"Hold on...What? I'm a mage? You're being weird, babe. I'm an Esper, not a mage." Brittany already knew of Jin's magic and shit, but she didn't think she could be one too.

"It's true. You're a mage and an Esper." He confirmed.

"H-How?"

"Bitch! I just explained how!"

"R-Right! Sorry. But, didn't you say mana was like dark matter or something? I don't even feel anything."

"Do you feel energized?"

"Yes."

"Satisfied?"

She looked down at Jin's naked body. "Absolutely."

"Okay, that's the first way of knowing that you can use mana. Clench your fist, like really hard," Jin demanded of her.

"Um, okay." She did as he instructed her to, and...nothing happened. "Jin, is nothing supposed to happen?"

"You didn't feel that? Try again?"

And so, she did, clenching her fists again, and again, and again.

"Okay, I don't get what I'm supposed to be doing here."

"You're almost there. Do it one more time."

"Jin."

"Come on."

"Fine. But if nothing happens this time, I'm draining you again." She teased

"Oh, don't worry, I'll be able to fight back if you do."

She chuckled, clenching her fist one last time, and mana erupted from it, shocking her so much that she fell onto the floor.

"Ow."

"There it is."

"W-What just happened?" Brittany started clenching her fist again, but the explosion didn't happen.

"Sometimes, when our muscles are tightened, mana follows that muscle flow, and when the fist is clenched, the mana comes to a halt, slamming into your fist, which causes an explosion. It's purely for show and is only used by those who like to show off." He explained.

"That...didn't feel like my esper abilities." Brittany was fascinated by how different mana felt

"Duh. This is magic, not Esper abilities. Your abilities are a part of your DNA, so it's like blinking or moving your arms and legs. Magic is as if you're driving a car."

"I feel so strong. You feel like this every day?"

"Oh yeah. And I'm like, super duper stronger than you because of it."

Brittany pounced on Jin. "Teach me!"

"Ehh. It's a whole process, you know? Takes time."

"I can learn!"

"Well, yeah, but—"

"Please?" She begged him.

"Nnnnghh! Fine! But only when we have downtime. Dealing with the Láspi is our main priority."

"Yess! I can't wait to get one up on Angela and Addison. They're gonna be so jealous when they learn I can use magic!"

"Really? That's why you want to learn?" Jin couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Uhh, yeah. Why else would I want to learn this new power?"

He was going to give her a whole list of why it would be great to learn, but he kept his mouth shut.

"You know, Britt—"

Brittany's phone went off, interrupting Jin.

"Oh, hold on, baby. It's work." She picked up the phone, then grabbed Jin and pressed him against her boobs as she lay back down in bed.

"Brittany here."

"Operative Brittany, we require your assistance on a mission that involves the Láspi."

"The Láspi?" She asked out loud so Jin could know what the conversation was about. But then she realized that she could put the phone on speaker, so she did.

"That's right. While we are assuming that the team that went to mine the ore has been lost, we hope that there is at least one survivor. We would like you to join this mission."

Brittany squinted her eyes. "Why? I'm sure Jin told the Corps to stay away from this matter."

"What former employee Jin had to say about this matter does not have any relevance anymore. As far as the Council cares, Jin is a threat to our Corps."

"What? The council? What do they have to do with this?" Brittany knew that the council had the say to go ahead with certain missions, but this matter was being handled by Mrs Horton personally, so she didn't expect them to interfere.

"They have decided to personally involve themself in this matter because of the extreme risks that come with the Láspi."

Brittany didn't respond right away, not liking how the situation was going. "So, why do you want me specifically?"

"You have encountered this creature before and know how it operates. We are hoping that if the rescue team does encounter it, you will be able to help deal with it."

Again, Brittany stayed quiet for a bit, not realizing that she was pressing Jin more and more onto her boobs.

"Okay, I'll join. But I need to be paid extra since not only is this a space mission, but we're also dealing with an alien life form."

"That's acceptable."

"One more thing. Jin comes along."

"What?" Jin perked up.

"What?" The person on the call asked, confused as well.

Jin muted the phone. "Why do you want me there? Fuck that."

"Jin, you are the only one here who knows how to deal with this threat. Did you see what the Aegis Corps did after you warned them? They still went after the creature. Corpos are idiots, man."

Jin agreed with that. The Aegis Corps was extremely stupid, especially for wanting to send a rescue team.

"Absolutely not! Jin Telegard is not a member of our Corps anymore and is not authorized to go on missions such as this!"

Brittany unmuted the call. "Then I won't be going. I'm okay with threats that I can handle, but something like this is out of the question when the man who knows the most about this can't come along."

"You can be punished for this, you know." The woman on the other end said

"Yeah, fuck you." Brittany hung up.

"Wow. You showed her."

"Damn straight I did." Brittany hugged Jin even tighter than she already was. "You're so cute, you know that?!"

"Ugh! I-I can't breathe! Let me go!"

"No!"

"Please!"

"Say that you love me."

"I love you."

"Oh, that easy, huh?" Brittany let go of him.

"Let's get ready." Jin got up and started getting dressed.

"Why?"

"Do you seriously think the Aegis Corps is just gonna sit back and accept that you said no?"

"True. But...um...we should probably shower first. We're still king of stinky from last night."

"Right." Jin took off his clothes.

"Wanna shower together?"

"Hell no! You're gonna use that as an excuse to have sex again!"

"What?! Who do you think I am? Angela? There's no way I would do that!"

"Then why are you carrying me to the bathroom right now?" Jin asked as Brittany was carrying him like a briefcase.

"Less talking, more showering!"
