Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 86: Assassins from Dawn Guild Killing the Spider Queen

"Really?" Lily was excited, her face full of joy.

The amount of experience she got in less than two days was more than all the experience she had in over a month.

If she could level up to 40, her class would advance again, and her strength would definitely get much better. She'd have a better chance of getting into the Obsidian Academy...

Lily imagined herself and George going to the Obsidian Academy together. A smile appeared on her face without her realizing it.

"Daydreaming again? Let's go."

George waved his hand in front of her face.

"Oh." Lily finally woke up, her face turning red. She quickly followed after him.

Around them, more Shadow Spiders kept coming. Elise went first and killed them easily.

And Lily, now that she had advanced, had gotten much stronger. Her magic skills could now threaten these Shadow Spiders, but she was still far behind Elise and the others.

Soon, George found the cave the Shadow Spider boss had told him about.

A thick bush blocked the entrance. If you didn't look closely, you couldn't even see it.

"Lord, I'll go first," Constantine said, lifting his War Hammer and rushing toward the cave.

"Wait!" George quickly stopped him. He looked at the thick bush, picked up a piece of broken stone, and threw it in.

Wood chips flew. A huge black net suddenly popped up from the ground.

"Damn, the Spider Queen even set traps," Constantine said, startled. He took a step back and didn't dare to move forward.

George shook his head. "This isn't a spider web. It's a human trap."

Then he looked at the bush and said coldly, "You guys, are you still hiding?"

There was no movement in the bush.

Constantine scratched his head and said, "Lord, did you get the wrong place?"

Elise also looked confused. She didn't sense any other human around except for the master and Lily.

George wasn't sure, but there was a trap here. There had to be someone.

"Elise, burn the bushes," he ordered.

"Okay." Elise agreed and raised her staff, about to gather fire. Suddenly, the bushes moved, and a dark figure rushed out.

"Surely there are people here!"

Constantine was angry. The enemy had hidden right under his nose and almost put the lord in danger. That was his failure.

His War Hammer swung and hit the figure.

But the person was fast and dodged easily. Before he could relax, a huge black bone came flying at him.

"Shit!"

He yelled, but it was too late. A barrier of light surrounded his body.

Boom!

The bone hit the shield, and it shattered instantly. The man was sent flying back, rolling ten meters away.

George finally saw the man. He was wearing a tight black leather suit. He looked ugly, with sharp ears and a monkey face. In his hands were two poisoned daggers.

He was an assassin class—one who specialized in stealth and killing.

This guy's level had to be pretty high, or else his stealth wouldn't have hidden from Elise's detection.

"Hey, guys, don't get the wrong idea. I don't mean any harm," the man said, getting up from the ground, his chest heaving. He raised his hands and said, "You guys also hunting the Spider Queen, right? I've been watching her for a long time. Let me take care of her, okay?"

Drew smiled awkwardly, speaking with a fake smile.

Dawn Guild?

George had heard of this guild before. It was pretty well-known. It was an SR-tier guild from the Sovereign City. Most of its members were assassin players, and they weren't exactly clean.

There were probably more than just Drew here.

George gave Elise a quick look and said, "This Spider Queen probably can't be yours. But I can give you some compensation. How about S-tier monster materials?"

He didn't attack right away.

A strong enemy was not the worst. The real danger was someone hiding in the dark. George didn't want to get involved with Dawn Guild.

"S-tier materials?" Drew narrowed his eyes and said in a bad tone, "You're joking, right?"

George continued, "Ten S-tier materials."

"Oh?" Drew's eyes lit up. He was surprised, then his mouth curved slightly. "Looks like you've got some good stuff, kid. But ten S-tier materials is a little low, don't you think? I've been watching this Spider Queen for over two weeks. I've used a lot of rare items."

He paused, then said, "How about this—fifty S-tier materials. The Spider Queen is yours."

George could probably give fifty S-tier materials, but he felt this guy was greedy. He probably wanted to rob them.

No, it wasn't just him.

George felt a chill in his heart. He quickly pulled Lily behind him and said coldly, "Open your domain!"

Advanced assassins had hiding skills. Without special detection, they were hard to find. But in a domain, everything could be controlled.

Elise was the first to react. She quickly cast her elemental domain. Magic power surged. A dozen figures appeared around them.

Two of them were only a few meters away from George and Lily.

"Kill!"

Seeing their shapes exposed, the attackers moved fast. They turned into a blur, aiming straight for George.

They clearly knew Constantine and the others were under George's control. And this human didn't look strong.

"Destruction Impact!"

Lily cried out, sweeping her staff. A wave of invisible power hit them.

The attackers froze for a moment, then were pushed back.

At the same time, Elise and Constantine attacked.

Boom!

Magic exploded. The ground trembled. Two of them were killed instantly.

"Wow, that's scary!"

The remaining attackers were shocked. They stared at Constantine and the others, and didn't dare to move forward.

Melina also opened her domain, standing close to George to protect him from any more assassins.

"Quickly finish them. Don't let anyone escape," George said coldly. Dawn Guild was tough. He didn't want to expose himself.

"Leave it to me, sir!" Constantine roared, spreading his demon wings and rushing toward the others.

"Wait, that's an SSS-tier demon!" Drew finally noticed Constantine's stats. His face turned pale. He quickly said, "Run!"

"It's too late now!" Constantine sneered. He flew low, cutting through the air with his sharp wings. He sliced two assassins in half, blood flying everywhere.

He rushed toward Drew quickly.

"Damn, what bad luck!" He cursed, glaring at George and coldly said, "Dude, messing with Dawn Guild, you won't live in peace anymore!"

He pulled out a magic scroll and smashed it. A wave of space energy spread out.

"Shit, don't let him escape!" George quickly warned.

"Die!" Constantine roared. His War Hammer flew from his hand and smashed down hard on Drew.

Boom!

The War Hammer hit. Wood chips flew. A deep pit appeared in the ground, but Drew had vanished in an instant.

It was a space teleport scroll.

"Damn, he got away!" Constantine cursed, grabbed his War Hammer, and started smashing the bushes around.

Other than a dozen corpses, there were no more hidden assassins.

"George, this Dawn Guild won't let us go easily," Lily said, worried. Dawn Guild never forgot a grudge. They'd definitely come after them.

"Relax, it's just an SR-tier guild," George said, not caring. In the eyes of common people, SR-tier guilds were strong. They even had someone over level 50.

But with his growth, destroying an SR-tier guild was easy.

It was best if Dawn Guild stayed out of it. If they didn't, he wouldn't mind making them disappear.

George searched the bodies of Drew and the others. He got a lot of materials and two diamond-tier items.

But he didn't care about them. He could sell them for a good price.

"Let's go. Finish the Spider Queen," George said.

Elise burned the bushes. A dark, deep cave was revealed.

"Lord, I'll go in first," Constantine said excitedly, lifting his War Hammer and rushing into the cave.

George didn't worry. According to what the Shadow Spider boss and Drew had said, the Spider Queen was injured. Otherwise, she wouldn't be hiding in a cave.

Even if she wasn't injured, Constantine could handle her easily.

"Roar..."

Suddenly, a painful scream came from deep inside the cave. Then a soft, feminine voice said, "Lord demon, I have no grudge against you. Why are you attacking me?"

"The Lord wants you dead. You're going to die!" Constantine roared. Then another explosion followed. The whole cave shook.

"Lord? Who is this Lord?" The Spider Queen was almost broken. She had always been careful and avoided angering any strong people. She didn't know why a SSS-tier demon suddenly targeted her.

"You idiot! You don't even deserve to speak the Lord's name," Constantine didn't want to waste words. A strong wind blew from deep in the cave. The sound of explosions echoed. The woman's scream suddenly stopped.

[Killed Spider Queen Nox, Experience +120,000]

[Dropped: Rigid Spider Silk ×3, Poison Gland ×1, Spider Eye ×8, Poison Fang ×4...]

[Dropped: Purification Necklace (Diamond Rank), Poison Dagger (Diamond Rank)]

A message appeared. George and the others had just entered the cave when they saw Constantine smash a huge spider with one hammer.

"Is this the Spider Queen?" George looked at the monster in front of him. It had a spider body but a human face, with four pairs of eyes. It looked weird and terrifying.

Lily also shivered.

"Lord, I think this one is prettier than Elise and the others," Constantine scratched his head and said seriously.
