"Move, Addison!" Brittany teleported the woman Addison was fighting in front of her and jabber her fingers into the woman's throat. A spell wrapped around her neck, and then it blew up, causing the woman to die.

"T-Thanks." Addison breathed heavily, covered in injuries.

"Yeah." Brittany collapsed onto the floor, tired from the fight that just occurred.

When Jin was attacked, nine other women came and attacked them as well. They all were extremely powerful, being 10th Circle mages and transcendent espers.

Thankfully, Lacena, Jerrica, and Jessa had all become 10th circle mages on top of being transcendent espers as well, so they stood a chance.

Oculia, Brittany, and Anyssa were also 10th circle mages, but they weren't transcendent espers. Still, they were able to help out extremely well and managed to kill their opponents.

"Fucking bitch! I'm carrying a fucking child, and you attack me?" Angela had someone frozen in a block of ice after cutting off all of their limbs. She then froze every molecule in their body, pushing them onto the ground, and watched the body shatter like ice.

"Was that all of them?" Oculia asked while breathing heavily, her eyes burning from using her powers too much.

"I think so."

"Where's Jessa?"

"Here." She walked into the destroyed house with the head of her opponent, tossing it on the ground.

"Looks like you had a fun time." Jerrica smiled

"Haha. No, these people were powerful. If it wasn't for Jin, we would have lost. Look at Addison, Angela, and Yuria, they look worse than us."

"Huh? I'm fine! Did you not see me beat the shit out of this bitch? I can go again!" Angela did not turn away from any threat.

"You should be resting. I don't want anything happening to my grandchild." Jessa rushed over to Angela to make sure she was okay.

"You mean you don't want anything to happen to me?"

"What? No, my grandchild is more important."

"But carrying them!"

"And?"

"Wow, you're just like Jin, but opposite."

"So I'm nothing like him?" Jessa asked

"That's just what I said."

Ouculia took a seat to rest her legs, but the chair crumbled, and she fell on her ass

"Ughh! Lacena! Can you fix this place up, please?"

"Sure." The power of creation was very convenient.

The house was restored and looked as if it had never been destroyed in the first place, security system and all.

"Now we just need to wait for Jin to return."

Brittany jumped on the couch, her bones aching. "When do you think he'll be back?"

"Most likely when he finishes fighting that clone of himself."

"Well, until then, I'm going to take a shower. I have too much blood on my body to get comfortable right now."

"Same."

"Me too."

"Don't hog the hot water!"

"I like cold baths, it soothes the body."

"No, the fuck it doesn't!"

It was raining outside. Jin didn't even know how that was possible with the thick smoke covering the sky. Obviously, he knew that it was still possible for rain to fall, even in this condition, but he just didn't think it matched the scenery, or maybe it did.

He wasn't sitting on a building as the cool people do in movies; instead, he was sitting on the ground, leaning against the wall of a destroyed building, clutching his aching ribs.

"Oboro." He muttered under his breath. he couldn't believe it. He would never have expected it.

[Who's that?]

"My best friend from my first ever reincarnation. We grew up together, were always there for each other, and we were lovers. But she died."

[She died?]

"Yeah. After graduating from the magic academy at the top of our class, we were going to become adventurers since we didn't want to work for nobles. Life had other plans, though. I ended up becoming the hero, gaining the title Viron, the name of the first hero. I added her to my party and together, making friends along the way, we set out to kill the demon king."

"Yeah, and I was the typical isekai nerd who didn't take the world seriously. I saw everything as a game, a joke, something to do for fun. I knew that I would be reincarnated again whenever I died, so I didn't care about the risks of anything. I led a lot of people to their deaths, but nothing clicked until she died."

[That must have been rough.]

"It was devastating. When I tried to heal her, I noticed that she was pregnant as well. So not only did I lead my best friend, my lover, to her death, but I also led our child to that same fate. It broke me. It broke me so much that for my next few reincarnations, I was an absolute menace. I still think about her to this day, the life I would have had."

[Your family.]

"That's right. I was so broken that I cut myself off from my family in the next few reincarnations, doing whatever I wanted. It wasn't until a few reincarnations later that I met a monk who helped me. He really made me come to terms with how I felt. As an orphan, losing Oboro really broke me, and I felt shame when being with a new family. But after...monk therapy, ha, I was finally able to heal. And I've been like this ever since."

[I'm so sorry, Jin.]

"Don't be, it's okay. But I now understand why she hates me so much. I was her everything, and I repaid that everything with death, not only to her, but also to our child. To be honest, it took me a while to even have kids in some lives. I couldn't bring myself to have them. But once I did, I felt as if I had atoned for everything. I even named my first daughter after her to honor her memory and repay the kindness she gave me. But it seems that my sins haven't been washed away just yet."

[And Angela?]

"I'm scared. Scared that I'll lose her, scared that a repeat of my first life will happen." Jin stood up, wiping tears from his face.

"But I know what I must do. Obo...Eve gave me time to prepare since she wants me to suffer. I'll make use of that time and ensure that my loved ones don't suffer because of my actions millions of years ago."

[Millions of years?!]

"I had long lived lives before. Besides, my reincarnations aren't instant. Time passes by between reincarnations. Sometimes it's instant, other times hundreds, thousands, or millions of years pass by."

[Ah.]

"Come on, the others are probably waiting for me."
