Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 73: Exam Leakage? Entering Death Graveyard

James made the decision, and no one else objected.

"I just hope this exam won't cost too many students their lives," someone said quietly.

In the past, the College Entrance Exam was difficult, but not too dangerous. But this time was different. The Underworld secret zone was clearly out of their control. If students met a strong boss, they might not be able to escape in time.

"That's unavoidable. We lose nearly ten thousand soldiers every day on the front lines. If we can't change the situation, the human race is in big trouble. It's better to take a chance than to be slowly eaten away by monsters."

"Right. These students have been too protected in recent years. That's not a good thing."

"Now that we've decided to use the Underworld for the exam, I think the rules need to change," someone said.

"The final exam content stays the same, but the passing standard can be lowered. Anyone who kills a C-tier boss or survives in the zone for seven days passes," one person suggested.

"I think the rules can be made even easier. Killing a D-tier boss or surviving for three days is enough to pass," another said.

...

They talked and argued, discussing the exact rules for the exam.

In the end, the specific rules were set.

100 points for surviving one day. 10 points for killing a monster above level 20. Anyone who reaches 100 points graduates. 200 points gets you into college. For schools like the Obsidian Academy, you need over 1,000 points, and only the top 10,000 students are accepted.

"Sir, I'll send people to all the major cities to distribute Underworld permits," a serious middle-aged man stood up and said.

"Good. Everyone, you're all dismissed," James said after confirming the rules. He reminded them of a few more things before ending the meeting.

Night had fallen, but the Sovereign City was still bright with lights. The Underworld permits made at the research institute were sent to the military zones, then delivered to cities across the Human Federation.

...

George woke up early and had a quick breakfast.

"I'll try to take out three more bosses today," he thought. He still needed to kill six more SS-tier bosses to finish the legendary equipment quest and Eliex's mission.

He took out the Abyss secret zone permit and focused. A flash of light, and he was transported to Death Graveyard.

The area was foggy and quiet. It was an abandoned cemetery filled with death energy.

This was also one of the places Eliex had marked, and there were three SS-tier bosses here.

35-level Screaming Banshee Veyra, 35-level Death Warlord Russell, and 40-level Immortal King Jason.

With Constantine's team, they should be able to handle them.

George didn't want to go in blindly. He focused again and summoned Elise and the others.

"Master!"

"Lord!"

They saw the surroundings and bowed respectfully. The Golden Flame Dragon landed on his shoulder and rubbed its face against his cheek, showing affection.

"Lord, last night, a weak human entered my territory. But that guy got away," Constantine said, thinking about the human he met the night before.

"Your territory? The Underworld?" George was shocked.

The Underworld was the exam site for the College Entrance Exam this time. Besides him, how could anyone else be here?

Had the exam question really leaked?

Maybe it was someone from the Ministry.

"Who was that person's level?" George asked curiously.

Constantine tilted his huge, ugly head and looked thoughtful.

"Of course, your IQ still hasn't gone up," Elise said with a sneer. "That guy was at least 40-level. His class stage was at least SS tier."

40-level and SS-tier class? That was a weak human?

George was speechless. These guys had grown too fast. What they called a "weak human" was already one of the top fighters in Aurion City.

"An ugly elf who talks too much, I'm about to think of it!" Constantine said, upset.

He had just gotten a chance to show off in front of the Lord, and that elf had stolen the spotlight.

George ignored the two arguing. He was sure that the guy was a strong person from the Ministry.

The Underworld secret zone was the exam topic for the College Entrance Exam this time. It couldn't have leaked.

Then he realized a serious problem.

Elise and the others had changed too much, especially Constantine and the Golden Flame Dragon. They were already 40-level, and the Golden Flame Dragon was an SSR-tier boss pet. The exam had gone way beyond the syllabus. Would the Ministry change the exam topic again?

But even if they did, George didn't care. With these guys around, he could easily beat any College Entrance Exam secret zone.

"By the way," George suddenly thought of something and interrupted Elise and Constantine's argument. "When you suddenly disappeared from the secret zone, did anyone notice?"

He knew that in some secret zones controlled by humans, any monster disappearing or dying would be sensed.

"I don't know," Elise shook her head. She wasn't sure if the Underworld secret zone was under human surveillance.

"Lord, from my observation, there's nothing strange in the secret zone. They might sense our disappearance, but they haven't taken any action," Melina said.

"I agree," Constantine quickly added.

The two girls rolled their eyes. They still didn't think much of his intelligence.

"Whatever. Let's finish the legendary equipment and Forbidden Spell quest first," George stopped thinking about it. He looked at the gray, ruined graveyard and asked, "There are two 35-level SS-tier bosses and one 40-level SS-tier boss here. Can you handle them?"

"No problem. Lord, I'll go first!" Constantine jumped forward first, waving a war hammer that didn't match his size, and rushed into the graveyard.

"Such a reckless big guy," Elise muttered quietly and stayed close to George.

Yesterday, that beetle king had suddenly attacked and almost threatened George. She was still nervous about it. This time, no matter how strong the boss was, she had to stay by her master's side to make sure he was safe.

"Invader, detected invader..."

As George stepped into the cemetery, a series of broken voices echoed around.

Then the ground cracked open, and a bunch of undead creatures crawled out from the old graves.

They were 30-level undead soldiers, wearing broken armor, showing their bare bones, and holding rusted weapons. Their eye sockets had glowing soul fire.

"Hmph, a bunch of ants!" Constantine sneered and swung his war hammer, slamming it down hard.

Boom!

A loud explosion. Dozens of Head Necromancers were sent flying, their bones broken, and the soul fire in their eye sockets went out. They were dead.

...

The prompt messages kept coming, and George's experience pool was growing fast.

There was a lot of materials and gear, but most of the gear was broken. It could only be sold or used as materials for re-forging.

If things kept going like this, once he finished these two quests and broke the level seal, he could jump straight to level 40.

Even Elise and the others might reach level 50.

"Master, there are a lot of undead soldiers here. At least tens of thousands," Elise said, standing by George's side. She waved her staff, and magic shot out, easily killing the undead soldiers that came close.

From the distance, the ground kept moving. A huge number of undead soldiers crawled out, just like the black armored beetles from yesterday. They kept coming, never-ending, and charged at the group without fear.

But these undead soldiers couldn't fly, so they were less dangerous than the beetles.

Crunch...

The ground under George was already covered in broken bones. In less than half a day, he had killed tens of thousands of undead soldiers, but he still hadn't found the boss.

"Constantine, stop playing around. Find the boss hiding here," George interrupted Constantine, who was busy crushing skeletons.

"Yes!"

Constantine responded and smashed the last group of undead soldiers. Then he spread his demon wings, flew into the air, and created a strong wind. The fog moved, and he searched the cemetery above.

Soon, he found something.

"Lord, there's a tomb deeper in the cemetery," Constantine said quickly.

"Lead the way," George guessed that the underground tomb was where the three bosses were.

Elise and Melina stayed close to George, destroying the approaching skeletons as they rushed toward the tomb that Constantine pointed out.

A huge tomb appeared in front of them. Below was a large, dark entrance leading underground, completely black inside.

"Lord, I'll go first," Constantine said, rushing into the tomb.

George and the others followed closely.

Whoosh...

A cold wind blew, and then a soft, sad, and beautiful song came from somewhere.

The voice was light and cheerful, but it gave a feeling of sorrow and hopelessness.

"This song is weird," Melina frowned, her mood automatically being affected by the song, falling into sadness.

"That's not right. It's a soul attack!" Elise suddenly realized and quickly said, "Master, cover your ears. Don't let this song affect you."

George also realized it and covered his ears.

But the sound was powerful, like it was hitting his soul directly. It still echoed in his mind, making his emotions follow the tune.

"Strange, is this song that strong?" Constantine looked at the others, who were acting like it was a big threat, and scratched his head, looking confused.

"Does it not affect you?" Melina asked, surprised.

Elise said, "Probably because this guy is too dumb to understand music."

"Ugly elf, I can tell you're mocking me!" Constantine shouted angrily.

George quickly said, "Stop arguing. Constantine, go in and break this song!"
