"What would happen to me?" The goblin tilted his head in confusion as he walked in the air, going past Leo's head.
He walked around the table and sat on a chair that had also returned to its position.
"So where were we?" The goblin rubbed his forehead, and then suddenly snapped his fingers, as if remembering. "Oh, right! You were asking how you can use your credits. Let me explain..."
"Although our branch doesn't work under the global financial framework, it won't become a restriction for you."
"Through our branch, you can transfer credits to any account, or make any use you want of them. They would be off the records of the global financial network until you need them."
"If you transfer credits to another bank account, or transfer them to someone else, they would certainly reach that person. There won't be any suspicious trail left behind, and it won't be traced back to you."
Leo's eyes lit up, realizing the hidden meaning behind the branch manager's words.
"In other words... My credits are off the records of the financial watchdogs of this universe, yet they can still be used without any worries? Your branch will give me complete anonymity and protection."
"That is correct. I'm glad to know that our dear customer is so smart." The goblin pulled open his drawer and brought out a glass bowl that was filled with candies.
"Here, candy for you." He placed his hand in the glass bowl filled with hundreds of colorful candies, yet he brought out only one and handed it over to Leo.
"Aren't you being a little too stingy?" Leo asked even as he took the candy, which was the size of a speck of salt, in his hand.
Now that he had an assurance that his private funds were safe and usable, he had become a lot more relaxed. His expression had eased as he tossed the tiny candy into his mouth, barely feeling anything.
The little goblin narrowed his eyes and quickly pulled the bowl back, hiding it in his drawer.
Leo clicked his tongue, wondering if he really looked like someone who was planning to rob his little branch manager of his candies.
The little goblin looked like he was facing the biggest challenge of his life... The challenge to protect his candies from his only customer.
The goblin quickly changed the topic to distract Leo from his precious candies. "Is there anything else I can help you with, Dear Customer?"
Leo didn't know if he should laugh or cry. He really wanted to say that he had no interest in the candies. Even the one that he ate, he barely tasted since it was so small.
"Yeah, I had a question about your bank's application. Why doesn't it open?"
"Hmm? Isn't it already open?" The Little Manager tilted his head in confusion. "The application is just a shortcut to summon the Branch Manager, which is me. Didn't it already work?"
"So I have to summon you every time I need to use the funds? Wouldn't that be a bother for you?" Leo asked, before remembering that this shameless little goblin only had one customer. So, what bother?
"Forget it. I understand. I have no further questions," he added, ending the conversation.
"In that case, I will be on my way. Once again, it was a pleasure to meet you, dear customer." The little goblin stood up and reached out his hand to shake Leo's hand again.
Leo also reached out his finger and shook his personal wealth manager's hand.
"By the way, can I take some more candies?" Leo jokingly asked, trying to tease his tiny manager.
The goblin's face went pale in horror. He was extremely worried about the wellbeing of his candies.
He wrapped his arms around his work table and immediately disappeared, as if running away as fast as he could.
Leo burst out in laughter as he sat back on his chair. His little manager wasn't too bad, after all.
"My dear system, it looks like you can't just create credits out of thin air. You can create an entire bank out of thin air. Just what exactly are you?" he asked, not expecting any answer.
To his surprise, he did get a response from his system. However, it wasn't the answer to his question.
A notification screen appeared before him, showing something which pleasantly surprised him.

[Reward Calculation has been completed. Reward has been finalized]
[Congratulations, Host. You have been rewarded with an Innate Ability]
[Ability: Hand of Misfortune]
"Hand of Misfortune? Is that supposed to be a reward or a punishment?"
He tapped on the ability name on the screen, and a detailed description screen opened before him.
[Innate Ability: Hand of Misfortune]
[Ability Type: Passive Ability]
[Description: Any business or person you invest in will receive a random level of misfortune]
There was not much detail about the skill, yet the parts that were mentioned made Leo smile.
Wasn't this a perfect skill for his system? What did he want? Losses in business. The first time his plans had failed because he was lucky. But if all his businesses were getting misfortunes, then wasn't it a guarantee of success?
"My dear system, you are truly my safety net. Thank you for the reward."
If the system were a real person, Leo would've tightly hugged him right now.
Adding this passive skill on top of his system was like giving wings to a tiger.
"Now nothing can stop me from losing money! With this skill, even if the entire universe wanted me to succeed, I will not! I will claw failure out of the jaws of success!"
....
Meanwhile, on the Ancient Planet of the Galactic Union, an entire entourage had gathered to welcome the envoy of Necropolis.
In the last few days, the crowd of high-ranking people that had gathered on this planet had reached a level never seen before.
The Leaders of all the High Planets had gathered at this place, a sight that was rare even during high-level meetings of the Galactic Union.
"It should be anytime now."
The Leaders were waiting before the Galactic Union, looking at the sky.
Suddenly, a spatial crack opened in the sky. Although it was thousands of light years away from the planet, it was so large that it could be seen by everyone on the ancient planet.
From the spatial crack, a massive yet frightening ship flew out, accompanied by the aura of death.
Leo had arrived at the Galactic Union.
