Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 135: More about its origin

Jin didn't bother going back to the Aegis Corps to inform them of what went on. He didn't even visit Angela, Brittany, or Addison, only sending them a text, letting them know that he was back at home.

Jin walked inside his house, greeting Anyssa.

"Auntie, I'll be—Oh, hey Auntie Oculia."

"Hey Jin! How's it going?" She tossed him some soda.

"It's going okay. The Aegis Corps just did some stupid shit not too long ago, and now I have to go into overdrive mode to make sure we don't get invaded by a group of flesh-eating aliens who can steal powers. Anyway, I'll be in my lab. See ya." Jin entered the basement.

"That kid, always working." Oculia sighed.

"I like that side of him. He's more responsible than we were at his age." Anyssa chuckled.

"Heh, you got that right."

In his lab, Jin walked to the furthest wall from the stairs. He kept this wall cleared with nothing being put on it or in its way. Placing his hand on the wall, a magic circle appeared, then a portal opened.

Once Jin stepped inside, it was as if he were in a whole new world. He had created his own pocket dimension to do and store things he didn't want others to see.

"Inside was another lab that he had, but this one was way more advanced than the one in the basement. It contained the knowledge of all his past lives, including the technology of the people he lived amongst, if they were advanced.

Though he had lived in many worlds with advanced technology, the majority of the worlds he was reincarnated into weren't technologically advanced. Most times, he would just travel to another planet after getting powerful enough to do so. That's how he encountered the majority of the technologically advanced worlds he's been to, not including his reincarnation.

"Tessa." He called out to her.

"Oh! Jin! What's happening, man? How have you been? It's been a while."

Jin's friend, Zion, gave him the matrix of his personal creation, an AI named Tessa. Unfortunately, Jin wasn't able to reverse engineer her, so his own AI wasn't as smart and lacked a personality.

"How long has it been since I last saw Zion?" He asked

"Oof, wow, it's been a long time. Like, a very long time. At least, I wanna say, 20 million years at the very minimum."

'That long, huh?' Jin smiled wryly.

"Can I speak with him right now? I need to ask him some questions."

"Unfortunately, you can't. Zion is currently in the Divine Realm right now and I'm not able to speak with him."

"But aren't you linked to his mind?" Jin remembered Zion telling him about that.

"I am, but gods are weird, you know? They can do a lot of shit that I'm not able to do. I mean, I have the body of divine sentinals, and I'm not allowed in the Divine Realm."

Jin nodded. "Can you pull up all of the information you have about the Láspi?"

Tessa's eyes narrowed. "Why?"

Jin showed her footage of everything that went down recently.

"Oh dear. Not these bastards again."

"I know. Thankfully, I only ran into a scout. He's a little sample of it. I destroyed the rest."

Tessa took the sample and started studying it. "You beat it?" She asked

"It wasn't as powerful as the ones we encountered on planet Noxos, but this one evolved faster. I'm pretty sure it's a different strand but with the same memories of the one that attacked my previous planet."

"Hmm. Hold on, it seems your failed copy of me managed to get some more information." Tessa took the information that Jin's computer was currently going over.

"Hey! It's not a failed copy!"

"Then what is it?" She asked

"It's...my beloved computer."

"Aww. So sweet...Anyway, fake me was able to learn some good stuff. I see that you plugged in the information from your old life, huh? Smart. Okay, so the Láspi itself is different. It's not the same as the one from your planet, but its core is the same. Or I guess you can say that it merged with the core of this Láspi hive mind strand."

Jin expected as much. This was one of the scenarios he assumed would happen.

"Any reason why this Láspi isn't immune to the effects of anything electrical-based?" Jin asked

"Its planet was destroyed," Tessa answered

"What? Wait! Oh fuck, that makes sense! The central hive mind!" Jin had totally forgotten about the central hive mind.

Each Láspi strand comes from one major Láspi, the main Láspi that births them. The central hive mind retains all information about each of the Láspi strands and is able to send out information to the smaller Láspi to help them evolve and adapt.

But that central Láspi was destroyed by Zion, and because of that, the rest of the Láspi died as well, or at least should have. Some managed to evolve to the point where they didn't need the central Láspi, and the one that's in this solar system happened to be one of those Láspi.

"The central Láspi sent its commands through an electrical wave that only Láspi could understand. This allowed the Láspi to continue to receive commands even in places where there would be electrical interference. But with the central hive mine destroyed, the electrical currents of, well, anything electrical, scramble their mind." I see now.

Tessa nodded. "Exactly. Now, as for why it's evolving faster than normal, that's pretty simple to explain, actually."

Jin shook his head. "Don't bother, I already know why."

"Oh? Care to trade notes?"

"The Láspi don't have to receive information from millions of worlds. It's not being overloaded. While its evolution and adaptation aren't as good as the strands while the central hive was alive, it's faster because it doesn't have to worry about any other world."

"Ding ding ding! We have a winner!"

Jin chuckled softly. "Do you think you can use that strand of the Láspi to come up with a way to stop it?"

"Possibly. But not even I was able to come up with one. While I might not be able to come up with a way to stop it, I can come up with a way to combat it."

Jin smiled. "That's more than enough. I'm also coming up with ways to kill and fight against it, so anything you create will be welcomed."

"Great, I'll see you when I come up with something. Oh, by the way, your free trial to use me has expired, so after this, I'm gone."

Jin sighed. "Yeah. I know. Thanks."
