A man in a high-tech power kit alongside a woman who could fly descended onto the ground. When they landed, they looked around at the sight of their people all beaten up, and they scowled.

"Pathetic. We pay them to do a good job, and they can't even take out three brats. Fucking useless." The man pressed a button on his gauntlet, and all of the heads of the poachers exploded.

"W-What the-Mngh!" Addison didn't expect to see the heads of people getting blown off, and it made her nauseous. Running to the side, she vomited everything out of her stomach while Angela ran to her side to make sure she wasn't attacked in that vulnerable state.

"Heh, weak bitch." The woman chuckled.

"Who are you two, and why did you kill your men?" Jin asked, pointing his photon blade at the two mysterious people.

"Hold on, you're Jin Telegard, the person on our high-priority list. The speaker wants a word with you." The man smiled.

"The Speaker? Who the hell is that?"

"Huh? Oh, right, you probably didn't catch his name when you last spoke with him. He's the guy with the mask you met in our temporary base underneath the casino."

Jin squinted his eyes. "And why does he want to speak with me?"

The woman laughed as if the reason wasn't obvious. "Because he wants you to join us, silly. Didn't he tell you this already?"

"He did, and I'm pretty sure I declined."

Angela was rubbing the back of Addison as she listened to the conversation. Her free hand was already sparkling with ice, ready to attack when Jin needed her.

"That's not how it works, sweetie. When The Speaker sets his eyes on something, he gets it no matter who or what it is."

Jin nodded toward the cage. "Like those red birds? What would you need them for anyway?"

"Join us if you with to know." The man smiled.

"Right." Jin threw ninja stars at the pair, the blades humming with photon energy.

Before they could connect with their targets, they froze midair and then dropped to the ground.

"Sorry, luv, but you'll have to do better than that." The woman had forced Jin's stars to the ground with her abilities and smiled at him.

"Keep him busy, I'll handle the girls. Remember, we need him alive." The man blasted toward Angela and Addison.

"Heh." Jin always had a plan, even in situations where the odds were stacked against him. Right as the man flew past Jin, the ninja stars exploded, knocking the woman back and the man forward, including Jin.

Using this momentum, Jin backflipped in the air and landed on the man's back with his hands, pressing him onto the ground, continued the backflip until his feet touched the ground, then kicked the man in the face and into the woman.

"Need a hand?" Angela asked.

"Release the birds."

"On it." Angela made a shield of ice around Addison, then skated off.

"You fucker! Karlreena, stop her!" The man shouted.

Karleena got up and flew toward Angela.

Jin reacted quickly to her movements, wrapping an energy whip around Karleena's leg, pulling her toward him, and slamming her into the ground as he grabbed her neck,

"Get the fuck off her!"

In his free hand, a pulasr gun materialized into Jin's hand, and he fired it into the chest of the man, burning a hole through his armor.

"Karlander!" The woman screamed.

Suddenly, Jin felt the gravity around him increase drastically. He thought the woman had telekinesis, not gravity control, so he wasn't expecting his weight to suddenly increase.

"You bastard! You're lucky I can't kill you, because I would crush you into a ball of meat! So I'll just scare the living shit out of you instead!" She flung Jin high into the sky, watching as he disappeared into the clouds.

Angela froze the cage the birds were in, then smashed it open, allowing them to go free.

"Go! Fly away, little birdies!" She moved her hands in the way people do to make birds fly away.

"No! Stop it!" Karleena yelled.

"Make me!" Angela was about to freeze the woman in place, but she dropped to her knees as the gravity around her increased.

"F-Fuck!"

"I'm not obligated to keep you alive! So die, you rich bitch!"

Instead of being scared of death, Angela smirked.

"Y-You're so dead!" She managed to get out.

"What are you tal—" A metallic fist collided into her cheek, shattering all the bones in her face, and a shockwave made the tree branches in the area sway as if it were a windy day.

The force of Jin's punch also shattered her spine; her head slammed against the ground, creating a crater, and she was instantly killed.

"Damn. That was brutal. Did you mean to kill her?" Angela got up and leaned on Jin's shoulder.

"No. But it doesn't matter." He turned around and saw Karlander groaning on the ground with steam coming from his chest.

"This guy will give us the answers we..." The foot of a large bird stomped on the man, squashing him like a bug. "...need."

"What the fuck?!"

Jin quickly backed away, grabbing Angela. "Angela, why the fuck is there a Phoenix here?"

"How the hell am I supposed to know? All I did was free the birds from the cage."

As if waiting to be mentioned, all of the birds that were freed from the cage started flying around the phoenix as if the creature were their master.

"Think we can take it?" Angela was prepared to attack.

"Yeah, but this is going to be a tedious fight. They have near infinite regeneration, and as long as they have strength, they will keep coming back to life if killed."

"SQUAKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!" The phoenix screeched. However, it didn't attack them. Instead, the bird pointed its beak at them, then pointed its beak in a different direction.

"Uhh, what's it doing?"

Jin studied the body language of the phoenix, then looked at the red birds who started circling around Jin and Angela, and then flew in the direction the phoenix's beak was pointing.

"I think they are trying to tell us something. Let's follow them."
