Jin had created a barrier just in time to prevent the explosion from harming himself and Oculia. Neither of them was injured, thankfully, and Oculia was extremely confused by what happened.

"Jin, are you okay?" She asked, worried for his safety.

"I should be asking you that. I am the one who protected you after all."

"R-Right. Thank you."

"Yeah." Fire raged around them, and the house was crumbling by the second, debris falling onto his barrier.

"What could have caused such a thing? A gas leak?" Jin wondered, though, he thought it was something else, something dangerous.

"Who uses gas in their house these days? This is something else." Ocuila peered around, using her X-Ray vision to see past all the fire and destruction. When her eyes gazed at the front of the house, she saw two individuals out there that made her shudder slightly.

"See anything?" Jin also used his mana to peer past the fire and destruction, sensing two individuals outside his home.

"Patricia and Bathomala. Two dangerous criminals. They're supposed to be locked up in the Aegis Corps Maximum Security Prison! How in the world did they escape?! We have power dampeners that strip them of their natural strength, let alone their abilities."

Jin squinted his eyes. "The Sons of Adam. They have people everywhere, even in the Aegis Corps. They probably let them out. And by the looks of things, they're after me."

"You? Why?"

"Because I'm too valuable, apparently. Since they can't have me, they're trying to get rid of me." Jin was extremely pissed off that his home, his safe space, was destroyed. Thankfully, all of his data was kept in his own server and his head. But he was still angry.

Back on the outside, Patricia and Barthomala stood outside the flaming wreckage that was Jin's home.

"You think I got him?" Barthomala asked with a grin. She was down to cause another explosion.

"If Jin were that easy to kill, then the higher-ups would have done that already." Patricia rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, she noticed a glint in the fire, quickly activating her powers, which turned her body into smoke. A blade on a chain would have impaled her head if she hadn't reacted in time.

Barthomala's face beamed with excitement. "Haha! Looks like he isn't dead!"

Jin shot out of the wreckage, already in Patricia's face with his photon blade drawn. He swung his arm to cut off her head, but Barthomala grabbed his hand, slamming him into the ground, then kicked him back.

"Hmm?" Jin was shocked that she was able to react to his speed. It didn't even seem like she had superspeed to him.

'What the—" His photon blade started glowing like crazy, so he threw it in the air, and it exploded violently.

"Aw, man. So close."

"So she can turn what she touches into explosions." Jin put together after their single encounter.

Barthomala laughed. "Ha! Don't worry, you won't be able to do a thing about it!" She kicked off the ground, lunging at Jin. But two beams of energy blasted her in the chest, knocking her away.

"Don't you think it's unfair for two grown ass women to be touble teaming a young man?" Oculia asked, stepping out of the wreckage with her eyes glowing red.

'Heh, super vision. People think Oculia is useless in battle until they find out that she has heat vision.' Jin smiled.

Patricia's eyes widened, not expecting Oculia to be there. Everyone knew who she was: the best striker in the Aegis Corps. Though she didn't know she had laser eyes as one of her powers.

"Oculia Sarkent. You bitch." Patricia hissed.

"That's harsh. I would prefer it if you called me a Lovely Lady instead." She blasted Patricia with her heat vision, the energy beams going through her body as she turned into smoke.

Jin took off toward Patricia to deal with her quickly since he thought she would be more annoying to deal with, but Barthomala lunged at him before he could.

Seeing her gorilla-sized hands coming his way, Jin twisted his body mid-run and cleanly kicked Barthomala in the face, knocking her into his destroyed home.

"Be careful, Jin. I don't know where Patricia went!"

Behind him, Patricia attempted to attack him while he was off guard, but after seeing her power once, Jin was already prepared. The nanobots in his bloodstream produced an electrical current that scrambled molecules around him, which made it possible to hurt Patricia in her spoke form.

So, moving to the side to grab her arm, Jin punched her square in the chest, knocking the air out of her.

"Your power is dogshit," Jin smirked.

As Oculia ran toward Jin, standing back to back, she got an alert on her phone. Reading the message left her horrified.

"Jin! T-The prison, there's been a prison break. A thousand inmates escaped and are causing destruction all over the city. But that's not all! Some Aegis Corps Agents are attacking the bases we have."

"Go." He urged her. "I can handle these two."

"Are you positive?" She wasn't going to leave Jin alone, especially with two dangerous criminals.

"Very positive. Leave. I can handle this alone."

Oculia nodded, called her hover bike, and flew out of there.

"Wrong move, pal. You should have kept her around. Now you're going to die!" Barthomala lept out of the flaming house and slammed her hands onto Jin's own as he defended himself from her.

"TIME TO EXPLODE!"

"Yeah, for you." He pushed her arms to the side, then placed his hand on her chest. The energy from Barthomala's powers rushed onto her own body, blowing up right on her chest.

"Arghhhhh!!!!"

Smoke surrounded Jin, blocking his vision. He stayed calm, using his senses to be aware of danger, and waited for when he was about to be attacked.

When he felt something jerk his senses from behind his head, he ducked, grabbing whatever it was, slamming it onto the ground, then kicking it into Barthomala.

"I told you, your power is dogshit. You can't use that against me anymore." Jin cracked his knuckles and walked over to the two women. He had no intentions of keeping them alive, and they would die for destroying his home.

"So, who wants to die first?" He asked with a smile.

"You're going to regret not killing us right away." Barthomala took out a vial with a green liquid and drank all of its contents.

Patricia, after getting up, did the same.

Both of their strength increased drastically to the point where they were giving off waves of energy.

'So this is the serum in action, huh? This is good. Now, I can study it properly.' Even with their power increase, Jin wasn't worried in the slightest.

"Come. Show me what you got."
