I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 48: Ancient Seats Gathering

"They are here!" the Galactic Union Leader said, his heart starting to beat faster.

The others also straightened their backs. While some patted their clothes, others gulped heavily.

The Union Leader clapped his hands, and immediately the battle fleet of the Galactic Union split up, clearing a path for the Necropolis Battleship.

Leo watched the giant planet approach, his hands tightly clenched behind his back. He was finally arriving at his destination.

He didn't realize that the other side was just as nervous as he was, if not more so. The ship passed through the opening created by the battleships, stopping just outside the ancient planet's atmosphere.

Even though this planet was large, it wasn't large enough for a Necropolis ship to land without destroying the landscape of mountains and seas.

Through the massive glass viewport, Leo had a complete view of the giant planet, which was slightly smaller than Necropolis yet multiple times larger than Earth.

"You can beam me down," Leo commanded, hiding his face behind a mask once more.

An automated system within the ship followed his order.

A ray of light shrouded his body, and he began to disappear. Another ray of light materialized on the Ancient Planet.

A figure emerged within the beam, clad in all black. His hair was hidden within a hood attached to his robe, and his face was concealed behind the mask.

The mask hid even his eyes, making him look even more menacing. On his back was a bone sword.

The appearance of the envoy was shocking, but what shocked the High Lords even more was the sword on Leo's back.

Most of them hadn't been there when Voldred used the sword to eliminate all obstacles in his path. They didn't know the history of the sword, yet they could feel that it was no simple weapon from any angle.

Even though they were from high planets and carried the pure blood of powerful species, they could still feel a chill creeping down their spines in the presence of the sword. It was as if their instincts were warning them of danger.

"Greetings to the Necropolis Envoy." The Galactic Lord gathered his courage and stepped forward.

However, he had taken only a single step when he froze, looking up at the sky once more.

His face twisted in horror as he saw another spatial crack opening, as large as the one before.

A ship emerged from the new spatial rift.

The new ship wasn't any smaller than the Necropolis ship. If there was a difference, it was that this battleship looked more divine than deathly.

"This..." The Galactic Union Lord gulped heavily. "Seraphs? What are they doing here?!"

What he worried about most had just happened. Necropolis' appearance had brought forth the arrival of another ancient species.

The second ancient seat holder had arrived, and without any notice.

What if the two sides started fighting here? This was the worst possible situation. How did the other Ancient Species get this information? Did someone leak the news of the Necropolis Envoy's arrival?

Who could do this?! The Galactic Union Lord looked around at the faces of the High Seat Holders.

"It's you!" the Galactic Union Leader exclaimed in disbelief, glaring at the person responsible. "You leaked this information! Are you a fool with a death wish? Why would you do something so stupid?!"

The person was none other than the Elven Emperor. Every other high seat member looked just as shocked. Only the Elven Emperor wore a calm expression, as if he had expected this.

The Elven Emperor didn't offer any explanation. He simply looked at the newly arrived battleship of the seraph.

Leo also looked up. Through the mask, his eyes observed the massive ship. Deep within his heart, a bad feeling began to rise.

If anyone could have removed the mask from his face, they would have seen a look of confusion and panic.

What the hell is going on? As if I wasn't already stressed enough after finding out that my destination was the Galactic Union's Headquarters, now this...? Don't tell me it's an enemy of Necropolis?

Leo remained still, watching the ship get closer to the planet. Unlike his still body, his mind was a mess.

Unfortunately, things were only about to get worse. Across the galaxy, another spatial crack opened, and a third ancient battleship flew out.

Unlike the second ship, a person could be seen on the third ship. The person was literally standing atop the ancient battleship, seemingly unbothered by the lack of oxygen.

The person on the third ship looked down, his gaze falling on Leo. More specifically, his gaze fell on the bone sword on Leo's back. The corner of his lips curled up in a devilish smile.

Fortunately, the robe gifted by Voldred managed to hide Leo's aura, making it impossible to decipher his real species. No one could see that he wasn't actually an undead, but a living human.

It was the robe that made it impossible for the other person to see through Leo's real identity and his strength, or lack thereof.

"So, Necropolis finally came out of hiding."

Even though that person was standing far away on the ship, Leo heard his voice as if he were speaking right next to him.

"You alerted the third ancient seat as well? Just what are you planning?!" The Galactic Union Lord was filled with panic.

The arrival of three ancient seats at the same time... The last time this happened, it was the great war that the survivors still couldn't forget.

Leo felt like digging a hole in the ground and hiding inside. Wasn't the hand of misfortune going to ruin his business? Why did it seem like the misfortune was entirely his?

It shouldn't have been this way. As Leo thought about it, he heard the Galactic Union Lord's shout, accusing the Elven Lord of alerting the other two Ancient Seats.

He glanced at the Elven Lord, ignoring the ancient ships drawing closer to the planet.

The person on the third ship clicked his tongue, sensing Leo's complete ignorance of him.

He didn't know that Leo wasn't ignoring him intentionally. It was just that Leo didn't know how to project his voice over such a great distance as that person had.

Since he couldn't do anything else, he could only take control of the situation. At this moment, his identity was both his biggest weapon and his biggest shackle.

Everything that happened next depended on how he could handle this. He had to take control.

"You leaked the information of my arrival?" He stepped closer to the Elven Lord.
