Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 213: Five Talents Complete

Ray of Light is an extreme Level 1 attack spell, capable of emitting a highly energetic ray to damage enemies.

Duke performed some simple calculations based on the information provided within the spell, estimating the attack intensity to reach ninety degrees, making it a relatively powerful spell.

This was still based on his 61 points of Spiritual Power; once his Spiritual Power is enhanced, the intensity of Ray of Light will also increase significantly.

As for the Bright Energy Shield, it is a large-scale defensive spell, with its range and intensity varying based on the amount of Magic Power infused.

As long as enough Magic Power is infused, this spell can even envelop an entire city.

For Duke, the defensive effect of this spell on himself is average, as he has the Talent Magic of Sand Guardian, making the Bright Energy Shield's defense less necessary.

However, having an additional layer of defense is always beneficial, and the options are indeed limited.

Duke discovered that Light Attribute spells are truly quite scarce; even in the Black Sail Treasure Vault, only these two Light Attribute spells were found.

Perhaps higher-level Black Sail Treasure Vaults have other Light Attribute spells, but they are currently beyond Duke's reach.

Duke spent two hundred contribution points to exchange for these two Light Attribute spells, and he began his research as soon as he acquired them.

The magic model of Ray of Light is not particularly complex, it just has high requirements on a Wizard's control ability over Light Elements.

Duke easily constructed the Ray of Light's magic model, and casting this spell requires highly aggregating the surrounding Light Elemental Energy Particles, which can also be fused with the body's Light Elemental Particles.

Without sufficient Light Elemental Affinity, this process is somewhat challenging; most Wizards find it difficult to control Light Elements effectively.

Duke stood in the Magic Laboratory on the Deserted Island, starting to test this spell.

This laboratory belongs to a relatively basic Magic Laboratory; many devices are very rudimentary, with only some basic equipment.

At present, it is temporarily impossible to conduct particularly complex magic experiments here; if the intensity exceeds one hundred degrees, it cannot be conducted here, otherwise, it would cause some damage to the laboratory.

Ray of Light's spell is just around ninety degrees, and the laboratory can currently withstand it.

Duke looked at a dummy ahead, Magic Power surging within him, and the surrounding Light Elements began to gather at his fingertip.

Due to his extremely high Light Element Affinity, a large amount of Light Elemental Energy Particles instantly gathered at his fingertip, and the high density of energy particles generated some heat, making Duke feel his fingertip slightly hot.

A moment later, a milky-white beam shot out from Duke's fingertip, directly hitting the dummy used for magic experiments ahead, leaving a deep black hole on the dummy's chest.

The dummy Duke purchased was a basic model, only capable of withstanding energy intensities of just over seventy degrees.

The Ray of Light pierced through the dummy, leaving a hole that penetrated from front to back.

After penetrating the dummy, Ray of Light also left a black spot on the wall behind it.

Duke was very satisfied with this spell; its speed is fast, the energy intensity is high, and the casting speed is also fast.

Ordinary enemies, if not prepared with enough defensive means in advance, could easily be successfully ambushed by this Ray of Light.

Although it does not have a wide-area attack capability, its precision strike capability is exceptionally outstanding.

Subsequently, Duke experimented several more times with the Ray of Light spell and has become quite familiar with its effects and casting.

He then immediately started experimenting with the Bright Energy Shield spell, conducting some tests.

With a single thought, Duke expanded a milky-white Energy Shield centered on him with a radius of ten meters.

He didn't infuse much Magic Power, so this Energy Shield only had a defensive intensity of just over twenty degrees.

With normal casting, the defensive intensity could reach forty or fifty degrees.

Overall, it's not very strong, but it's advantageous in having a broad range.

Duke also found that the key point of the Bright Energy Shield spell is not actually the defense, but its counteracting effect on negative energy elements like evil spirits and spells.

To evil spirits, such a Bright Energy Shield is something they find difficult to touch or even look upon.

Only particularly powerful evil spirits could endure the burning pain to approach the Energy Shield.

When facing negative energy spells, the Bright Energy Shield's defense effects are significantly enhanced, which is determined by its innate properties.

After experimenting with the two newly learned Light Attribute spells, Duke invested himself in the research of Spirit Wind Breathing Technique and Dragon Breath Breathing Technique.

He has many things to do now, whether it is learning Level 1 Potions, or mastering various Level 1 Magic; all require time to complete.

Duke planned to max out the levels of the two Breathing Techniques first and obtain the two talents before attending to other matters.

After all, the proficiency of spells is endless, and there's a lot to learn. It's worthwhile to gain talents as early as possible.

Even if he doesn't temporarily master Wind Attribute and Fire Attribute spells, he should first secure these two talents.

Spirit Wind Breathing Technique and Dragon Breath Breathing Technique both have corresponding Secret Potions, and after Duke researched these two Secret Potions, he developed two new Secondary Potions.

As for why not use Level 1 Potions, it's entirely because the cost is too high.

These can only be used by himself, not sold, and using Secondary Potions is sufficient.

The development of two Secondary Potions was completed on the same day, which is very simple for the current Duke.

Following this was the cultivation of Breathing Techniques, and Duke devoted a significant amount of time every day to the practice of Breathing Techniques, solely to max them out as soon as possible.

Within two months, Duke had maxed out both Breathing Techniques.

[Dragon Breath Breathing Technique: LV9 (Talent: High-Level Fire Element Affinity)]

After maxing out these two Breathing Techniques, Duke obtained talents for five attributes: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Light.

He even contemplated that perhaps he need not rush to practice High-tier Breathing Techniques now, maybe encountering other attribute Breathing Techniques in the future.

Because there are many attributes for energy particles, Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind are the most common and foundational four attributes.

Light Attribute is a more rare attribute, and aside from this, there are also Wood, Thunder, Shadow, and other attributes.

Duke does not hope to collect all these attributes, as there aren't that many varieties of Breathing Techniques; Breathing Techniques essentially aim to help ordinary people improve their physique, involving only a limited number of attributes.
