"How did you find me?" Cipher asked.

"I just randomly saw a vision of Brother Cipher dying and felt I had to come save you," Maya explained. She then puffed up proudly. "Then I noticed that woman had the same scent as you, so I followed her here. I'm smart, right?" She looked at him expectantly, waiting for praise.

"Mmm, yeah. Very smart," he said.

He then observed her carefully. Now that he thought about it, she was letting out quite the aura. And the way she had approached them - she had even evaded his ESP detection.

He activated Appraisal.

He observed the stats in shock. Since when was she a Saintess? And for the God of Time, no less.

But what was with those weird skills?

"Is something wrong?" she asked, noticing his expression.

"Ah, no. Nothing," he said.

He looked at the tracking ability again. Were all the Saintesses like this? Elara could somehow track him too. Was it because he was a regressor? Then was this the secret the Love Goddess had said she knew?

He turned his attention to her Lord of Time skill, specifically the Time Vision subskill:

She had probably detected his death thanks to this.

Maya tilted her head in thought. "No, I haven't. But my ability, Lord of Time... it might be related to them. I'm not really sure."

Cipher fell into thought. Even though she was a Saintess, she didn't seem to know anything about her patron deity.

"What about me?" he asked. "Have you had any strange visions about me? Apart from the one you told me about."

She looked at him, and her expression shifted.

"Cipher... I..." She began breathing heavily, her hands trembling slightly.

"Umm, it's not that important. Don't think about it too much," he said quickly, placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "Just tell me when you see something."

She steadied herself and nodded. "Alright."

His expression then grew serious. "How did your class evolve?" he asked.

Maya's brow furrowed slightly. "It happened randomly, to be honest. I don't remember it all that well. One moment I was normal, and then..." She trailed off, shaking her head. "It's all a bit fuzzy."

Cipher nodded slowly.

"Do you have any information on the others?" he asked.

Maya brightened slightly. "Before I left to find you, I heard from my master about their whereabouts. Selene is in the Jade Peak Sect. Ryker is in the Whispering Pines Valley. Dante is in the Flowing Stream Sect. And Li Chen is in the Dragon Cloud Mountain."

He nodded. He didn't know exactly where these places were, but he should be able to find them by asking around. They sounded grandiose enough that they should be fairly well-known.

But before he could go find them, he needed to prepare first.

He had leveled up quite a bit and accumulated a decent number of free points. And aside from that, he had advanced over twenty major realms, meaning he could roll for cheats twenty times.

Lyra had really worked hard.

Unfortunately, without him present during all that grinding, he had earned less than he could have. He hadn't been able to distribute stats along the way, and his true rank had increased inefficiently as a result.

No matter.

He decided to begin with distributing stats. He had 198 of them.

He instantly deducted 15, increasing all his stats to 160 and officially breaking through to A-Rank.

Now with that out of the way, he could distribute the rest of the points freely. He decided to spread them equally, giving 45 points to each stat and bringing them all to 205.

That left just 3 points remaining, which he decided to keep. Not that it really mattered where he put them. At these levels of power, one or two points didn't mean much.

That being said, he was quite disappointed. Over a hundred level-ups and he was still stuck in A-Rank, with over a hundred points needed to enter S-Rank. And that was over a hundred for each stat - so more like over four hundred total.

Well, at least he didn't have to worry too much. He had Lyra with him, and she was already SSS-Rank just by herself.

He scratched his head.

But he seemed to have angered her somehow.

He should find a way to get back on her good side so he could use her to blitz through the cultivation world and rescue his teammates.
