Jin started healing Brittany, then rushed over to Angela and Addison, healing them both. He couldn't believe that the Sons of Adam would do this to them. But then he remembered their human experiments and all of their attacks and knew that there was no limit to what they would do.
"I'll make them all pay!" Jin growled. "I'll kill every last one of them." He picked them up with mana and walked to the exit. "Roby, let's go. As for the rest of you, don't worry, help is on the way."
Jin left the underground area by going back to where he had entered from. There were people around the hole, wondering what was going on, and they were startled when five people shot out of the ground.
Jin's home was being restored, his apartment was blown up, he didn't want to go to the Aegis Corps or Police in case there were agents there, and he knew that Angela wasn't on good terms with her family, so he flew to Addison's house instead.
The three girls were unconscious; the pain and mental stress they went through were too much for them, and they needed rest. When Jin arrived at Addison's house, her father opened the door.
"Jin? Hey, how are you? What can I—" He paused, seeing Addison floating around Jin's body.
"Got a room you can spare?"
Don dragged everyone into the house, activating his home's lockdown mode, then took Jin to a guest room where there was enough space to put everyone.
Jin laid the girls down on a bed and two couches, while Jin took a minute to calm himself. Roby tried to leave, but Jin knocked him out since he needed to rest as well.
"J-Jin. Tell me, that's Addison, right? That's my baby girl?" Don asked, crying hysterically.
"Yeah," Jin responded with a tired voice.
"My baby girl! She's back! She's alive! She's okay! Thank you! Thank you so much!"
Jin smiled, then felt as if he was about to pass out.
'My body, it's reaching critical. I need to heal myself.'
"Mister Don, I need to rest. I'll be out for a bit, okay?"
"Take it easy, okay? Rest for as long as you like." Don already liked Jin, but now, he would forever respect and welcome him into their family.
"Thanks."
'Computer, wake me up when you finish decrypting the device.'
[Understood.]
Jin closed his eyes, then entered a meditative state. While his body rested, he used his soul to heal the damage that he inflicted on himself.
His entire mana network was busted and needed to be repaired asap; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to use mana anymore, or, in a severe case, he would die.
Though his soul was repairing the damage, Jin's actual mind was resting. He was tired, and being angry didn't help with that. While trying to save the others, he thought back to one of the friends he had made in one of his past lives.
He had told Jin that being overpowered was the best and being weak to grow strong wasn't cool at all. At the time, Jin only laughed it off. His entire being in each life was to become the stronger version of himself, so he could add that strength to his main body.
But now, in this new world, Jin had the opportunity to become powerful, more powerful than anyone in the world, but he chose not to since he hated living the way he used to.
He wished he had taken his friend's advice. The only reason Jin was able to compete with powerful people in this world who hadn't mastered their abilities yet was that dark matter and dark energy are the strongest substances in existence, for mortals at least.
But after being pushed to his absolute limit, Jin had to re-evaluate himself.
Hours passed as his computer was close to decrypting the phone, and Jin finally healed his body. He knew of a way to make his growth extremely fast. His other friend had taught him this method in one of his lives.
According to him, there were 22 areas in the body where mana could be contained and refined. If those 22 spots were opened, Jin would be able to progress so fast in strength that he could be at the level of Mrs Horton within a few months.
If asked why he didn't use this method before, the answer was simple: he didn't want to. Getting strong was his last priority until now.
So, Jin put his friend's teachings into action, opening all 22 mana centers in his body and cultivating them until they stabilized. Once they did, his computer woke him up.
[The decryption has been completed.]
"Great." Jin downloaded the contents of the phone and put it in the air to see as a hologram.
From the looks of things, there wasn't a lot of substance in the phone to use. No text messages, no emails, and no downloads. The only thing present were call logs to and from unknown numbers.
"Pull up the calls and see what you can find on them."
[Extracting....Playing calls.]
Jin listened to the calls from the phone, trying to see what he could find to use, but most of them were just confirming missions and getting information.
However, there was one thing that Jin did manage to uncover, and it left him speechless.
"Jin Telegard is onto us. We need to get him off our tail. What should we do?" The caller asked
"Hmm. Send him to the space station. We can kill him there. No matter how strong he is, he can't handle hundreds of our members at once." A voice that was clearly the speaker said from the other end.
"Yes, I'll see to it. But may I ask how we will lure him out?" The caller asked once more.
"Go to the police station. Detective Karen has already gotten on Jin's side and has his trust. She will lure him to the spot."
"Understood."
