Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 168: The meeting

As the assistant representative made his way over to the cages where the Láspi were being kept, he suddenly got an alert from his superiors. Quickly moving to a safe area, he answered the alert.

"Change in plans." The person on the other end spoke. "Madam Eve wants you to sabotage the Láspi confinements but make it look as if the Othrys Aegis Corps isn't well equipped to handle the creature."

"I understand." The man replied softly. He knew what he had to do and moved accordingly to do it.

Quickly and quietly, he moved to the cages and placed a device on both of them. After placing them, he hacked the Aegis Corps system connected to the cages and turned off any alerts that would have gone off since there was a foreign object attached to the cages.

The purpose of the device was to drain the energy of something over a set period of time. It was able to activate manually, so this was perfect for the assistant.

With the device attached, he left the area and headed back to the hotel where he was staying.

Thankfully, he knocked out Polybotea with a sleeping drug before tying her up so she wouldn't understand what was happening.

So, when he arrived in the hotel, he untied her, undressed her, then properly put her to sleep as if nothing had happened.

'Now we just wait.' He activated the device and set it for 24 hours.

"Please."

"No."

"Is there anything we can do to have you comply?"

"No."

"Jin."

"Fuck off. I've already had enough of the bullshit from your goddamn company. All of you piss me off so much!" Jin was currently in a digital meeting with the Council, including Mrs Horton.

They were asking him if he would help out with their predicament, but he had no interest in helping them.

"You promised to help us if we gave you that data stick." Roselyn reminded him with an angered voice.

Jin eyed her, feeling a surge of anger rising through his body. Years of expierence allowed him to put his anger to the side to remain calm.

"No. The deal was that I would help you all with your stupid ass arms race or whatever. But now that all of this shit has been exposed, I have no obligation to help you anymore. Not that I was in the first place."

Everyone raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?"

"It's as I said. I have no need to repeat it since you heard my words. Now, are we done?" Jin had had enough with their bullshit.

"No, we're not done! If you aren't following through with your end of the bargain, then we have no reason to follow through with our own. We will be retrieving the data stick." Brigida announced

"Fine by me. I don't need it anymore." Jin shrugged.

Everyone squinted their eyes slightly, understanding what he had done.

"You accessed the information we told you not to?" Mavena asked

"Yeah. Gonna do something about it?"

"That was a deal breaker." She warned him.

"I honestly don't give a fuck. None of you are important enough for me to listen to, and the one who was already lost my respect, or I guess the two who were. All of you are just a bunch of hormonal idiots who don't know how to do shit properly, and I'm sick and tired of dealing with you all. So, unless you are about to get fucked by a Láspi, which are now destroyed, don't talk to me anymore." He hung up.

"That brat pisses me off!" Roselyn slammed her hands on the round table.

"Should we bring him in?" Brigida asked. "He did violate our one condition."

"That isn't the right thing to do at the moment. Our priorities should go to figuring out what to do with the threat that's lingering over us. Ouranous and Tartarus will absolutely declare war over something like this." Jerrica steered the conversation away from Jin.

"She's right," Mavena spoke up. "Why worry about Jin when we have something more important to worry about at the moment?"

"That's why we NEED to speak to Jin. He can help us in this situation. He has the most knowledge about the Láspi and has that stimulant that can help us handle the Láspi better than we already are." Atalana didn't like the fact that they had to rely on him so much.

"I'm bringing him in," Roselyn said, standing up.

"Roselyn, sit down," Jerrica demanded

"Why? So you can stop me from arresting your grandson? He doesn't even care about you, Jerrica. He has the information that we need, he has violated our ONE condition, and he has a lot of other crimes under his belt. Normally, someone like him would be locked in prison forever, but he was given too much freedom, and now he has removed the leash that was around his neck."

No one responded to that. What she said was correct, but the more they learned about Jin, the more they didn't really want to mess with him.

While they weren't scared of him, they knew that dealing with him would be difficult, and they wanted to use his intelligence instead of keeping him as a prisoner.

"I'm with you." Brigida stood up as well.

"Since I agreed to bring him in if he violated the condition, I have no say in this matter." Mavena sighed.

"Just don't kill him, okay? We still need him to work for us." Atalana chuckled.

"I won't be helping you with this." Jerrica stood up to leave.

"Jerrica, this isn't something you can go against. You agreed with the condition as well." Roselyn reminded her.

"Oh, I'm not stopping you from going after him, after all, I agreed to the condition. I just don't want to see my grandson locked up."

"Hypocrite. You were going to arrest him a few weeks ago!" Brigida shouted.

"I was planning on sending him to my estate and putting him under house arrest. Why do you think I barely fought back against him? Regardless of our relationship, he's my grandson, and I won't allow harm to be done to him."

"So, were you going to allow him to get captured by us?" Roselyn asked

"I wouldn't stop you from capturing him. But I wouldn't have him stay in a facility as a prisoner."
