Jin assessed the situation he was in. Being surrounded on all sides didn't necessarily scare him or anything of the sort. It simply made him hyperaware of the people around him.
"Do you think that surrounding me with thousands of people will make me change my mind?" He asked the Speaker.
If anything, this was a poor intimidation tactic because Jin wasn't scared in the slightest. In fact, he was getting excited.
"No, but I'm hoping it will work just a bit. No matter how skilled you are, you can't beat an army of superpowered women and men equipped with highly advanced tech. Come with me, let's have a better chat."
"And if I say no?"
The speaker frowned. He was honestly tired of Jin's constant declines and was starting to think that he wasn't worth the time. "Do you think you have a choice?"
"Heh, do you seriously think that I'm at a disadvantage here? If anything, you just gave me a rare opportunity to go all out and show you just how powerful I am."
The Speaker knew that something was up with Jin when his black hair and blue eyes turned purple and his body emitted a purple aura.
"S-Sir speaker! T-There's something going on with his body! I-I think he has injected nanites into his bloodstream!" A technopath woman figured out by feeling the tech in his body.
'What?! He managed to successfully implant nanites inside his body?! See! This is exactly why I need someone like him! He's too much of a genius to ignore! The power we could possess with his knowledge!' The speaker completely changed his mind about Jin and went back to thinking that he was indeed worth his time.
"Capture him! I don't care how you do it. I just need him alive! We'll see what knowledge he has instilled in that brilliant mind of his!"
"Yes, Sir!" Thousands of people charged at Jin, some running while others flew. They came at him from all angles, leaving no possible way for him to escape.
"Heh, show me what you got!" The shadow of Jin started to glow purple, then it disappeared from his body, becoming a large circle of purple energy beneath his feet. He clenched his fist, the purple energy vanishing, but when he opened his hand, a violent storm of pure destruction wiped out hundreds of people in an instant, leaving nothing behind of their existence.
Everyone lucky enough not to be one of the few hundred people swallowed by the wave of destruction quickly backed away, not understanding how their comrades had just died, no, ceased to exist.
"W-What the hell was that?!"
"T-That didn't look like technology!"
"T-That was an ability! J-Jin has powers?!"
The speaker's eyes widened in shock. Then realization hit him like a brick wall slamming into his face. "The nanites! They work like the DNA splicer! The people you've killed, you've taken their power, haven't you?!"
Jin didn't answer, only smiled. The Speaker was wrong, of course, but he wasn't going to tell him that. He would allow the man to believe what he wanted to believe.
"GET HIM, DAMMIT!"
Jin disappeared from where he once stood, appearing behind one poor fellow as he cleanly chopped off the woman's head as if he were cutting through butter. He jumped in the air, his foot ignited with fire, and kicked the head into a group of people, and the head exploded, killing some and injuring others.
"Dammit! Don't let him get away!"
Jin, being the one-man army he was, charged toward the thousands of people who were coming after him with a smile on his face. No, it wasn't a smile; it was a maniacal grin, one that showed his lust for battle, for blood, a side no one on this new world had known of him.
A woman teleported above Jin, and he backflip-kicked her in half. A speedster ran to his side, attempting to ram into him, but he coated his arm in metal spikes and rammed them into the woman's chest and head.
A man rocking an extremely high-tech power kit, one almost as high-tech as his, locked on to Jin and rained down a barrage of missiles, all of them pausing in mid air, then changing their direction for the man, killing him in a violent explosion.
The battle continued on like this for a bit, Jin being ganged up on, only for the people doing to ganging to die horribly.
"Let's see how you can handle my metallic skin!" A taller, muscular woman lunged at Jin, her fist the size of his chest, slamming into the ground.
He maneuvered out of the way, dodging to the left, then right, backflipping away multiple times. When he backflipped once more, landing on his hands and feet, a clone of himself made of magical energy climbed bout of his back, clobbering the woman in the face.
"Arghhhh!!" Her metallic skin cracked from the force of the punch, and when she opened her eyes, a purple phantom of Jin was right in her face again.
"Ahhh! Stay back!" She double-handed slammed her fists into the ground, Jin and the Phantom dodging with ease as they both kicked her in the face.
A woman who could manipulate shadows attacked Jin from behind, sneaking up on him from his own shadow, but he pulled her out of it, slammed her back onto the ground, then stomped on her head.
A fire user tried to burn him alive, but the Phantom blocked the flames, grabbed Jin's arm, and threw him into the air. Jin kicked the woman toward the ground, and the phantom cut her in half.
It was clear that even with their numerical advantage, Jin was clearly superior in every way possible. He wasn't just a skilled and intelligent person; he was a nightmare.
"Sir, I need to get you out of here, now! Jin is a danger to all of us!" The portol woman shouted at the speaker.
"But he's right there! He's in our grasp!"
"Sir! Does this look like he's in our grasp?!"
The speaker watched as Jin and his phantom absolutely wiped the floor with his people, cutting them with ease and firing four purple energy beams with vaporized hundreds of people in an instant.
"Dammit! Let's go."
