Jin was actually in the same tier of power as he was before, a 5th circle, but he had TONS more mana in his body because of his friend's mana method that he was using. To someone else, it would seem as if Jin were a lot stronger than his realm of power, which he actually was.

The beauty of this mana method was that he could use the same amount of effort and mana for more powerful spells because of how much was being contained in his body.

This allowed him to peek inside Karen's memories without killing her, but in all honesty, he didn't care if he broke her mind or not. She was a member of his enemies, and Jin always killed his enemies.

Looking into Karen's mind, he noticed that she wasn't a high-ranking member at all, but since she was the lead detective in the precinct, she was given information that she normally wouldn't have had access to.

These included the grand plan of the Sons of Adam, as well as who their leader was.

As for their grand plan, it was simple. Angela predicted this, in fact. There was a satellite in space that, when activated, would forcefully strip the powers of every woman in the city, then move on to doing the same thing to the country.

Only the followers of the Sons of Adam would be spared from such an event.

Jin knew that he needed to stop that as soon as he was able to. He even thought that the satellite would be a good way to restore the powers that were taken away from women as well.

But that wasn't the most shocking piece of information she had.

Jin learned that she was in contact with the speaker regularly. He would appear at her job, when she was around the city, and even in her house.

While most of these were when no one was around, and the speaker would have on a mask, there was one time when Jin saw the speaker without a mask, and that was when the function where Carlnitus Carlnitos was going over his endoskeleton.

And as for who the person behind the mask was? Well, it was none other than Carlnitus Carlnitos himself.

"Motherfucker! Of course, it was him! I should have known! His name starts with fucking Carl!" Jin tossed Karen, who was now brain-dead, to the side. When he was inside her head, he learned exactly who in the police station was a part of the cult.

"Leaving already, Jin?" One woman asked

"Yeah. I'll be back soon, though."

"Sweet. I'll beat you in Connect Four next time!"

"Haha! I bet."

Jin and the woman extended arms to shake hands, but at the last moment, he cut off her head. On each of his fingers, blue energy formed, then shot out toward everyone in the station who was a member of the Sons of Adam.

He didn't spare any of them.

"What is the meaning of this?!" All of the officers ran to confront Jin, forming a circle around him while brandishing their weapons.

"You'll be thanking me later. But to put a long story short, these guys were double agents for the Sons of Adam. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to stop a—"

BOOOOOOOM

A golden pillar of light beamed down from the sky, landing on one of the women. Instantly, her powers were stripped from her being, and then she fell on the ground, unconscious.

"What the fuck?!"

Then another golden beam engulfed a woman, doing the same thing to her.

"Shit! It's happening now!" Jin took off.

When he was flying outside, he saw a beautiful yet horrific sight. Hundreds of thousands of golden beams were going through the city, attacking women and stripping them of their powers.

They couldn't do anything to stop it either. The beams would follow them if they were a speedster, go into shadows if the person was a shadow user, or blast through their powers if a woman tried to attack the beam with elemental powers.

No woman was safe, and Jin needed to stop the device now. However, there was one thing that he had to do before going to space. If he failed, then the Sons of Adam would be the least of his worries in the future.

Jin flew directly toward Mrs Horton's office, where she thankfully wasn't hit by a beam yet. But that relief quickly vanished as he saw a beam head in her direction, or at least the direction of her office.

"FUCK!" He sped up, and once he was close enough, he teleported inside her office, grabbed her and only her since she was alone, then teleported out of the place right before the golden beam blasted through her roof.

"Jin?! What are you...How are you...What's going on?!"

"I'll explain later. But for now, we need to—DODGE!" He kicked Mrs Horton out of the way before the beam could hit her.

Unfortunately, his arm was caught in the attack; however, nothing happened to him.

"We need to keep moving!" Jin grabbed her arm and started flying very fast. Since Mrs Horton's powers were damn near OP, she was able to keep up.

"Jin, explain everything, now."

And so, Jin did. All the information he learned from the moment he quit, up until now.

"What the fuck?!"

Jin agreed with her outburst. "That's what I said!"

"Then this beam can take a woman's powers? This is too dangerous!"

"I know! This is why I needed to find you." Jin created a skin barrier of mana around Mrs Horton. "Look, I don't know if this is going to work, but if it does, then fuck yeah!"

"What? If what doesn't work?" She was getting anxious.

"I placed a barrier around you. If everything goes well, the beam shouldn't affect you."

"Shouldn't?!"

"Yeah. Shouldn't. Look alive, Mrs Horton! You're about to get a face full of golden energy!"

"You brat! You'd better hope this works!"

"I know."

Mrs Horton stopped flying, turned around, then was blasted by the golden beam of energy.
