The resistance in Albi City was much weaker than expected. Once Black Sail entered the city, they swiftly took it over with overwhelming force.
The largest treasury in the city was located in the City Lord's Mansion. By the time Duke arrived, it was too late; it had already been taken by other Wizards.
Several Level 3 and over twenty Level 2 Wizards had taken these resources, leaving no chance for lower-level Wizards, unless they arrived here extremely quickly.
Back when Outpost Number Three was bombed, many Wizards rushed because of this objective, hence their speed.
In the following days, the Fifth Corps, to which Duke belonged, stayed in Albi City and were instructed not to approach the First War Zone.
The so-called First War Zone was the area where King of Beastmen Reynolds resided, gathering the most formidable force of the Beastmen, with several Level 3 Beastmen stationed there.
The final battle was about to commence, and ordinary Level 1 and Level 2 Wizards were to stay away from the First War Zone to avoid being affected.
During this time, Duke and his group were responsible for garrisoning the conquered areas, assisting in stabilizing the environment to facilitate the smooth construction of various production facilities, and completing the exploitation and use of local resources.
...
On the Green Island Plain, the last and strongest force of the Green-skinned Orcs resided, and most of the Greenfield Continent had already fallen.
Arnold stood high in the sky, gazing ahead at the dense ranks of the waiting Beastman Legion, eager to rush in and kill.
But Swain stopped this notion, as there were already known to be twelve Level 3 entities among the Beastmen.
Besides that, there was Reynolds, a Demigod Level being, and possibly another hidden Demigod Level Beastman.
Rushing in recklessly could easily target them and lead to danger.
As the Legion Commander of the Third Corps and an important Demigod Level powerhouse of Black Sail, Arnold couldn't afford any mishap.
Even if all the Slave Creature Legions brought this time were obliterated, Arnold must not come to harm; the cost would be too great.
Once Black Sail's side gathered strength from all sides, they commenced the attack on the Beastman army on the Green Island Plain.
The Beastman Legion also moved out and engaged with the Slave Creature Legion, turning the vast Green Island Plain into an enormous battlefield.
This time, both sides had Level 3 entities entering the fray; their targets were not the ordinary soldiers but the opposing Level 3 entities.
The battlefield they chose was deliberately distant from the main battlefront to prevent the ordinary soldiers from being wiped out by the aftermath of their fight.
The Level 3 combat power on Black Sail's side was a definite advantage, with dozens of Level 3 Wizards and three Demigod Level Legion Commanders.
Including Reynolds, the Beastmen had only thirteen Level 3 or higher combatants, perhaps hiding another Demigod Level existence in secret.
Arnold alone challenged three Level 3 Beastmen, while Reynolds remained steadfast in the camp, not appearing.
Black Sail believed it was the precise strike of the Fixed Star Orbit Cannon that pressured Reynolds, who feared being instantly targeted if he showed himself.
If Reynolds were to die, the Beastman Plane would utterly lose hope, so his caution was understandable.
In the wilderness, Arnold was engulfed in black flames, with endless black clouds behind him, his overwhelming aura suppressing the three Level 3 Beastmen in front.
Even with the suppression of the Plane's will, Arnold's strength remained incredibly powerful, driving the three Beastmen to retreat step by step.
Seeing Arnold's might, the three Beastmen didn't choose to confront him head-on, cooperating seamlessly and always retreating after probing.
Their battlefield gradually shifted as Arnold pursued them, seemingly pressing them with a chasing stance.
Arnold discerned some clues from their movement direction, suspecting they were plotting something and intentionally luring him to a specific location.
Despite realizing this, Arnold's absolute confidence in his ability and innate disdain for these Green-skinned Orcs led him to follow nonetheless.
Amidst the mountains, dark clouds rolled above, with Arnold at the source.
Gazing at the three Beastmen ahead, he sneered, "Use whatever tactics you have!"
The three Beastmen, too, realized Arnold had sensed something was amiss yet still followed, seeing it as overly arrogant.
The mountains suddenly emitted a green glow, rippling through space, as waves of energy reverberated around.
"Space Transmission?" As a powerful Demigod Level Wizard, Arnold possessed vast knowledge and immediately recognized that the surrounding mountains were part of a Teleportation Array.
Moments later, the three Beastmen and Arnold disappeared, their whereabouts unknown.
Swain, who had been attentively watching the developments, had already warned Arnold, yet Arnold chose to see what the Beastmen were scheming.
Now, with the spatial transmission activated, Swain couldn't determine the destination of the Teleportation Array nor locate Arnold's position.
Elsewhere, in a void space, a dim, foggy world unfolded with no sun in the sky, and above was all earthy and greyish haze.
Arnold surveyed his surroundings, voice directed at the yellow mist ahead, "Come out!"
In the yellow mist appeared four Beastmen. Besides the three Level 3 Beastmen, there was a burly, naturally commanding Beastman—King of Beastmen, Reynolds.
"How did you get here? You managed to evade our detection, quite a feat," Arnold immediately recognized Reynolds, surprised this King of Beastmen hid here.
Previous reconnaissance indicated Reynolds remained in camp, just unseen.
Now it's clear that was likely an illusion; the real Reynolds was here awaiting Arnold's arrival.
Arnold realized he had walked into the trap they designed but remained unfazed, touching his shiny bald head and smiling, "I've long wanted to fight you, exactly what I wish for!"
Arnold, valiant and combative, always sought battles with top masters across the planes.
This wasn't merely for the love of fighting but to discover opportunities for breakthroughs.
Arnold sought to leverage extreme battles to punch through to the next level.
With each encounter with master fighters, he gained invaluable insights, forming the foundation for his path to becoming a Level 4 Mage.
Reynolds stepped forward, unarmed, eyes fixed unwaveringly on Arnold, standing like an ordinary martial artist.
