It was just that recording the Wizard Plane coordinates required caution. If there was something fishy about the Coordinates Earring, Duke couldn't afford to take that responsibility.
After weighing his options, he decided not to record the Wizard Plane coordinates. Instead, he considered going to a tourist-type plane in the future, where recording the coordinates would be more appropriate.
Numerous forces in the Wizard Planes have various types of planes, many of which have been developed for tourism and entertainment, where many Wizards have purchased properties and settled.
These planes, like Harbor City, are purely entertainment zones, except the whole plane is like that.
Duke's plan was to purchase a property in one of these types of planes, so before going to other planes, he could first visit these to cover his tracks.
Because entertainment planes are generally less regulated, unlike the strictness inside major Wizard Organizations, where high security is required.
Duke couldn't guarantee whether frequent comings and goings through different planes would be sensed by others.
He increasingly realized that while the Black Sail interior was safe enough, it wasn't necessarily discreet enough.
This is one reason why there aren't many Official Wizards inside the Black Sail; most are actually on other planes performing missions, living, etc.
The matter of purchasing properties on other planes isn't urgent for implementation but is included in subsequent planning.
Duke began practicing the Shadow Breathing Technique provided by Robert, a Knight Cultivation Method within the Shadow Council.
He found that the Shadow Breathing Technique was overall not much different from normal Breathing Techniques, consisting of a set of movements and a specific breathing rhythm.
These aspects are easy for Duke to master at present.
However, the Shadow Breathing Technique lacks a Secret Potion, and to expedite progress, one needs to absorb Dark Attribute Energy.
Duke sensed the surrounding Free Energy Particles, finding the Dark Attribute particles exceptionally scarce, possibly due to his low Dark Attribute Affinity.
In fact, Dark Attribute and Light Attribute are relative, coexisting yet opposing.
Where there is a Light Attribute, there is certainly a Dark Attribute, but generally, people can't sense it.
Currently, Duke isn't capable of absorbing a large amount of Dark Attribute Energy Particles directly from the environment, needing external aids to absorb Dark Attribute Energy and thereby speed up his Shadow Breathing Technique practice.
Materials with Dark Attribute Energy are also quite rare and generally not cheap.
The Shadow Council seems to possess a special resource that helps with Shadow Breathing Technique practice, rewarded to contributing members to motivate them to work for the council.
Naturally, Duke didn't need to rely on the Shadow Council, as the Wizard Planes offered more resource types and richness.
He then accessed the Black Sail Treasure Vault using the Black Sail Badge to search for materials with Dark Attribute Energy.
Duke's consciousness seemed to enter an endlessly extending virtual space made up of starlight and runes, where endless streams of information flickered like stars.
The Black Sail Treasure Vault isn't a physical warehouse, but a highly integrated, real-time updated resource database and exchange system.
The interface is simple yet vast in information, with finely categorized filters on the left: materials, potions, knowledge, Witchcraft Artifacts, biological materials, special permissions, etc., each major category further divided into countless subcategories.
Duke quickly found materials related to Dark Attribute Energy: "Shadow Pattern Grass, Shadow Stone, Night Owl's Stare, Bone-Eroding Vine Juice..."
There were many materials containing Dark Attribute Energy. Based on his needs, he filtered through layers and finally settled on Shadow Stone.
Other materials, though containing Dark Attribute Energy, either required cumbersome extraction or were not usable for cultivation.
But Shadow Stone was convenient, containing pure Dark Attribute Energy that required no purification or extraction, free from other energy properties, hence more suitable for direct absorption.
Shadow Stone wasn't a product of the Wizard Planes but came from other planes, with one piece costing ten Black Sail Contribution Points.
Duke had no other choice, as Harrison had told him there was no way to acquire Shadow Stone externally.
He spent three hundred Contribution Points, exchanging for thirty Shadow Stones to test the effect for a while.
These thirty Shadow Stones were soon delivered by Dark Demons to the Deserted Island. These cone-shaped stones' surfaces weren't as smooth as magic stones but had numerous thorn-like protrusions.
These weren't carved out but automatically resulted from the exposed parts of the Shadow Stones.
Even if the thorns were completely shaved off, they would automatically form again after a while.
With the Shadow Stone in hand, Duke easily absorbed some Dark Attribute Energy from it.
Once inside his body, this Dark Attribute Energy, combined with the Shadow Breathing Technique, began circulating within, constantly increasing the Shadow Breathing Technique's proficiency.
[You have completed a session of Shadow Breathing Technique practice, proficiency +112]
[Shadow Breathing Technique: Level 1 (213/300)]
The Shadow Stone significantly aids the Shadow Breathing Technique, even outperforming most Breathing Techniques' Secret Potions.
Duke quickly entered a state of practice, planning to spend this period focusing on raising the Breathing Technique to its maximum level.
...
Half a month later.
[Shadow Breathing Technique level increased, free attribute points +1]
[Shadow Breathing Technique: Level 9 (Talent: High-Level Dark Attribute Affinity)]
After maxing out the Shadow Breathing Technique, Duke obtained a High-Level Dark Attribute Affinity Talent.
With this Talent, he immediately sensed a difference, able to clearly perceive Dark Attribute Energy Particles around him.
Now possessing the Dark Attribute Talent, Duke also had high affinity talents for six attributes: earth, fire, water, wind, light, and dark.
He could now be considered perhaps the only Wizard in the history of the Wizard Plane possessing such a range of elemental affinity talents.
Other Wizards couldn't possibly have so many types of elemental affinity talents; acquiring one or two was already an achievement.
Duke's Spiritual Power now reached one hundred points, prompting considerations for his next advancement from Liquefaction Wizard to Crystalized Wizard.
Though the Liquefaction Stage wasn't fully complete, it didn't impede his planning for the next steps.
The key to advancing from Liquefaction Wizard to Crystalized Wizard is forming a Spiritual Power Crystal, emblematic of a Crystalized Wizard.
To form a Spiritual Power Crystal, at least one hundred fifty points of Spiritual Power are needed to qualify for condensing it.
During this period, Duke was also gathering relevant information, spending some Contribution Points in the Black Sail Treasure Vault to exchange for some related materials.
