Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 162: Touching ground

With the asterpids in space destroyed, no longer a threat to the planet, the other asteroids that made it past Jin and Jess were the last wave that needed to make the plunge into the planet.

Out of the few thousand that entered the atmosphere, half of them burned up, dying before they even entered the upper sky.

The defense systems shot down another half of the asteroids, killing some, but not every Láspi. The ones that didn't die simply attached themselves to another asteroid, merging with the Láspi on that one.

Only a few hundred were left, and they were determined to touch down.

'Almost!' They shouted, some still dying as they broke through the clouds.

Falling above them was Jin, passed out and healing from the damage he had done to his body.

[Jin! Wake up! They're almost at the ground!] Jess tried many methods to wake Jin up, but none of them worked.

His body was in full recovery mode, and he was going to be out for a bit. He was lucky that he didn't end up killing himself from the amount of mana he used with such a weak body compared to his old one.

[Dammit!] Jess took control of Jin's power kit, using it to start shooting at the Láspi.

'No! We're so close! We won't fail!'

Out of the remaining hundred, five of them stayed behind to slow Jin down. They attacked, using their biology to their advantage while also using the powers they stole from eating people.

Jess, who had been able to analyze their attack patterns, managed to hold them off extremely well, but she wasn't Jin, and this meant that the things she could do were extremely limited.

Still, she was using weapons they both created, so they were extremely powerful.

The power kit hummed as it charged up, the palm of the suit opening, revealing a lens that amplified light beams when fired from the palm.

Jess fired at the five Láspi, two getting taken down instantly, while the other three managed to dodge. She then created an electrifying sword out of nanites, slicing through two of them, and finally, the last one was blasted into nothingness from a chest beam.

[I got this!] Landing on an asteroid, six metallic winds sprouted from Jin's back, and each of them fired missiles toward the remaining asteroids.

'Nooooo!' The Láspi used telekeisenis, stopping the missiles, and threw them back toward Jin.

[Oh fuck!] Jess protected both herself and Jin as a powerful explosion went off, brightening the sky.

All the way down on the ground, the Aegis Corps was watching everything. At first, they didn't even see Jin, not knowing that he was in space trying to stop the threat, but once they did notice him, the Láspi had already entered the atmosphere.

"Gather all troops! I want those asteroids destroyed before they touch the ground! Go, go, go!" Mrs Horton demanded.

Every single branch of the Aegis Corps moved out, securing Olympus, the surface, and the air.

Millions of agents, both men and women, were prepared to take down the incoming threat.

"Asteroids in sight!"

"Fire!"

Millions of projectiles soared through the air, each with the intention of taking the Láspi down. The sheer number of projectiles would overwhelm anyone, but the Láspi stood firm.

Together, they blocked everything with a telekinetic barrier, continuing to push forward.

"A-Team, GO!"

A team of Vanguards and Operatives went to subdue the Láspi, but they were easily taken down and absorbed.

"B-Team!"

A stronger team this time, consisting of Operatives, Pathfinders, and Strikers. They rained down fire on the Láspi, but they too were taken out after some time. The telekenetic barrier protected the Láspi from any electrical attack.

'Land!' The Láspi spotted Olympus.

'There is land below the land as well.'

'We split again! Some will head to the upper land while others will head to the lower land.'

'Yes!'

The asteroids changed course.

"They're splitting up! Ground team, incoming!"

"This is the ground team, we are ready to fire!"

"Fire!"

A large, powerful energy cannon fired into the air, breaking through the telekinetic barrier and destroying the asteroids. This, however, didn't kill all of the Láspi, but it did create a lot of smaller asteroid chunks that descended onto the surface.

The sky team on Olympus continued to attack, destroying some asteroids as well, but eventually, the chunks crashed on the floating rock.

The ground team did the same, destroying the chunks that would cause destruction, but not all of them were taken care of, and asteroid chunks still crashed onto the surface, causing a decent-sized crater.

Out of the 95 remaining Láspi, only five survived: two on Olympus and three on the surface.

"Mrs Horton, we have multiple impacts on the surface and Olympus!"

"Quarantine the areas immediately! We cannot let this creature, if it's alive, spread. It will be the end of our species!"

"Understood! Everyone, evacuate the area, quarantine the impact sites, and await further orders!"

"Yes, Ma'am!"

Even if they wanted to, the Láspi were fully incapable of moving at the moment. The impact nearly killed the survivors, and they were barely hanging on. Coupled with the ground being magnetized thanks to the core of the planet, the Láspi were having a difficult time doing anything.

While this was happening, Jess decided to fly Jin back to his home so he could rest and recover. There was nothing they could do at the moment, so it was best to regroup and go over everything they had learned to make more plans for the future.

When she arrived at the house, Brittany, Addison, and Angela breathed a sigh of relief, but when Jess told them about Jin's condition, they panicked.

"S-Should we take him to a hospital?" Brittany wondered

"That does seem like the smart thing to do." Addison nodded.

"Nah! Jin probably wouldn't want to go to a hospital. I've never seen him go to one when he was hurt. He always just regenerated." Angela stood firm on this.

"But he isn't regenerating right now, is he?" Addison couldn't tell if he was since his body didn't look damaged.

[Most of the damage he suffered is internal, not external. And yes, he is healing right now. A hospital isn't needed. However, for some reason, his body is breaking down, and I can't seem to do anything to stop that.]

Angela started to panic. "B-Breaking down in a good or bad way?"
