"What's your name, son?" Carlnitus completely disregarded Jin breaking into his office and held out his hand for a handshake. His mind wasn't occupied with the break-in, but with Jin's mind.

"Jin Telegard. I work for the Aegis Corps." He shook Carlnitus's hand.

"The Aegis Corps has a genius like you in their midst? Ha! Your genius would be better suited for a place like this! Wanna join my company?"

"Probably after my time with the Aegis Corps is over."

"Understandable. I know about their crazy contacts and shit like that. This is why I have a join and leave when you want policy at my company. It expresses freedom."

"Sir!" One of the security guards said to get Carlnitus's attention. "These two just broke into your office! Especially during the time when you specified that no one is to enter!"

"Hey, what did I say about calling me sir?" His voice changed, becoming deeper, angrier.

"S-Sorry. Boss man."

"That's more like it! But it's fine! Did you see what he just did? That was Space Displacement! That kind of tech is extremely hard to create! Tell me, how did you make that possible? Every time I create a space displacement device, it just implodes on itself. I keep losing millions each time I work on that tech."

"That's because you're trying to displace the device. You need to displace the space around the device instead. This way, the device is carried with the space when you displace it." Jin explained.

"Mother fucker! That's why I keep messing things up! Martha!"

"Yes, Boss Man?"

"This is Martha, my assistant. She makes sure I stay functional at work. With a mind as big as ours, we tend to forget things, am I right, pal?"

"Absolutely. I once built an entire power kit by myself, and it didn't work. Then, Brittany over here was like, 'Did you put in the power source?' I looked at her as if she were crazy because, duh, I put in the power source! How else would it work? Then, after double-checking, I did not put in the power source. Something as simple as that."

"Martha! This guy gets me! What an amazing person! Security, stand down, this guy is a friend, not an enemy."

"B-But Boss man, your yoga session?"

"It's okay, I can do more yoga later. Jin, tell me, what made you want to meet with a fellow genius such as myself? Did you want to compare brains?"

Jin felt the urge to make a dick joke, but he refrained from doing so. That wasn't really his style anyway.

'I've been hanging out with Angela too much.'

"Yes, we need to speak with you. It's very urgent."

"Urgent? How urgent? Like the end of my company urgent or I need to eat food because I'm starving urgent?"

"End of your company urgent that could lead to you needing to eat food type of urgent."

"Oh, that's horrible. I'm listening."

Jin went on to explain who the Sons of Adam were and what they are after. He told them that his endoskeleton is the next on their list to take, and Carlnitus needs to either do his event digitally, higher a shit ton of security, or postpone it altogether.

Carlnitus listened closely to what Jin had to say, contemplating his response and next move. "Hmmm. These Son of bitches guys,"

"Sons of Adam, Boss Man." Martha corrected him.

"Sons of Adam guys, they're the ones who destroyed Olympus, right?"

Jin nodded. "That's correct. They're trying to change the dynamic of the world, placing men at the top by stripping away the powers of women. I've seen firsthand the tech they have, and it's dangerous."

"I definitely understand your concern, and as a fellow big-brained person, I highly respect your opinion. But this event is something I've been working toward for years! I can't simply postpone it because of some threat."

"But you'll be in danger!" Brittany emphasized. "And your life's work can be taken away from you! Is losing everything you've worked for more important than preserving it?"

"You don't understand. I've got investors lined up to see this project; the military and even the Aegis Corps are interested in the endoskeleton. Heck, I've even got offers from other countries to sell it to them at an extremely high price! I can't just cancel the event."

"I'm sure if you announce that the Sons of Adam are after you, everyone will understand." Brittay hoped Carlnitus would listen to reason.

"Think about what you could lose." Jin tried to make him see reason.

Carlnitus was silent for a bit, sitting in his chair with his hands curled together. He spent a whole minute in deep thought before opening his mouth to speak again.

"The event will go on. However, I will hire extra security and place my endoskeleton in a highly secured class cage that has power dampeners on it. That's the best I can do."

Jin understood and nodded. "Alright. I simply came here to warn you about the possible dangers so you can take the proper steps to ensure that your work is kept safe and out of the wrong hands."

"Ha, you're a real one, my fellow braniac! You're welcome here any time! Marhta! Do the thing!"

Martha gave Jin an access card that allowed him to come and go at any time he wanted.

"Take care of this, my brother."

"I will, thanks." Jin grabbed Brittany and left the building the way they came in.

"Well, that went surprisingly well." Brittany honestly expected things to go horribly. Usually, powerful businessmen and women tend to disregard the opinions of others and not take warnings seriously, so she was surprised that Carlnitus was complying so easily.

"I did my research on him, and he loves talking with smart people. That's why I entered his office the way I did. I knew he would ask about the space displacement."

"Yeah, that's cool and all, but please don't do that again. I felt like my insides were turned to mush."

"Haha! My bad."
