Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 87: Dark Wolfguard the Powerful Wolf King

The group took a step back, looking at Constantine with clear disgust.

This guy's taste wasn't just twisted—it was totally sick.

George sighed and said, "You think she's pretty, but you attacked her like that?"

The noise earlier was loud. There was no sign of him holding back.

"Wasn't it the Lord's orders to kill her?" Constantine said, looking completely normal.

George opened his mouth, then closed it again. He had no words. He stopped talking and looked at the loot dropped by Spider Queen Nox.

A pile of SS-tier materials. Perfect for making potions or poisons.

Two diamond-tier items. The poison dagger was for assassins, which none of them could use.

The Purification Necklace, however, was good. It had a purification effect and added 2 points of poison resistance.

George put it on immediately. His stats got a little better.

"Lily, how high have you gotten?" He picked up the Spider Queen's body and asked.

The sacred dragon gauntlet quest and Eliex's mission were both done. As long as he submitted them, he could keep leveling up.

But he wanted to get Lily to level 40 first. Maybe that would help speed up the awakening of the Golden Flame Dragon.

"I'm at 32 now, almost 33," Lily said, checking her level.

The higher the level, the harder it was to gain. She now needed over 500,000 experience just to level up.

"Let's try to get you to level 40 before tonight," George thought about where they could level up. A place with a lot of 40-level monsters would be best.

Constantine and the others were strong enough to take them down. Plus, killing monsters higher than their level gave extra experience.

"Lord, shouldn't we take down that Wolf King Bal?" Constantine asked, confused.

"The Wolf King Bal is already level 50. My quest is done. No need to take the risk." George didn't want to take chances. The Golden Flame Dragon was still asleep, and his team had lost some strength.

"Master, I think we should try. And that Dark Knight Aaron is an SSR-tier monster. Giving it as a quest item would be a waste," Elise said.

"Lord, we can handle it," Melina nodded in agreement.

"Are you sure?" George looked at Constantine.

The two girls were only SR-tier. They weren't a match for the Wolf King Bal.

"I can handle it," Constantine said confidently. He had absorbed the Lord's Authority Token and became a demon count. His stats had improved a lot. He really could fight with a level advantage.

George thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, let's go take down the Wolf King. If things get dangerous, fall back immediately."

The Wolf King's territory was on the edge of the Dark Forest. The most important thing was that there were a lot of wolves around. It was a great place to level up, and it would help Lily reach level 40 fast.

The group left the cave and headed toward the Wolf King Bal's territory.

It was already morning. The forest was quiet. The sunlight couldn't reach the ground through the thick trees. The forest was dark and spooky.

Monster after monster appeared in the woods. George and the others moved carefully.

Thankfully, this was the outer edge of the Dark Forest. The monsters weren't too strong. Most were between 30 and 40 levels.

Elise and the others handled them easily.

Howl...

Then, a long, echoing wolf howl echoed from the front. The trees became sparse, and a wide open plain appeared.

This was the territory of the Dark Wolfguard.

"Wow, it's a level 45 monster!" George noticed a few Dark Wolfguard wandering in the forest nearby. Their level was already 45.

"Lord, leave it to me!"

Constantine was excited. He took a big step and rushed forward, his huge body attacking the Dark Wolfguard quickly.

Elise and Melina didn't move. They stayed by George's sides, guarding him.

"Die!" Constantine roared. He swung his War Hammer. A big black bone whistled through the air.

Four Dark Wolfguard didn't even have time to scream. They were smashed into meat mush.

[Dropped: Howl of the Wolf ×2, Wolf Fang ×5...]

The message popped up.

"That's brutal," Lily said, watching Constantine go wild. She couldn't help but comment.

George felt the same way.

The wolf howls echoed. The big noise woke up the Dark Wolfguard on the grassland. They roared and rushed forward.

"Come on!" Constantine was excited. He swung his War Hammer and ran into the wolf pack.

One by one, the wolf-sized monsters were blasted away. Blood and meat flew everywhere. The Dark Wolfguard couldn't stand Constantine's attack at all.

Some Dark Wolfguard targeted George and the others. They roared and charged.

"Want to die?" Melina said with a light voice. She moved her spear slightly. A few spear images appeared and swept out.

A few Dark Wolfguard flew backward with screams.

Elise also quickly gathered her magic. Fireballs, wind blades, and ice arrows flew out, covering a big group of Dark Wolfguard.

George and Lily weren't idle either. They used magic skills from time to time to attack.

The cries of the Dark Wolfguard echoed all over the grassland. They were killed by the group's attacks.

...

The messages kept coming. George's experience was growing fast.

Over the past few days, he had collected over 70 million experience. After finishing Eliex's quest, he should be around level 45.

The group had moved deep into the grassland. There were more Dark Wolfguard here. They kept coming in waves. Sometimes, A-tier or S-tier Dark Wolfguard bosses showed up.

But Wolf King Bal still wasn't found.

George wasn't worried. Getting experience was the most important thing.

Roars and cries echoed. The place the group passed left behind a lot of dead wolves.

"George, my bag is full," Lily said, looking at the pile of materials.

"Already? Throw away all B-tier and lower materials," George looked at his own bag. It was almost full too. He didn't even pick up B-tier materials.

"Ah, isn't that a waste?" Lily said, a bit sad. "What if we go back to sell the materials and come back?"

"Too much trouble. These B-tier materials aren't worth much." George didn't want to waste time.

Plus, the Abyss Realm pass was much more valuable than these materials.

Lily opened her mouth but had no idea how to argue.

A few B-tier materials weren't worth much, but she had thousands of them. They were worth at least several million.

"Well, okay," she sighed, feeling sad. After a long hesitation, she finally threw away the B-tier and lower materials.

"How high are you now?" George asked, curious.

"I'm already level 35. At this rate, I can get to 40 before dark," Lily said. She was a little worried.

She hadn't told her father she was in the Abyss Realm, nor had she said she'd be away for two days.

Her father was probably worried sick by now.

But the level-up speed was really nice. Her father probably wouldn't be angry at her.

"Howl!"

Suddenly, a long, echoing wolf howl rang out. From deep in the grassland came an angry roar: "Who dares to mess with my Wolfguard Ridge?!"

Far away, a monster appeared — a creature with a wolf's head and a human body.

Wolf King Bal.

This guy was actually a werewolf.

Before George could react, the Wolf King vanished in a flash and appeared above Constantine. His black warblade swung down with a loud roar, cutting through the air with a massive blade of energy.

Constantine sneered, showing no fear. He gripped the black bone in his hand, his arm veins bulging as he swung it hard to meet the blade.

Boom!

A huge explosion. Constantine was sent flying backward and hit the ground hard.

Although Constantine's stage was higher than the Wolf King, his level was too low. He was clearly outmatched.

"Drink the Amplification Potion."

George gave a quick reminder, then activated the Jason General Medal's battle spirit, boosting his pets' overall stats by 30%.

"Die!"

Feeling his strength increase, Constantine's confidence grew. He roared and rushed at the Wolf King.

"Unbelievable."

The Wolf King sneered. His red eyes burned with bloodlust. He leaped into the air, rushing at Constantine.

A series of loud explosions filled the air. The energy was terrifying, and Constantine was still being completely dominated.

"Lord, I'll help him."

Melina opened her wings and charged into the battle, gripping her spear.

"Another fool coming to die!"

The Wolf King sneered, driving back Constantine with one strike, then turned his blade toward Melina.

A loud clash of metal. Melina spat blood and flew backward quickly.

Just one hit, and she was already hurt.

"This strong?" George was surprised. His face turned serious. "We should retreat. This guy is too strong."

"No, Lord, I can handle it!"

Constantine gritted his teeth, refusing to back down. He swung the black bone again and charged at the Wolf King.

"You're asking for death. If it weren't for your demon race count status, I would have killed you already."

The Wolf King sneered, his blade surrounded by black Strength, giving off a strong, evil aura.

"Strange, this doesn't feel like his Strength."

Elise was busy killing nearby Dark Wolfguard, but she was watching the fight closely.

The Wolf King's Strength was strange and evil — not something he should have control over.

"Heart of Slaughter!"

"Steelfeather Wings!"

"Dark Realm!"

Constantine shouted, using three powerful skills and charging at the Wolf King with all his might.

"Not bad."

The Wolf King raised an eyebrow, no longer as careless as before.

"Skyshatter Slash!"

He roared, and his blade sliced through the air, slamming down hard on Constantine.

Boom!

A massive explosion. The ground shook. The energy was terrifying, and the nearby Dark Wolfguard were all blown away.

Both Constantine and the Wolf King were pushed back, but the Wolf King clearly had the stronger power.

"Not bad."

The Wolf King's red eyes glowed, and he said coldly:

"If you kill this human and swear loyalty to me, I'll let you live."
