Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 72: Class Advancement Investigating the Underworld

Inside the shop, a few people looked at George with curiosity, not knowing who he was. How could he not fear Kent, and why was Anna so respectful toward him?

"Are you not afraid of Kent's revenge? He's a member of the Temple Guild," George asked, following Anna up to the VIP room on the second floor.

The Temple Guild was one of the three top SSR-tier guilds in the Human Federation. Even on the international level, they had a lot of power.

Anna smiled calmly. She leaned over and personally poured George a cup of tea. "The Temple Guild is strong, but our class change association is official. They wouldn't dare do anything to me. Plus, I might get transferred to the Sovereign City headquarters."

"Are you going to the Sovereign City headquarters?" George was surprised.

That was a huge jump. Aurion City was just a small city. Anna was moving straight from the local area to the central office.

"That's all thanks to you," Anna smiled even more. "Because of the materials you provided, the higher-ups gave me a promotion."

She guessed that George was a member of a big family in the Sovereign City. He was definitely going back. That's why they transferred her to the Sovereign City - to get closer to George.

"By the way," she thought of something and asked carefully, "what about what Kent said? That you were kicked out of Aurion High. What was the reason? Should I help you fix it?"

"No need. That's what I wanted to do anyway," George said without caring. Even if he wasn't a student, he could still take the college entrance exam. And it would be more free.

Anna nodded. She didn't ask any more questions. She believed that George's status would let him enter the Obsidian Academy. He probably had a background in the Sovereign City. That's why he came to Aurion City for testing - to stay hidden.

George continued, "I came here to sell some materials, and I also want to do a class advancement."

"Ahem...!"

Anna was choked by the tea. Her eyes widened as she stared at George, in disbelief. "Mr. George, you... you didn't kill a 40-level Abyss boss, did you?"

She knew what the fourth-tier class test required.

Killing a 40-level Abyss boss was something even the mayor of Aurion City, Emma, couldn't do.

Who was the strong person behind George?

If she found out George had no powerful support, she would be shocked.

George smiled and nodded. "I need you to help me get a crystal."

"O-okay," Anna opened her mouth, her voice a bit shaky. She stood up and left the room.

She came back quickly with a crystal ball and handed it to George.

"Thank you."

George took the crystal ball and pressed it lightly with his hand. It cracked and broke.

[Ice Dragon King upgraded to level 2.]

A string of message pop-ups flashed one after another.

George had completed the class change for both of his professions, and both had advanced by one stage.

Especially his Frost Mage class had jumped directly to S-tier, and his overall strength had taken a huge leap forward.

He looked at the massive amount of experience points stored in his system and tried to level up.

[Bing! There's an experience seal in place. The seal can be removed by completing the quest for War Ghost Eliex.]

Sure enough, he still couldn't level up.

"Mr. George, do you still need a crystal ball?" Anna asked carefully.

"Not for now," George sighed and shook his head. He had enough experience to reach level 40. It looked like he had to finish Eliex's quest as soon as possible.

Once he reached level 40, he could unlock another Taming target. He didn't know what kind of pet it would be this time.

George was full of excitement.

Anna clearly felt relieved. She was actually worried that George would level up to 40 again and keep getting class change quests.

If that happened, she might have had a breakdown.

George stood up and said, "I still have a lot of materials to sell. Let's go somewhere else."

"Okay, go to the back yard," Anna quickly stood up and led the way.

They arrived at the spacious backyard. George dumped all the S-tier or lower materials from his bag, piling them into a small mountain.

Gulp!

Anna looked at all the materials. Even though she had expected it, she still felt shocked.

"Mr. George, did you really go into the Abyss? These are all materials from Abyss monsters!"

She looked at the S-tier Infernal Lord's corpse, and more than ten A-tier and S-tier black-armored beetles. All of them were Abyss monsters.

She had thought George was just lucky, killing one Abyss monster in another secret zone. But with so many materials, it was clear only the Abyss could produce them.

George didn't explain much. He just said, "Estimate the price."

Anna calmed down and said, "Mr. George, as usual, the valuable materials will be auctioned. I'll handle it for you in about a week."

"That's fine. You decide." George had no objection.

"Also, Mr. George, the materials you gave me last time have already been auctioned. They were worth over 137 million. Should I transfer it directly to your bank account?" Anna asked, thinking back to the last batch.

So much?

George was surprised. He thought the last batch would sell for around 70 or 80 million at best, but it had sold for over 137 million.

He was now a multi-billionaire.

"Transfer it directly to my bank account," George said. He didn't have any demands. To be honest, money was just a number to him now.

George returned to his accommodation at night.

He looked at the empty luxury villa and sighed.

This villa was a bit of a waste. If he was actually accepted into the Obsidian Academy and went to the Sovereign City, it would just sit empty.

"Temporary place to stay," George yawned. After a day of battle, he was completely exhausted. He took a quick shower and went to bed.

...

The Sovereign City.

Ministry of Education.

Lights were still on.

In the meeting room, several important people were gathered.

The one sitting at the head was an old man with gray hair, sharp and wise.

James, the head of the Ministry, also known as the War God.

Lately, several bosses in the Underworld secret zone had been disappearing. This time, one was missing for a full day.

With the College Entrance Exam coming up, the Underworld secret zone absolutely couldn't have any problems. He had already sent people to investigate, but there was still no result.

Suddenly, the light flickered, and a man suddenly appeared in the meeting room. His face was pale, and he was breathing heavily, looking completely shaken.

"Darren, did you check it out?" James immediately asked.

The man named Darren tried to calm himself down and nodded. "War God, the secret zone really has a problem."

"What's going on? Tell us in detail," someone asked.

Darren nodded. "I went into the secret zone and checked for a whole day. The Goblin King, the Elf Saint, and that Sky Knight were all gone. They must have left the zone. Also, one of the four Underworld guardians, Flame-Winged Demon Austin, was killed..."

"Austin is dead?"

Someone gasped.

Flame-Winged Demon Austin was a 35-level, stage SR-tier monster. Except for the other three bosses of the Underworld and the Black Dragon Asos, there was no one who could fight him.

"Could the bosses have fought each other?" someone guessed.

In some large secret zones, bosses often fought over territory. But Austin was a subordinate of the Black Dragon, so this shouldn't have happened.

"That's not the worst part," Darren swallowed hard, looking terrified. "Just now, the Holy Spirit Saintess and the Sky Knight suddenly appeared. They were with two SSR-tier 40-level monster bosses. If I hadn't run fast, I would have died in the secret zone."

"What? SSR-tier monsters?" Some people in the room stood up in shock.

Such monsters were way beyond what students could handle. Could the Underworld still be used as the exam zone for the College Entrance Exam?

James frowned and asked, "What kind of monsters were those two?"

Darren quickly said, "One was a Golden Flame Dragon, and the other was a demon. The most strange thing was that I felt the Goblin King's aura coming from that demon."

"Golden Flame Dragon? SSR-tier demon? What's going on in this secret zone?" One person grabbed his hair, confused.

The Golden Flame Dragon was a monster in the hidden area of the Underworld. At that time, it was only at one tier and almost dead. They hadn't noticed it.

"The Underworld secret zone is clearly out of our control. It might not be suitable as the exam zone anymore."

"But there's only half a month left. Where else can we find a good secret zone?"

"Right, it's too tight on time. And this Underworld secret zone was for the God-Making..."

The group started arguing. They couldn't decide and all looked at James, who was sitting at the head.

James frowned and thought for a while before asking, "Darren, is there a problem in the Underworld?"

Darren shook his head. "I can't enter the Underworld. But I can feel the Black Dragon's aura, and the Blazing Angel that was captured is still there. Nothing bad has happened, I think."

"Sir, are you still going to use the Underworld secret zone as the exam?" someone couldn't help but ask.

James said calmly, "We've been preparing for this God-Making plan for years. We finally found a Blazing Angel that was injured and captured. We can't just give up now. Besides, the secret zone is still open, and if students face danger, they can just leave immediately."
