"How will you be able to do that?" Trinity asked, running through the halls with Jin.

"We have two options, one is dangerous, and the other is time-consuming."

"Run me through them."

"The dangerous option is to basically turn this entire place into an EMP. If we do that, we can locate everyone who is a Láspi. The downside is that it can sap power from this entire base, including the primary backup and secondary backup power generators."

"Oh, yeah, that's not good at all. And the second option?"

"We find them individually."

"But it can literally be anyone!"

"I know! That's why—" Jin paused as an idea crossed his mind.

"Hold on for a second." He clasped his hands, creating a magic circle. He then touched the ground with it, and his mana was sent throughout the entire base.

'The Láspi are immune to mana to some degree, meaning it would still be hard to locate them using magic. However, the people of this world have no idea what mana is, nor can they sense it. But the Láspi can! So, if any of them react to my mana...' Just as Jin said this, he got multiple reactions.

"Gotcha!" Strings of mana connected to each Láspi, allowing Jin to know exactly where each of them was, and the number surprised him.

"Holy shit! 200 of them!"

"WE'VE BEEN FOUND!" The Láspi shouted to one another.

"Oh no, you don't!" Jin sent an electrical charge through each of the strings of mana, shocking all of the Láspi, immobilizing them temporarily. He memorized their locations, had his computer copy that memory into his database, then sent it to the tablet Trinity had in her hands that they were using to navigate the base, as it had master keys on it.

'Mental tech rocks.' Jin smiled

"I've sent you the location of each Láspi on the ship. I will hold them in place, but you have to deal with them. If you call people for help, make sure to use electrical powers or the Láspi will use a person as an outlet to escape."

"Understood." Trinity made an announcement to everyone on the moon base, telling them what was going on.

Everyone was shocked, rightly so, but they moved accordingly. They wouldn't take any chances, seeing how over 200 of them were already compromised.

With quick efficiency, they took care of each of the Láspi, putting them in electrical cages to prevent them from harming anyone.

"Jin! We got all of them. Thankfully, we managed to get them before they could alert their friends in space."

Jin sighed. "No, it's too late. They share the same mind. The Láspi in space already knows about everything. I wouldn't be surprised if the crew of the expeditions you sent those people on are all taken over right now."

"No way!"

"This is why you listen to the people who know what they're talking about. You're not fucking children. God, you all drive me insane! If you all had listened, the Láspi would have been out of the solar system by now, and I could have come up with a way to neutralize the colony hive mind! But nooooo, you idiots want to do your own thing and jeopardize the world!"

"Jin, what can you tell us about this Láspi?"

Jin's eye twitched when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Councilwoman Jerrica!" Trinity stood at attention.

"At ease. So, Jin?"

"Fuck off. I have nothing to tell you. I'll do things on my own." He walked past her.

She grabbed his arm. "Don't walk away from this, child. This is bigger than all of us. You seem to be the most knowledgeable on this topic, so you need to tell us the best way to fight against this creature."

Jin didn't respond, only glaring at his grandmother. He removed his arm from her clutches, then teleported away.

Once more, Jerrica sighed.

"F-Forgive me for asking, but is it okay for him to speak to you that way?" Trinity was surprised Jin was still alive after speaking to a councilwoman with disrespect.

"He's my grandson, and he's angry with me. So, I'll let it be."

'Her grandson?!' Trinity was shocked.

"Wait. He's Jessa's son?"

"That's right." Jerrica nodded

"Ohhh, I get why he's upset with Lacey now. Ha, you all really suck, if you don't mind me speaking my mind."

"If this were any other time, I would have disciplined you, but I'll allow it for today."

"One last thing. Why didn't you take care of him?" Trinity asked

Jerrica thought about answering, and she wanted to, but she didn't. She simply left the base, got on her ship, and then headed back to the planet.

Sitting on her chair, she pulled out a locket that had a picture of Jessa, Jinsen, Jin, and herself on it. A happy time, a happy memory.

"Jin, my dear. I'm sorry for being a horrible grandmother, but I had no choice. The council, no, the whole world would have come for you. After all, you're the only male in the world who was born with powers."

Jerrica took out a vial of energy in her hands. When Jin had passed out after his mother had died, he was sent to the hospital. Tests were run on him to make sure he was healthy, and one doctor noticed that his DNA was weird.

Jerrica, being present, asked the doctor what she meant, and she told her that his DNA has the strand that gives a woman powers.

At first, Jerrica didn't see that as an issue since all men carry that gene. But after she heard that Jin's body naturally activated that gene, she was shocked.

She had just encountered something that was impossible to happen, even after thousands of years. Jerrica didn't want her grandson to become a science experiment, so she had a device developed that could steal a woman's powers, the first ever prototype of the DNA Splicer, and remove that part of his DNA.

Then, she killed the doctor who ran the tests on Jin and destroyed all the data that was taken from his body.

Finally, she cut ties with him to be sure that he wouldn't be looked at, but she still kept an eye on him from afar. He was her last living relative, so she wouldn't allow Jin to suffer the same fate as her daughter.
