Jin made it to the outpost where his clone was acting up. Military and Aegis Corps personnel were scrambling to find the clone, thinking that it was Jin, and had a few aircraft search the area.
"Odd. The clone is gone."
[Could be hiding.]
"No, I don't sense the clone at all. It's like he's not here at all." Jin didn't understand why he couldn't sense the clone. He could sense everything around him, even the bugs moving on the ground, but he couldn't sense even an ounce of the clone's energy.
"How the hell can the clone use mana anyway? Even artificial beings need to train to use mana unless they have a powersource that does it for them."
Just then, Jin sensed something behind him, and he wasted no time cutting it in half with his hand. When he noticed what it was, he saw that it was a metal sphere.
"A cannonball?" However, he had no time to register why a cannonball was fired at him as something else made its way toward him at high speed.
When he caught what was coming after him, he took a good look at it and frowned.
"A grenade?" Jin crushed the explosive in his hand, feeling it go off in his palm. He was tired of this little game already and enhanced his senses to see where the clone was.
"Heh, found you." Jin had felt a little tug at his mana, indicating that someone around him was also using the energy, and he took off in that direction.
Right as he was closing in on whoever was there, the clone jumped out of nowhere and lunged at Jin.
This surprised him, but he wasn't taken off guard. Jin quickly grabbed the clone's face, slammed it into the ground, then lunged his hand through its chest, ripping out a crystal oozing with mana.
"Heh, a magic crystal. No wonder the clone could use mana." Jin pocketed the crystal alongside the clone. He wasn't going to allow it to explode this time.
"Now I can study this and see what it's after."
[This ended faster than expected.]
"That's how it's supposed to be. The clone wont be getting what it wanted, but I will. Time to go back home."

"You all were impressive, but you're still nothing." The woman was holding Lacena in the air by the throat, blood trickling down her face and body. The house was totaled from their fight, leaving only a part of it intact, and everyone else was beaten up badly.
Scattered all over the area were the others, brutally beaten and hanging on for dear life. After getting their powers back, they were confident that they could beat this woman, but after learning that she was in the same power tier as Jin, they simply tried to survive instead.
"Let her go!" Jessa moved like a blur, attacking the woman, but she was blocked with ease.
"Your speed is nothing special. You should have just stayed a battery for that weapon."
Jessa's anger rose even higher than it was, and her body started crackling with lightning. She was moving so fast that the electrons around her started to crash into each other, causing sparks of electricity.
She took off, running away from the woman to build up an immense amount of speed, and then she turned around, running back at her. The energy she was generating was so massive that she could power an entire city for days, and she was going to use this as an attack.
"Okay, I'll let you get in one good hit. Let's see how powerful your final stand is." The woman smirked, tossing Lacena away.
However, right as Jessa was about to punch the woman, she turned to the side, punching her mother in the back with all of her power, strengthening her to the extreme.
Jerrica, who caught wind of her daughter's plan, readied herself, and when she was struck, she channeled all of that power into her fist, striking down at the woman.
However, her fist was caught with ease.
"Impressive. If I hadn't come, you all would have definitely beaten the person in my place. Unfortunately, you have to deal with me." She ran her hand through Jerrica's gut.
Upon looking at everyone lying on the ground, bleeding out, the woman smiled.
"Now, should I kill you all right away, or let you bleed out to death? Oh, I know, I'll kill you, Jessa. Jin would lose it once he finds out that his mother, whom he had just gotten back, has actually died this time."
Jessa was too weak to move after using all her power to stop this woman, so instead of trying to fight, she accepted her fate.
"What do you think you're doing?" Jin's angry voice rang in everyone's ears. The calmness of it sent chills down their spines.
"J-Jin?" The woman didn't expect him to be finished with the clone so soon. "How are you here? The clone?"
"Oh? So you're a member of Edens Garden? Good, I have a lot of questions for you." Jin waved his hand, healing everyone there.
"Like hell I'll answer your questions!" A ten-layered magic circle shone in her hand, and she fired it in Jin's face, causing an explosion that knocked her away.
"A mage?" Jin did feel mana in the area, but it was so thin that he assumed it was from the others, not from this woman. He couldn't even feel mana coming from her until she released her spell.
"A 10th circle mage at that. Interesting. Things just keep getting more and more interesting." Suddenly, his nose started to bleed.
Upon seeing that, the woman lunged at Jin, thinking that he was injured, and right as she was about to strike, Jin's mana forced her to the ground.
"Nnnnghhhh!"
"You might be a tenth circle mage, but don't think our power is on the same level." Without even lifting a finger, Jin lifted the woman and was about to touch her forehead when a portal opened behind him, and an extremely powerful spell was fired at his back.
He dropped the woman, turned around, and caught the spell with his hand, grunting upon feeling a lot of pain. The force of it was pushing him back, and it destroyed the armor of his power kit around his arm.
"Eve!" He roared angrily, crushing the spell in his hand. His arm was bleeding heavily, but other than that, he was perfectly fine.
"Sorry about that, sweetie. But I need her. I hope you don't mind." She waved her hand, and Jin's blood flew toward the portal.
He couldn't see who she was, but he could feel her power, and she was no pushover at all.
"Come along, dear. Don't make my efforts go in vain. As for you, Jin, your role is still ongoing, so keep it up, okay?"
The woman raced toward the portal in a panic. She entered, and it started to close, but before it did, a blade of mana pierced the woman's heart.
"Enjoy the gift, motherfucker." Jin smirked, watching as the woman exploded while the portal fully closed.
