"Wait, those guys are a part of the Brotherhood gang?" Angela took a closer look and saw the tattoos on their body, confirming what Jin said.

"Why would the Brotherhood need to poach red birds?" She asked

"Dunno, but we're going to find out soon."

Addison stepped forward and placed her hand along the barrier. She could feel her powers deactivating the longer she held her hand on the barrier. "Why would they put up a depowering barrier in this area? Are they expecting us or something?"

Jin shook his head. It was pretty common for people to activate power-dampening barriers to prevent women from harming or using their powers against them. But in this situation, it was different.

Power-dampening tools don't just work on people, but on animals as well. The same gene that gives women powers also gives animals powers, so it was common for people to set up these barriers to prevent animals from hurting them.

This was a practice used in hunting, and in this case, poaching.

"They don't want the birds to use their flames." Jin explained

Addison and Angela knew exactly what he meant and nodded along.

"I'm going to break the barrier. Once I do, storm in there and subdue them, understood?"

"Got it!" Angela punched her palm, ready for a fight.

"Understood." Addison readied her flames.

Jin activated his power kit, then jabbed his hands into the barrier. With a bit of effort, he ripped the barrier open, tearing a large hole in it that allowed Angela and Addison to attack.

"Look alive, bitches! You're about to learn what frostbite feels like!" Angela skated on ice toward the poachers, sliding behind one of them and freezing his back with a powerful blast of ice.

"We've been found! Sound the alarms! And activate the barrier!" The men quickly geared up and went on the offensive.

"Ice bastard! I'll kill you!" One man lunged toward Angela, but a fireball struck the ground in front of him, causing the man to halt.

"You're dealing with me." Addison fired two more fireballs at the man, but he blocked them with a holo-shield.

"Fine! You'll both die today anyway. It doesn't matter who dies first!" Rocket boots allowed him to fly toward Addison at high speeds. He pulled out a laser sword and swung at her neck.

Since she had the power to control and manipulate energy, Addison simply caught the blade and slammed her fists into the man's belly.

"Blast off." She muttered, releasing a blast of energy on the man's belly that sent him hurdling into a tree.

He collided against it with a loud snap and was knocked out instantly.

"Heh, not bad fire breath! But you're not as cool as me." Angela slid around a group of men and froze them from their feet all the way to their heads, creating a tree of ice with the men as branches.

"You're ice puns are not funny." Addison blew up the ice tree.

"Hey! I spent 5 seconds on that tree!"

"Focus, you two!" Jin lept in the air and kicked away two pulsar blasts that came from the sky, the explosions appearing on both sides of him like a dope movie shot.

"There they are! Get them!" More men came from above, flying with the air of jetpacks. They landed in front of the three Aegis Corps members and attacked right away.

"Oh yeah! This is gonna be fun!" Angela wasted no time and charged forward with tons of ice trailing her.

Right before she collided into one of the pochers, she leaped forward and arced her leg over her body. Tons of ice followed her movements, arcing with the flow of her leg, and when she stomped her foot on the ground, a wave of ice knocked back multiple poahcers.

She then clenched her fists, shattering all of the ice, turning them into spikes, and launched them at the poachers, stabbing them in multiple parts of their bodies.

"Hahah! Yeahhh!"

Addison fired a concentrated beam of energy that blasted through the defenses of multiple poachers, knocking them back. She positioned her arms behind her back and used her hands to propel her forward really fast.

A poacher who had got up saw her coming and quickly yelled at his companions. "Watch out!"

But it was too late.

Addison elbowed the poacher in the neck, knocking him out cold instantly. Her left foot ignited and directed her to her next target, who took a knee to the gut.

Both of her feet ignited this time, and she danced around the battlefield, appearing in front of her third target, kicking them in the face so hard that their helmet shattered.

"Die!" A man with a laser axe swung down on Addison, cutting her in half. But since she could turn into pure energy, she split into two beings instead of being cut in half.

The first Addison punched the man in the gut, while the second Addison uppercutted the man. The first Addison then kicked the man's knee, breaking it, and forced him to his knees, and the second Addison gave the man a mean kick to the face and sent him hurdling into a rock.

After that, they both stuck their hands out and, together, fired a beam of energy that blasted the man in the chest, taking out multiple people in the beam's path.

"Nice work, me."

"Right back at you, me."

The two then merged back into one.

As Addison and Angela finished up with their fight, they turned to Jin.

"Hey, Jin. Need any...help?"

Jin had completely manhandled all of the poachers in his path as he made his way to the Red Bird cages.

One poor soul tried to sneak-attack Jin, but his arm was cut off, followed by his leg, and Jin tossed the guy a metal marble, which then blew up in his face. It wasn't enough to kill him, but the guy would be permanently injured.

"Let's set these birds free, then we'll interrogate these guys." The moment Jin was about to touch the cage, his suit picked up a pulse, and he quickly protected his team from an explosion that could have injured them severely.

"Aw man, I was hoping that would kill you."
