Dog-man Reed sniffed around the chaotic scents for a while, then looked north and said, "There's the scent of Green Crystal Stone over there."
Green Crystal Stone is a Level 1 Energy Crystal Stone of the Beastman Plane, equivalent to a Level 1 Magic Stone of the Wizard Plane.
Generally speaking, in the Endless Plane, the value of a Level 1 Energy Crystal Stone is about the same, with slight fluctuations up or down.
However, this kind of Green Crystal Stone in the Beastman Plane is relatively scarce, and its initial value is a bit higher; when sold, one piece of Green Crystal Stone can be equivalent to about 1.5 pieces of Magic Stone.
"Lead the way." Upon hearing Dog-man Reed say this, Duke directly instructed him to lead the way.
The two flew directly over the chaotic city and landed in a large estate.
Judging from the size of the estate, the beastmen who originally lived here must have been quite powerful to own such a large property.
Duke glanced around and saw that no other wizards had come here to scour yet, so he hurriedly had Reed lead him forward.
The man and the dog arrived at the largest building in the estate, which seemed to be the residence of the estate's owner.
Once inside, Duke found the interior in disarray, as if the owner had left hurriedly, with numerous chaotic footprints on the ground.
Under Dog-man Reed's guidance, Duke came to a bedroom.
The bedroom was large, with an enormous bed that could sleep at least twenty people; the estate's owner was likely a very large beastman.
"The scent of the Crystal Stone is emanating from here," Dog-man Reed pointed at the large bed and said.
Duke circled the bed but found no mechanisms, so he simply manipulated the yellow sand to dismantle the bed violently.
After the bed was dismantled, a hidden door appeared under it, leading to the basement.
Based on the original structure of the bed, it seemed as though a key was needed to open the bed and reveal the hidden door.
There was still a small hole on the hidden door, indicating that a key was needed.
Duke furrowed his brow and used yellow sand to form a sharp spike, forcefully smashing the hidden door open.
As soon as the hidden door was smashed open, countless arrows flew out, all blocked by Duke's Sand Guardian.
Numerous grains of yellow sand gathered around Duke, blocking each arrow with precision.
The arrows struck the yellow sand, creating sparks and falling to the ground, producing a ringing sound in the bedroom.
Dog-man Reed didn't have such protective means as Duke, and many arrows hit him.
However, his skin was thick, and although these arrows contained some energy and weren't ordinary, they still couldn't harm him.
Moments later, the barrage of arrows ceased, and a passage appeared inside the hidden door, dark and deep.
"You go first," Duke said, glancing at the thick-skinned Reed.
Dog-man Reed had no complaints and immediately proceeded downwards. He actually wasn't concerned about the potential dangers here; ordinary traps could hardly harm him.
The same went for Duke, but for caution's sake, he had Dog-man Reed scout ahead.
At the bottom of the hidden passage stood a massive metal door, with a complicated dial resembling an extremely complex combination lock that required a code to open.
Duke explored the metal door and found it was made of Golden Scale Celestial Iron.
Crafting such a door with Magic Metal was an extravagant move, and this door alone was worth a lot of money.
Without even bothering with the intricate dial, Duke didn't need to play cipher games to open the door.
He extended his left hand, and the Yellow Sand Crystal on his left arm began to absorb the Golden Scale Celestial Iron from the door.
For other wizards, dealing with this door might be troublesome, but for Duke, it was incredibly easy, and even a pleasant surprise.
Duke's Yellow Sand Crystal could directly absorb these magical metals, and the door was nothing more than a supplement for it.
Moments later, the door vanished completely, leaving only some remnants on the ground— the Golden Scale Celestial Iron had been entirely absorbed.
"To think there were three whole tons of Golden Scale Celestial Iron, quite generous," Duke thought as he looked at the waste residue on the ground.
Behind the door was the estate owner's treasure vault, which was quite spacious, with numerous fresh footprints on the ground—the estate owner had likely been here before leaving.
Duke noticed many things around had been moved, probably indicating the estate owner took the most valuable items, leaving behind only those that couldn't be taken.
Aside from some hides and bones of unknown animals, and some unidentified shiny gemstones, the most abundant items in the vault were Green Crystal Stones.
A large number of Green Crystal Stones were piled up inside, glowing with an eerie green light— indeed, these were Level 1 Energy Crystal Stones, Green Crystal Stones.
The vault contained several small mountains of Green Crystal Stones, occupying a large area within.
With a rough sweep of his Spiritual Power, Duke estimated approximately 200,000 pieces of Level 1 Energy Crystal Stones here.
According to the current exchange rate in the Wizard Plane, these 200,000 Green Crystal Stones equaled a full 300,000 pieces of Level 1 Magic Stones.
With a wave of his hand, Duke directly stored all 200,000 Green Crystal Stones into his Space Ring, instantly filling it to the brim.
"I'll need to buy a larger Space Ring when I return," Duke reflected, not expecting his ring to fill so quickly.
Perhaps this was why the estate's original owner couldn't take these Green Crystal Stones and had to leave them here.
These 200,000 Green Crystal Stones certainly weren't the most valuable items in the vault, and one might wonder what was originally here, justifying the expense of crafting a door from Golden Scale Celestial Iron.
Even in the Beastman Plane, the Golden Scale Celestial Iron was very expensive, typically only used for city gates; ordinary beastmen couldn't afford it.
Looking at the packed Space Ring full of Green Crystal Stones, Duke couldn't believe how quickly wealth had come—instantly, he possessed the riches of 300,000 Magic Stones.
It's no wonder so many wizards are keen to partake in dimensional wars, willing to take great risks for the abundant rewards.
Duke had just advanced to an Official Wizard—what he obtained now was merely a small fortune.
For the stronger wizards, the resources they could acquire were far beyond what people like him could attain.
Then Duke and Dog-man Reed continued to explore this estate, hoping to find another hidden treasure vault.
After searching without success, they let Dog-man Reed lead the way again, heading towards the northern direction of Albi City.
