Patricia and Barthomala were both oozing with power as they stood before Jin. From the looks of things, the negative effects of the serum were already kicking in, but they weren't noticeable to the two women, only Jin, who had studied it.

Their veins were showing through their skin with a faint green glow, and their bodies bulked up a good amount. They weren't hulking or anything, but the change was still noticeable.

"I'm going to blow you up like some fireworks!" Barthomala exploded forward, instantly appearing in Jin's face.

His arm sprang forward in an attempt to clobber her in the face, but under her feet, the air exploded, allowing her to move to the side without stepping onto the ground, and she kicked Jin in the back.

He stumbled forward, rolling on the ground, but quickly got up after being knocked down. When he took a step to move, he felt that his legs were frozen. Looking down, he saw that his shadow was locking him in place.

"Going somewhere?" Patricia wrapped Jin's entire body in shadows, constricting him like a snake.

"Good Job, Patricia, hold him right there!" Between her hands, the energy of an explosion cracked with tons of pressure, wanting to release itself. So when Barthomala struck Jin's chest with her palms, the energy exploded violently, causing the entire area to be shaken by tremors.

Once the dust settled, Jin was nowhere to be seen.

"Ha, what a disappointment. I thought he would be better than that. Oh well, our job here is done. Jin is now out of the way." Barthomala and Patricia walked off.

"Interesting. So not only did your natural physical strength increase, but the way you can use your abilities increased as well. Patricia can use shadows now, and Barthomala can combust the air. Is there anything more you two can do?" Jin was currently floating in the air, slowly making his way down to the ground as he was inputting data into his logs for his research later.

When he finally landed, he stopped inputting his data and stared at the two women, who were both shocked to see that he was still alive.

"I blew you up!" Barthomala screeched.

"No, you tried to blow me up, but it didn't work. Did you not see that I was blown into the air? Jeez, your awareness is as bad as Brittany when she plays Elden Souls."

"I got this." Patricia vanished into a plume of smoke, spreading around the block while casting a large shadow underneath herself. That shadow then bound itself to Jin and tried to pull him inside the dark place.

Instead, Jin slammed his hand into the shadow, dragging Patricia out of the darkness and holding her by her throat.

"Even if your powers have been enhanced, they are still trash." He plunged his hand through her chest, ripping out her heart, and crushed it.

"Y-You! You just killed her!" Barthomala stammered, stepping back slowly.

"I did, and?"

"You wont get away with this!" Like before, she exploded forward to attack Jin. Reaching about halfway to him, she jumped up, flipping forward multiple times, then slammed her fists onto Jin's arm as he blocked her attack from over his head.

When she tried to make his metallic plate on his arm, which was his power kit, explode, nothing happened.

"Yeah, no. You're not doing that shit anymore." Jin easily overpowered Barthomala, pushing her arms away with his right arm, then uppercutting her with such force that the ground shattered with his left arm.

Before she was sent flying, Jin caught her by the collar of her shirt, slamming her down onto the ground, and stepped on her chest.

"This is gonna hurt." His gauntlet morphed into a super high-tech energy pulsar cannon that hummed with such energy that the air started warping from the heat.

"W-Wait!"

"Nah." Jin bombarded the woman with hundreds of blasts that left the ground molten and scarred. The shots could be heard throughout the whole neighborhood, combined with Barthomala's screams of pain.

People in their homes were scared to look at the commotion, but after hearing gut-wrenching screams like that, a lot of them peeked out of their windows, while others stepped outside on their porch to see what was going on.

"Had enough?" Jin asked. "Good. Now, since you're a member of the Sons of Adam, you're going to tell me who your leader is."

"Nnnghhh! L-Like I would know, you fucking psychopath."

Jin picked her up by her burning throat. "That's not the answer I'm looking for." He chopped off her arm with a photon blade, cleanly cutting through her strengthened body.

"Arghhhh!!! F-Fuckk!!"

"Speak up, and you die without pain."

"Eat some pussy."

Jin struck her abdomen with his palm, injecting mana into her body to make her insides burn.

"Argghghhhhh!!!!!!"

"Wanna keep fucking around, or do you wanna just tell me what I want to hear?"

"H-Heh. You won't kill me. B-Before...nngh...y-you could because o-of your ties to the Aegis C-Core. But now, you're just a n-normal civilian. Killing is a c-crime!"

Jin didn't respond to her words. He simply stared into her hazel eyes, the smirk on her face making his mouth twitch with annoyance.

"B-Besides, there are w-witneses around us. W-What are you going t-to do about that?"

"Heh, heheh, hahah! Hahahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" His grip around her throat tightened as Jin's eyes turned purple and his energy exploded from his body.

"You have no idea who I am or what I'm capable of. If you think that I give a fuck about what others see about me, or if the Aegis Corps scares me, then you're severely mistaken."

Barthomala knew she fucked up. She could feel the power radiating from Jin's body, the cruelty in his voice, and his eyes, which had no life in them. The eyes of a killer. No, not a killer, a man who isn't affected by death in the slightest.

"I don't even have to read your mind to figure out that you don't know the identity of the Speaker; your first few responses gave that away. However, killing you? I've killed people for far less and petty reasons, and each time I took their life, I did so with a smile on my face."

Jin's hand started to glow red, which then turned orange, and finally, it turned white. "Since you like blowing things up, why don't you expierence that for yourself?"

"N-No! Wait! Ple-"

BOOM

Jin blew up her body.

"The effects of the serum were pretty... underwhelming."
