Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 298: Spatial Teleportation

Even within Black Sail, many Wizards are exhausted just trying to gather the resources needed for cultivation, with almost no savings left.

The people Duke knows, including Simon, are like this; Simon recently advanced to become an Official Wizard but incurred quite a bit of debt in the process.

He even refused Duke's financial support, insisting that he could solve these problems and that earning money would be faster after advancing to an Official Wizard.

Simon is not only earning money for himself but also for his two companions, taking on all kinds of work and tasks as long as it can earn magic stones.

Wizards like Duke, who possess exquisite magic potion abilities, are always a minority; more common Wizards don't even have the capital to master magic potion skills, as it requires too much investment.

The scarcity of resources means these Wizards don't have many resources to enhance their strength, and the depth and intensity of their mastered magic are not as good as those of Wizards with abundant resources.

Take the five people in front of us, for example, Yoni, although already a Liquidation Wizard, has reached his level purely through time, and his actual combat skills are nowhere near Duke's.

Duke can stand undefeated relying solely on the Sand Guardian talent magic, while Yoni and his five cannot break through Sand Guardian's defense by any means.

Sand Guardian itself is established on a vast amount of resources, and just the value of over a hundred tons of magic metal used is beyond what ordinary Wizards can imagine.

Not to mention Duke has mastered so many spells, covering various types, many of which are max-level with traits acquired through grinding.

These accumulated differences in hard power can entirely offset any disparity in spiritual power.

Spiritual power determines the strength of magic and the amount of magic power. Unless there is a significant gap in spiritual power or its quality is fundamentally different, it won't greatly impact combat.

As for Merrick, it's even more undeniable; with various alchemy creations on him, you never know what kind of witchcraft artifact he'll pull out from his space ring.

Just bombarding with witchcraft artifacts can kill Yoni and the other four.

Yoni is already on the brink of death, showing no hope of survival, having just been interrogated by Merrick.

From his mouth, Merrick learned why these five could gather together; it was because each of them mastered a part of a one-time teleportation-type witchcraft artifact, which they activated upon entering the Void Corridor, teleporting them all to one place.

This is an extremely rare witchcraft artifact, purchased at a high price by Yoni and his mates with the hope of gaining an advantage in the Void Corridor to recoup their expenses.

It never occurred to them that they would fail before they started, encountering Duke and Merrick right away.

They couldn't perceive the strength of these two ahead, seeing Duke and Merrick young and lesser strength than Liquidation, they planned to feast on them, only to hit a snag.

Unfortunately, this witchcraft artifact is a one-time consumable; otherwise, Duke intended to research it further.

What interested him was the teleportation within the Void Corridor, which he discussed with Merrick.

"Merrick, can one teleport from outside into the Void Corridor?" Duke asked casually.

Merrick shook his head directly: "Impossible, the Wizard Council manages the Void Corridor, it's not so easy to teleport inside. To be precise, there's nearly no chance, and the Wizard Council surely accounted for this."

Duke nodded silently, pondering in his heart, "I wonder if the Coordinates Earring can bypass this restriction; only by trying can I know. The Wizard Council is in charge here, so it must be difficult..."

He wasn't sure if the Coordinates Earring could break through the restrictions set by the Wizard Council, only intending to risk a trial once the operation was over.

This area is managed by the Wizard Council, and the Void Corridor's defense system is certainly crafted by exceptionally powerful Wizards; the Coordinates Earring may not even work.

Duke was not yet in a hurry to record the coordinates, since Merrick was still beside him, planning to wait for a solitary moment to record them.

He had attempted sensing already; the Coordinates Earring could record coordinates here, and upon confirming this, he was reassured.

"Time to get to business," Duke told Merrick, his tone relaxed, as if he had just casually swatted a few flies away.

He walked to the edge of the depression, sensing meticulously again to confirm no residual traps or energy fluctuations were present before taking action.

Duke's movements were exceptionally fine and elaborate, his spiritual power like the most precise probe, first penetrating the soil to sense the state of Chris Grass roots.

Once confirmed that the roots were intact, vibrant, and active, he carefully used a medicine shovel to peel away the moist soil around the roots.

Every shovel sought not to harm any fine roots.

"The humus on the roots contains unique decay energy requiring special handling to preserve medical efficacy..." Duke muttered softly while working.

The environment here is quite unique, with exceptional decay energy within the soil, affecting Chris Grass.

Duke took out a specially made watering can filled with gently purifying and stabilizing magic potion solvent, spraying a thin mist over the exposed Chris Grass roots.

The purified roots, notably, had silver gleams that grew ever purer and brighter.

Only then did Duke lightly place the entire Chris Grass plant, along with its roots enveloped in purified humus soil, into a specially crafted transparent box.

The whole process flowed like a poem, filled with artistic precision and beauty, each Chris Grass was picked, processed, and preserved by him to perfection.

Merrick adhered to the principle of letting professionals do professional work and watched Duke handle the Chris Grass, unable to resist clicking his tongue in admiration: "Your technique is more skilled than many Magic Potion Masters, no wonder you earned so many Arcane Master points through magic potion making."

He was well aware of Duke's recent happenings; achieving over a hundred points swiftly in the Arcane Master Association warrants attention, and this individual happens to be Duke whom he knows.

"This is my first time handling this thing; I just happened to see some similar materials before." Duke said humbly.

Altogether, there were thirty-six plants of Chris Grass here, all packed into Duke's bag, as Merrick insisted he didn't want them.

"It's of no use to me, just takes up space in my space ring." Merrick commented disparagingly.

He hadn't considered selling the plants for money; to him, that process was too cumbersome.

Being an Alchemist, Duke naturally needed such items, so Merrick decided to give all to him without hesitation.
