"It's a trap!" The person who had been stabbed, suddenly exclaimed as his figure turned into mist that materialized right next to his friends.
Unfortunately, even as his body materialized again, he noticed that the bleeding in his body hadn't stopped.
His eyes widened in disbelief, as he mumbled, "How is that possible?"
Even though he wasn't someone with immense healing abilities, he was still capable enough to heal enough to stop bleeding. But that wasn't happening.
He quickly placed his hand in his pocket and tossed an external healing pill in his mouth. But still, the bleeding didn't stop. The blood kept staining his clothes, even though it wasn't the color of a human's blood.
Meanwhile, the others also reacted fast enough. One of them focused on the person near the window that was holding a dagger in his hand.
Meanwhile, the other two were looking at the newcomer that had just spoken.
"That's right! You're Leo! Did you expect our arrival?"
Although it was dark, they were still able to see Leo clearly. And his face matched the image they had seen before this mission.
"Did you prepare this trap for us? How foolish! If you knew about our arrival, you should've escaped. Did your survival last time give you a little too much confidence in your luck?"
At the same time, he also turned on the camera. Finally, they found the target. They could just take him, and leave everyone else dead.
"I do have a little confidence in my luck, but don't worry. I'm not foolish enough to rely on that," Leo answered. "But that on the other hand, I can easily rely on, since a capable friend recommended it to me."
His finger lazily pointed at the distance, making the intruders subconsciously look towards it.
There, they saw a small candle in the distance. It was lit, but barely to the point that it didn't create any light. Only a small red sparkle could occasionally be seen.
"You know, I was honestly worried. What would happen if you didn't enter? If you tried to burn the mansion right away from outside? But then I realized... The person who sent you here wouldn't want that, would they?"
Leo didn't know that he was being watched in a faraway place.
A large screen was placed in a room which was showing everything that was happening in the hall. And the person getting a clear view of the situation was none other than Fiona.
It was her order, because she wanted to make sure that these people didn't kill Leo and then gave her an excuse. It was also to see if anyone was going to come to help Leo, so she could find out the person backing them.
She had expected thousands of scenarios, like Leo begging for forgiveness, or his backer revealing themselves. But she didn't expect there to be only two people, both being human.
Moreover, Leo was still looking quite calm and confident, which gave her a bad feeling.
"There's no need to drag things. Knock him out and bring him to me," she lazily said, her voice reaching the ears of the person with a clear view of Leo.
"Hah, although I wanted to see you hopping around a little longer, but the boss has given the instructions. It's time to end things."
The black haired man stepped forward confidently. However, just as he took a step, he felt like something was wrong. It was as if his legs had lost their feelings.
He quickly lost his balance, falling forward, his head starting to spin.
"What happened?" He rubbed his forehead, while trying to force his body up, only to feel that his hands also couldn't muster up enough strength.
With disbelief, he looked at the candle in the distance.
"What is that... thhisugeususg..." He tried to ask, but soon realized that even his vocal chords were messed up. Only a mess of words came out.
He was drugged, and he didn't even realize it! His body's natural immune system had failed him.
Before he could ask others for help, he heard more thuds, as the others that had entered with him, also lost balance and started falling on the ground.
Even the person who was trying to control his bleeding, fell on his knees, his bleeding still not stopped.
Leo stepped forward, and went down on a knee, merely a meter away from the person glaring at him with bloodshot eyes.
"I told you, I'm not confident in my luck. It has often screwed me over. I'm not confident in my strength either. I know what I'm capable of, after all. And strength isn't my forte."
He reached out his hand, placing his fingers under the man's chin, raising his head.
"So did you never wonder why I waited for you here, despite being weaker than you?" Leo asked, a mocking grin remaining on his confident lips.
"It was because..." Leo slowly said, and the other person, perked up his ears to listen.
However, the answer didn't come. What came up was a powerful slap from Leo, which made his head spinning even more, as he passed out.
"Ouch!" Meanwhile, Leo looked at his hand, which was throbbing. "Why was his face so firm? Can a poor man not even slap a person anymore without their hands hurting?"
Leo stood up, and looked at the other three. One after another, he stomped on each of their heads, making them pass out, one after another.
"How did it feel to make one of them bleed?" Leo stepped over the back of an intruder, and walked past them.
He approached the person near the window, whose knife was covered in strange colored blood.
Picollo looked at the knife. It was the first time he had hurt a person, but he didn't feel bad. He didn't feel scared, but there was no comfort either.
He didn't feel as good as he thought he would. It was a strange feeling after all.
"Can you help me tie them up? There should still be one more person that needs to be handled." Leo placed a rope in Picollo's hand, and looked back.
