Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 97: The Captured God Twin-Tailed Shardback Scorpion

The Ethereal Haven. This was the most luxurious hotel in Aurion City. It was said to be owned by the Kent family.

George casually picked a quiet private room.

"George, I owe you a big thank you for saving me last time in the Abyss Realm," Liam poured George a glass of wine and said with gratitude: "I can't repay you for saving my life. I raise a glass to you."

"It was nothing, and I also need to thank you for the Abyss pass this time," George smiled and didn't think much of it. He raised the glass and drank it in one go.

Liam laughed and did the same. He respected people who were straightforward and bold.

"George, how did your level go up so fast? Are you really a graduate this year?" He thought back to the level check and still couldn't believe it.

"Just some lucky breaks. Nothing special," George didn't explain much. With Constantine and the others as strong fighters, he felt like he was cheating. If it wasn't for the tasks with Eliex and that legendary gear, he might have already broken past level 50.

Liam knew it was George's secret. He was curious, but didn't push further.

"By the way, George," he lowered his voice and looked mysterious. "I got some inside info. There's a god-level warrior locked up in the Underworld. And it's the final goal of this exam."

"What?" George couldn't help but gasp, surprised. "That's impossible. Gods are all over 100 levels. Can Draconis even hold a god?"

He had learned from Eliex that gods were at least level 100, and their stage had gone past SSS tier.

The strongest War God in Draconis was only around 80 levels. They couldn't even match a god.

"George, keep it down. It's a secret," Liam made a quiet gesture and continued: "A full-powered god is obviously strong. But this one is injured. And it's not us adventurers who captured it. It's locked up in the Underworld by the demon race."

"By the demon race? Are there demon race warriors in the Underworld that can rival gods?" George asked in surprise.

The final boss of the Underworld was the black dragon Asos, but he definitely wasn't a god. Could there be another hidden boss?

Liam shook his head. "The top three bosses guarding the Underworld are a 40-level Infernal Lord giant, a 45-level Dark Dryad, and a 50-level Night Elf. It's said there was also a Flame-Winged Demon, but it was already killed. As for the black dragon's real power inside the Underworld, you can only find out after killing the three bosses. No one can check from the outside. But I guess it's also a 50-level boss, with a stage of at least SS."

George nodded. That was about what he had guessed.

And the Flame-Winged Demon was the one he had killed, at level 35 with an SR stage.

The other three bosses guarded the other three gates of the Underworld. Only after killing all of them would the Underworld open.

"Liam, do you know what level the captured god is?" George asked curiously.

Originally, he had wanted to capture the black dragon. But now, this god was more interesting.

Liam shook his head in helplessness. "No idea. We can't check what's inside the Underworld. But even if it's hurt, a god is still not something to be taken lightly."

He paused, then continued, "George, this is all secret. Don't tell anyone. I can feel that if someone can finish the final exam, it's definitely you."

"Relax, I won't say anything," George nodded. He also knew how secret this was.

He had to break through to level 50 as soon as possible.

He thought to himself. The Keeper class was already at level 49. Just one more tier up, and he could get another taming slot.

But he didn't know if the captured god was over level 60. If not, he wouldn't be able to tame it.

With less than two days until the College Entrance Exam, he could at most reach level 50.

Or, he could take over the Underworld realm and wait until he was higher level to capture the god.

George thought it over.

Liam shared a few more details about the realms, but nothing was really a secret. George had been into the Underworld many times before, and he already knew most of it.

"Considering how dangerous this realm is, do you think you can pass?" George asked. He liked Liam and wanted to help him out a bit.

Liam's eyes lit up, but he shook his head right away. "No way. Everyone gets randomly teleported into different areas. The realm is huge, and we might not even meet up. Besides, I just need 10 points to get into the Obsidian Academy."

The exam had lowered its requirements a lot. Killing a boss of D tier or higher was enough to pass.

And killing ten D-tier bosses or one C-tier boss would give you 10 points.

That was easy for Liam.

George nodded and didn't say much more.

"George, I have some things to do. When we get to the Sovereign City, we won't leave until we're drunk," Liam said, already a little drunk by noon, and stood up reluctantly.

"Alright, this time I'll treat you. Don't argue with me," George said. He was eager to level up and didn't try to stop him.

"Thanks," Liam didn't push further, wobbled a bit, and left the restaurant. Two soldiers in casual clothes appeared and escorted him away.

George called a car and went back to his villa.

He pulled out the Underworld realm pass and checked it curiously.

[Pass will open at 9 AM the day after tomorrow. Cannot enter now]

Sure enough, he couldn't get in right now. But he didn't need the pass to enter anyway.

George put the pass away and hesitated for a moment. Should he go in now?

The legendary gear seal task was already completed. He just needed to turn in ten SS-tier materials to unlock it.

"Never mind, I'll wait until the realm opens."

After thinking about it, he decided to give up.

With the College Entrance Exam coming up, the Underworld was definitely under heavy watch. If he went in and got caught, he wouldn't be able to explain it.

Plus, only he had taken the quest for that legendary gear, so there was no need to worry about things going wrong.

"Back to leveling up," George checked his experience. In just one night, he had gained over ten million points.

It was clear that Constantine and the others hadn't been idle. At this rate, the tamer could reach level 50 in just one day.

"There's no need to waste the Abyss Realm pass with Constantine as the lord."

He thought for a moment and then summoned Constantine.

A surge of spatial energy, and a terrifying, huge demon appeared. Twelve wings spread wide, blocking out the sky.

The guy was still in the middle of a battle. He suddenly appeared and looked a bit confused.

"Lord," Constantine saw George and quickly folded his wings, landing from the air and bowing respectfully.

George nodded and said, "Is there anything going on in the Abyss?"

"No, we're hunting monsters right now," Constantine said excitedly.

"Take me to see," George said, curious. What kind of monster could make this guy so excited?

Constantine nodded and took him directly to the Abyss Realm with a teleport.

Winds howled, and sand blew around. George appeared in a desert.

Not far away, Elise and the others were in trouble, surrounded by huge monsters.

George checked the monster's stats.

60-level Twin-Tailed Shardback Scorpion. High magic resistance. And their tails had poison.

George understood why Constantine was so excited. This Shardback Scorpion was a nightmare for mages. Eliex would have a hard time killing them.

And the poison in the tail was deadly. Melina wouldn't last long either. Only Constantine, with his thick skin, could stand the poison and kill them easily.

"Lord, stay back. I'll take care of these Shardback Scorpions," Constantine said excitedly, swinging his black bone and war hammer toward two of the scorpions.

George was happy to sit back, floating in the air, watching the fight. Elise stayed quietly by his side.

[Killed Twin-Tailed Shardback Scorpion, Experience +6000]

[Dropped: Crystal Stone x6, Shardback Scorpion Tail x1, Venom x3...]

Messages kept popping up as the scorpions were killed, dropping a lot of materials.

Crystal stones had high magic resistance. They could be used to make gear. The scorpion tail and venom were also valuable alchemy materials.

George put everything into his backpack.

"It looks like I'll reach level 50 before tonight."

George watched the experience grow quickly and felt excited.

But the higher the level, the slower the growth. He had two classes, and Elise and the others needed to level up too. The amount of experience needed was huge.

"After this College Entrance Exam is over, I need to fuse the two classes as soon as possible and try to get a new class," George said to himself.

He had already learned from Eliex what was needed to fuse the two classes.

A Fusion Elixir, an SSS-tier item. It could combine two different class panels without side effects. And Eliex could make it.

The materials for the Fusion Elixir were rare. He was missing the S-tier Soulbind Blossom, the SS-tier Essence-Anchor Herb, the SSR-tier Jade Elixir, and the SSS-tier Crafted Relic.

He had heard of the Soulbind Blossom and Essence-Anchor Herb, but the Jade Elixir and Crafted Relic were completely unknown to him.

He would have to find them after the College Entrance Exam.

...

Night fell. George finally got enough experience to level up. He chose to level up right away.

[Level Up, Keeper reached 50]

[You have reached the Fifth Rank limit. You can continue to level up after completing the class advancement.]

[Your Taming Slots +1]

[Detected a suitable Taming Target: 60-level Triple-Tailed Shardback Scorpion Boss, Stage SSS Tier, High Cultivation Potential]

[Teleport?]

There was a pet suitable for taming here.

A 60-level Triple-Tailed Shardback Scorpion. Its stage was also SSS Tier. Its initial stage was even higher than the Golden Flame Dragon.

"Better not rush. If the god in the realm can't be tamed, I'll take this Triple-Tailed Shardback Scorpion instead," George thought for a moment and didn't choose to teleport.
