Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 144: Do interrogation tactics work against aliens?

After Jin had left the Aegis Corps base on the moon, an operative gave Trinity information about the Láspi, telling her that all of them were currently confined in special prisons that would be able to hold them.

She thanked the operative, then went to where the Láspi were imprisoned.

Trinity couldn't believe that 200 of her people had been killed under her watch. She couldn't see the changes in their actions, personality, and even biometric scans picked up on their DNA, as if they were regular humans.

It was honestly very scary to think about the dangers that would happen if this creature managed to set foot on the planet.

Thankfully, Jin was aware of those dangers and took plenty of steps to prevent that from happening and more.

"Anything happen while I was gone?" Trinity asked a woman as she entered the room where the Láspi were being imprisoned.

"Nothing, Director. All they have been doing is smiling." The women who were stationed here felt very uncomfortable. They were specifically chosen for this task since they had electrical or lightning powers, but being around the Láspi made them scared of it breaking free. They didn't show this side, though, staying professional.

Trinity nodded, taking a seat in front of one of the cells. It was a large cage with super-reinforced glass. It was created with very small metal fragments that would produce an electrical charge when touched from the inside, making it impossible for the Láspi to break out.

Not only that, but the air inside the cage was electrified, and there was a metal frame that was keeping the glass cage together, which was also electrified. And finally, the guards stationed in this room all had lightning or electrical powers, or had tech powers that could produce electrical currents.

"So, what's your reason for coming to our solar system?" Trinity asked the Láspi. It didn't matter which one she asked since they were all the same.

"To feed. To grow. To evolve." The Láspi had long since evolved to speak like normal humans, aiding in their secrecy, even if it was for a short time.

"And why come to our world? There are trillions of other places in the universe to go to."

The Láspi chuckled, something it learned from eating a lot of humans. "Your species is pretty intelligent, strong, and has a good understanding of how the universe operates, even if that understanding is very, very small. But you are not protected. You are vulnerable, and compared to the rest of the universe, you are weak."

One of the reasons why Trinity's powers didn't work on the Láspi was because of its constant evolution. Each time she encountered it, she could feel her powers work, but suddenly stop working.

Because of this, she kept adjusting the way she used her powers each time she came in contact with it, noting that the Láspi couldn't take over her body because of the thin layer of destruction she placed over herself.

She translated that into a type of energy projection, so now, if she wanted to, she could kill a Láspi, at least in theory. So, she tested it out.

Walking over to one of the Láspi, she opened the cage, then grabbed its neck, bombarding her destruction powers into the creature. At first, the Láspi smirked, knowing that it could simply adapt to her power, but it soon realized that its adaptation wasn't able to keep up with her power, and it ceased to exist.

"Do you seriously think that we are as weak as you proclaim?" She asked, sitting back down in her chair.

The Láspi knew that they could adapt to Trinity's powers, but seeing a part of itself get erased from existence, the Láspi treaded with caution.

"I admit that some of you are powerful. You, director, that Lacey Horton woman, so is more than you think she is, and the other, what do you call it, Transcendant Espers?"

Trinity squinted her eyes. "What are you getting at?"

"Heh, you all don't even compare to the threats out in the universe. You're not even a type 2 civilization; you have no gods protecting you, and you have no mana. How can you stop us when you can't even use the power the universe provides for everyone? Not even your own planet cares enough to share that information with you."

Now Trinity was starting to get confused. She didn't understand what gods or magic had to do with this. As far as she knew, both of those things weren't real. Religion existed in this world, but more so as faith, not actual practice, where they know a god exists.

"Now you're just talking out of your ass." Trinity killed a few more Láspi to make the creature actually make sense. "Do you want me to keep doing this?"

The Láspi gritted their teeth. "You don't believe me? That's fine. But Jin knows everything, about gods, about magic, about the universe. How do you think he knew about us? He fought us before and LOST! We destroyed his planet and killed his people! Hahahahahahaha!"

Again, she had no idea what the Láspi was talking about, but what she did know was that Jin did seem to have a lot more knowledge of this creature than anyone else. This made her believe that there was more Jin wasn't telling them.

"If you need to feed on us, why haven't you invaded the planet already?" Trinity needed to know this one bit as it could help her find a weakness that would aid their efforts in stopping the Láspi.

The Láspi didn't respond but kept smiling at Trinity. It then started to bubble, expand, and then burst into red goo that spattered onto the glass. The red goo then turned clear, and combined with each other.

"What the hell just happened?"

"U-Uh, director, we were monitoring its vitals as best as we could. Now, we don't know what its vitals mean in human terms since they could be completely different, but the state they are in is similar to hibernation or a coma."

Trinity nodded. "Get Director Horton on the line, I need to tell her about everything I've learned."
