A few hours had passed, and Jin finally woke up. He felt very rejuvenated and could train for the next two days perfectly fine.
Angela was still sleeping by his side, her beautiful blonde hair with faint blue highlights draped across her face as she breathed quietly.
With a smile, Jin gave her a kiss on the forehead, then left the room.
"Ahh, Jin. You're back. We have bad news." Brittnay was the one to walk up to him.
"What's wrong?"
"It's Addison."
He froze. "Oh no! She's...She's not pregnant, is she?"
"What? No. She better not be!" Brittany didn't want to get done up again.
"Oh, phew. Thank god. What is it then?"
"She's gone. According to her last known location, she went to her family home but never returned. She's not even there anymore. Oh, and..." Brittany pointed at the three women sitting on the couch, each of them heavily injured.
Adelina, Alicia, and Alison.
"Oh, hello. What happened to you three?" Jin wondered, taking a seat next to them.
"I was shot in the head." Alicia groaned, with an Icepack on her forehead.
"Same! It's not a great feeling."
The reason why Alicia managed to survive was because of her powers. She and the other women in her family shared the same powers, meaning they shared the same affinity with mana. Because of this, her body naturally prevented the attack from being fatal, saving her life completely by accident.
"So, does anyone want to explain everything from the beginning?" Jin asked
"I will." Adeline pulled out a circular object, placed it on the living room table, and it expanded, a holo-screen appearing. It was her home security system that showed everything that went on.
When the feed went out, she explained the rest, her daughters filling in gaps when needed.
"And most importantly, that woman used some weird power to completely demolish the four of us. We stood no chance. It was embarrassing."
"Ah, yeah, I understand." Jin and everyone else knew it was mana Adeline was talking about.
"So, what are we going to do?"
"You all are going to do nothing." Jin voiced. "I'll go save her."
"But—"
"But nothing, Brittany. Stay put." Jin teleported out of the mansion.
---
"Ughh. W-Where am I?" Addison could barely see where she was, and looking around didn't help. Her powers were completely sealed, but her mana was still active. However, it felt weaker than normal, as if it had been absorbed, and something prevented her body from refilling itself with the energy.
"Good, you're awake."
"Motherfucker!" Addison wasn't really one to curse, but she just had to let one rip this time.
"Yeah, yeah, get it all out. Nothing will change anyway."
"Jin will come for me."
"I'm counting on that. And once he does, Madam Eve will make her move, and he will be done for."
Addison growled. "And what do you want with me?! And why do you always want to get Jin? First the sons of Adam, then that stupid ass alien, and now this Eve bitch! Can't you all just leave him alone?!"
"Hahahaha!" She punched Addison in the belly, knocking the wind out of her.
"Just shut up, little girl. Once Jin is here, I'll inform Madam Eve, then...nngh...t-then..." She couldn't finish her words. It was as if someone was pulling the air out of her lungs, but air was still abundant inside her body, so that couldn't have been the case.
Even Addison didn't understand what was going on, and she feared that what was happening to Islana would happen to her.
"W-What's happening?! Akkkk! Arghhh!" Islana started to shiver uncontrollably, her skin became sensitive, and each time air passed over her body, it was as if hundreds of bugs were crawling on her skin.
"Then what? You never finished." Jin walked out of the shadows and approached Islana.
"Jin! I knew you would—"
He lifted a finger toward Addison, telling her to be quiet. Once he was in front of Islana, he took that same finger and bombarded her with his mana until she was dead.
"I told you to stay put." His voice wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm either.
"I couldn't sit back and watch my family die."
"I understand that, but you should have told me. If anything happened to you...I don't even want to think of that. Let's go."
---
"Oh, it looks like Islana is dead. Oh well. Yuno, send the clone. You know what, and send a few of our people as well. How many are at that mansion?"
"Ten, including Jin."
"Sweet. Send nine people and the clone."
"Yes, Madam."
---
Jin returned to the mansion with Addison, and everyone was waiting for them in the living room, including an awoken Angela. Adeline, Alicia, and Alison had left and gone to the family company to check up on their other family members. They believed that Jin would save Addison and return safely.
"How did things go? Get into a major fight?" Oculia asked, floating upside down.
"No. It was simple."
Anyssa chuckled. "When he means simple, he means that he killed a whole army of people with ease."
"Heh, no, it was only one person. She was strong, but not—" Jin's senses suddenly started blaring like a loud alarm with blinking lights. He turned around to see what was coming, but he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
"Jin, you okay?" Jerrica didn't know why he was acting like that, but she knew that something was wrong, and she went on high alert.
The others did as well, just in case.
Jin's danger senses kept going off, the danger getting closer, and his eyes started to widen.
'Why does this feel like me? The old me?' Jin wasn't scared of any danger, but he was most definitely scared of fighting his past self. He would make Eve look like an ant if he had his old body.
Then, all of his senses told him to run.
"MOVE!" Jin blasted everyone to safety, then a being crashed into the mansion, tearing through the barriers and security, and landed on Jin, grabbing his neck, and dragged him through the ground.
"Hahaha! It's good to see you again!" Clone Jin shouted
Jin grabbed the clone's arm while punching him in the face. Feeling the clone's hand lose its grip, Jin grabbed his arm, got up, and slammed the clone into the ground. He then kicked the bastard out of the mansion, but the clone dragged Jin with him, using mana to pull him.
"Nnngh!" Jin channgled mana into his fist, the clone doing the same, and the two of them clashed fists, the energy produced erupting like a volcano, shattering the glass of buildings that weren't destroyed by the war.
