After showering, Jin got a call from Addison and Angela, and it was about the same thing Brittany had been called for.

When Brittany explained that she was called as well, Addison suggested meeting up with each other.

They all met at a local cafe, ordering something to eat and drink as they awaited being approached by the Aegis Corps.

"I like how confident you three are." Jin smiled, leaning back as he sat next to Addison.

"What do you mean?" Addison asked

"Be real. Do you seriously think the Aegis Corps wants you three on this mission? This suicide mission. They don't need you three." He expressed.

Brittany took his words to heart, contemplating what the Aegis Corps might really want. "Do you think they're trying to get rid of us?"

"No. It's not that extreme. But they're sending you on a mission that is destined to fail. It makes no sense. They could easily send drones to the designated locations instead of people."

"They're trying to make up a reason to bench us!" Surprisingly, it was Angela who figured this out first.

"Yup. That's what I guess they're trying to do." Jin nodded

"You're exactly right." Miss Lockman walked over to their table, holding a coffee in her hands as she approached them.

"Ugh, this bitch." Jin muttered under his breath.

"So, are you here to tell us to sit back or join the rescue team so we can get punished for failing it?" Brittany asked

Miss Lockman started at the four of them before sighing. "Honestly, this rescue team is to see if there are any survivors, no strings attached. Mrs Horton sent me because I'm familiar with you all."

"Is that so?" Jin asked

"Yes. It is so." She responded

"Heh." He shook his head.

"Again. We wont go if Jin doesn't go." Angela growled

"Honestly, what is up with you three clinging to him? Why is he the factor that makes you want to join or not?" Miss Lockman didn't understand what was going on in the minds of Brittany, Angela, and Addison.

"Dumbass." Angela blurted out, not caring that Miss Lockman was her superior.

"He's the most knowledgeable." Addison pointed out

"And isn't a dumbass like some of you." Brittany added

"Okay, I won't deny our poor judgment when we went after the Láspi, but you can't deny that we did good by going after it. We learned that it's weak to electricity."

"You mean Jin told you all that it's weak to electricity?" Angela asked

"Whatever. Jin, you can accompany the team on this mission, Mrs Horton approved."

"As if that means something to me." He rolled his eyes. "If you three go, I'll go. But if you have changed your minds, then let's go bowling again. I want to give it another shot."

"I wanna go!" Angela raised her hand.

"Same." Addison nodded.

"Since you gave me that stimulant, I'm not worried about taking on the Láspi." Brittany smiled.

"Fuck, man. You're supposed to say that you won't go! Dammit! Whatever. Let's get this over with."

Jin was suited up in a space suit as he prepared to board a ship for space. Before this, he gave Addison and Angela his newly created stimulant to prevent them from being harmed by the Láspi.

Even though he was on bad terms with the Aegis Corps, he would have given some to them as well because if they get eaten by the Láspi, then it will get stronger and smarter, which was bad for the planet.

Unfortunately, he didn't have any more stims on him and had to wait until his computer had a large stock of them. Only then would he be able to give it to them. Fortunately, he did have his first version of the stim, so he gave it to the team that was going on the mission.

"Jin, what was that thing you injected into the crew?" Mrs Horton asked

"It's a stimulant I created to combat the Láspi. It should make it so the Láspi can't eat a person."

Her eyes lit up as if she had found gold. "Can you share what you used to create that with us?"

"Sure, but can you help me find my mother?" He asked back

Mrs Horton's expression did a 180, and she looked at him with slightly sad eyes. "Don't do this, Jin."

"I didn't do anything." He stopped engaging in the conversation and walked onto the ship.

"You good, babe?" Angela asked

"Peachy." Jin took a seat and strapped himself in.

"Are you kids ready?" Jerrica asked

"What the hell?" Jin stood up, but was stopped by his seat straps.

"Surprised to see me?" She asked him.

"What do you think?"

"Jin! That's a councilwoman!" Addison didn't want him getting in trouble and being thrown in Jail.

"I know. She's also my grandmother."

All three girls looked at him in shock, then at Jerrica, then back at Jin. They did see the resemblance, but wouldn't have put two and two together.

"Y-Your grandmother?!" Angela asked

"Yeah."

"The one who abandoned you?" Brittany asked

"Yeah."

"Councilwoman Jerrica?" Addison asked

"Yeah."

"WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"That's not something you just spring on us like that, man!" Angela started shaking his arm.

Addison was staring at Jerrica in disbelief. "I can't believe your grandmother is a councilwoman."

"Jin! How come you never told me this!" This was Brittany's first time hearing about this.

"Honestly, Britt, I thought you knew. Auntie Anyssa and Oculia do."

"Huhhh?!"

"Look at you. Your mother would be proud of the man you have become." Jerrica smiled.

"Don't get all sappy with me, bitch. You don't get to be like that anymore. You stopped being my grandmother the day you left me behind."

Jerrica smiled again and turned around. She wasn't upset, nor did she blame him for speaking to her in such a way. All she cared about was her grandson's well-being, and seeing that he was doing great was good enough for her.

"Hey." Jin tossed Jerrica a stim. "Inject yourself with this. I'm not trying to fight you as a Láspi."

Jerrica happily accepted Jin's stim, injecting it into her bloodstream.

"Lift off in 5...4...3...2...1...Goddess Speed, all of you." Their ships took off into space.
