Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 315: Spoils of War

Duke obtained a Space Ring from Bell, and this ring had an extremely unique design, different from any spatial storage equipment he had seen before.

The band was neither smooth metal nor gemstone, but a dull, deep gray bone-like material that seemed eroded by time, cold to the touch and slightly slippery, as if it were crafted from the remains of some ancient creature.

The entire surface of the ring was carved with the emblem of the Crawford Clan, an eerie pattern of a bleeding, single eye entwined by twisted thorns.

The sharp thorns appeared realistic enough to pierce the skin at any moment.

The single eye was vividly lifelike, with a tiny, deep-black crystal embedded in the pupil that reflected a haunting sheen under the faint light in the void.

This Space Ring also had a spiritual power restriction, meaning only Bell's spiritual power could open it.

If anyone else touched the ring, Bell would immediately sense it.

But now that he was dead, it no longer mattered. Duke directly infused Magic Power into it, forcefully erasing Bell's spiritual power imprint, and then he saw the contents inside.

The space inside wasn't as large as expected, about the size of a regular Level 1 Space Ring.

Inside Bell's Space Ring were piles of Magic Stones, with a rough count revealing over six million Level 1 Magic Stones and fifty thousand Level 2 Magic Stones.

Duke also found a box, the same box that had originally been used to store the Deep Sea Heart in the Flower Sea Plane.

He immediately retrieved it from the ring space, and a heavy wooden box appeared in his hand, emanating a cold and smooth touch with its complex and exquisite sealing runes clearly visible, isolating the aura inside.

When Duke opened it, a rich water element aura, mixed with a vast, ancient, and profound rhythm of life, instantly permeated the surrounding, even calming the chaotic energies in the void for a moment.

A gentle, pure blue light flowed out from the box, like the clearest seawater refracting sunlight, instantly illuminating Duke's face.

At the core of the light was a gemstone about the size of an egg, irregularly shaped, as if it naturally condensed the essence of the ocean and life source power.

Its surface was smooth as a mirror, but its interior wasn't solid; rather, it seemed to contain a miniature, ever-flowing blue ocean, where countless tiny, star-like light points glimmered within its depths.

The tremendous life force and pure elemental origin of water both emanated from this flowing core.

This was the Deep Sea Heart, reportedly a popular adornment among some women, worn as a gemstone.

However, it was evidently an extravagant luxury that ordinary Wizards couldn't afford.

Duke hadn't anticipated that after going around in circles, this item would eventually end up in his hands.

Had he known earlier, he wouldn't have bid against Bell back then, and there would have been more Magic Stones left in Bell's Space Ring, which would have ended up his anyway.

The six million Magic Stones that Bell spent on bidding are now all Duke's money. Just thinking about it pained him.

After inspecting the Deep Sea Heart, Duke placed it into his own Space Ring.

He calculated that now he had already gathered four out of the six types of Crystal Cores needed: the Heart of the Earth, the Deep Sea Heart, the Molten Fire Flower, and the Blood of the Dark, lacking only the Wind Attribute and Light Attribute Crystal Cores.

Although it seemed like only two were missing, it was unclear how long it would take to gather them, and perhaps it would require a long time, as obtaining Crystal Cores was a matter of luck.

Duke being able to gather so many in a short period was already considered extremely lucky.

Of course, Bell made a significant contribution to this, providing Duke with two different attribute Crystal Cores in one go.

Duke continued to explore Bell's Space Ring and found very few Magic Potion Materials, mostly completed Magic Potions, indicating Bell hardly engaged in refining Magic Potions.

Upon reflection, this was quite understandable, as Magic Potion studies required a great deal of time and effort, spending long hours in the laboratory.

Being a descendant of the Crawford Clan, how could Bell spend so much time refining Magic Potions? Such tasks didn't need to be undertaken personally by them at all.

For them, cultivation was just one aspect of life, with many other affairs to manage: social engagements and intrigues were inevitable.

If it weren't for the strong family bloodline they possessed, their progress in cultivation wouldn't have been as rapid.

These Magic Potions added up to be quite valuable, and Duke roughly estimated their worth to be about seventy to eighty thousand Magic Stones.

He also discovered some ancient parchment records, all related to the bloodline of the Crawford Clan, mainly detailing how to tap into the latent power within the bloodline and how to utilize it more swiftly.

Besides that, there were some Dark Attribute Magic spells, which required the Crawford Clan's bloodline to use.

Holding these spells was of no use to Duke; they served only as a reference, providing a brief understanding of Bloodline Magic.

Bell's Space Ring also contained five Level 1 Witchcraft Artifacts and some Demonized Items, which seemed to have been stored for a while unused.

In the recent battle, Duke didn't see Bell use them, likely because they were unsuitable for that fight.

He also found a Crystal Compass, along with very detailed information about the Void Corridor.

This information not only included a more complete map of the Void Corridor but also important coordinate markers, and the Crystal Compass was specifically designed for the Void Corridor, capable of locating specific positions with those coordinates.

Bell had tracked the ever-moving Eternal Darkness Corridor region using these resources, and the process of calculating the coordinates was recorded in recent handwriting.

Duke quickly learned how to use the Crystal Compass, and after glancing at the map, he found the nearest entry point, the twelfth region, which was the way out of the Void Corridor.

The curse within his left arm continued to assault the barrier formed by his Magic Power, with its strength seemingly growing steadily, capable of devouring Magic Power to bolster itself.

If it wasn't resolved promptly, it would likely become a huge hidden danger.

Duke had no idea what the full effects of the curse would be; he didn't want to find out, let alone endure it firsthand.

Once he confirmed his location, he sent a spiritual power message to the Storm Dragon Eagle, which then adjusted course, swiftly flying in the direction Duke indicated.

The information also highlighted some danger zones, and Duke chose a route considered relatively safe.
