think that we'd even consider hiding here.'

'I hope that the Spirit Energy in this place wouldn't be as terrible as the Dark Realm…'

'All of us were actually covered by the Summoning Call…'

They all had different reactions after seeing the call…

None of them panicked as the summoning force wrapped around them. They knew about this energy already. However, seeing how many of them were actually covered, they knew that Vale wasn't a normal Summoner indeed.

The Queen's violet eyes also widened as the circle's resonance touched her essence… It was gentle, protective, unlike the harsh tearing of a dimensional path.

"Vale…" she murmured, sensing his presence across the realms.

The guardians braced themselves as the sanctuary dissolved into light.

They didn't know when they could return in this realm, but they knew that once they did, the balance in power would completely change…

One by one, their forms were drawn into the circle, their essence carried silently through the light.

There was no distortion that happened, only the quiet pull of the summoning light…

Back in Constance's Tower, the circle flared brilliantly.

Vale's aura surged as he felt a huge chunk of his Divinity was taken… Thankfully, he had prepared enough Divinity Crystals to help him with the summoning process..

Soon, the chamber was filled with spirit energy. There was even that faint fragrance of Spirit Realm, heralding the Queen's arrival.

And then, she appeared.

The Spirit Queen stepped forth, and behind her were her guardians and attendants…

Her silver hair was like moonlight, and she wore a gown that seemed to be made of spirit threads glowing faintly despite her exhaustion.

Her guardians followed, kneeling instantly as the circle sealed behind them.

They seemed to be experiencing the Will of the Realm's suppression.

After all, even with all of his preparations, the Suppression wouldn't be completely removed. At most, it should've weakened by a huge degree.

Vale lowered his hands as the ritual was finally completed.

His eyes met hers, and for a moment, the Tower was silent, holding its breath at the meeting of two powers.

"You should be experiencing the suppression now… But as long as you stay inside this tower, it won't get worse… I assume you brought the payment?" Vale asked softly.

Of course, the Queen knew that Vale was asking for the Spirits that would be contracted to the young Arcanists and nodded.

In the meantime, Ceres had once been known as the third princess of the Millton Kingdom.

She was born into privilege, and she had been raised with the grace and refinement expected of royalty. Yet her fate had shifted when the Millton royal family sought to strengthen ties with Vale's Shadow Domain. To secure goodwill with the Immortals, Ceres was sent as a representative… She was basically a living bridge between kingdom and domain.

Magnus, the Shadow Domain's commander, had accepted her presence readily.

At that time, they were lacking elite Arcanists, and Ceres's mastery of Holy Arts was a rare and valuable addition. It wouldn't even be surprising to say that Ceres was probably the first Holy Arts Practitioner who had joined them…

Though she had once been a princess, she quickly adapted to her new role, setting aside her crown to serve as a healer and medic within Shadow Castle, before she got transferred to Constance's Immortal Tower.

Years passed, and Ceres became a familiar figure in the Tower.

Her daily life was filled with tending to tired Arcanists…

She was soothing spirits weakened by overexhaustion as Constance would make many Arcanists work more than 12 hours a day…

Of course, she was also maintaining the delicate balance between mortals and Immortals who sought refuge there.

Despite her royal blood, she lived humbly. She wore simple robes, her golden hair tied back as she moved tirelessly through the halls of the Tower.

To the Immortals, she was not a princess but a medic. She appeared to be reliable and compassionate…

On most days, she rose early to prepare her healing medicines, then spent hours checking on patients recovering from battles.

She often worked alongside Constance's attendants, ensuring that the Tower remained a sanctuary for those who needed it.

But everything changed when rumors spread through the Tower… the Spirit Queen from the Spirit Realm itself had arrived.
