He flicked his wrist and the whip hit one of the magma balls floating in the air. The whip passed right through it, dividing the magma into two. Despite that they didn't stop moving.

Alaric tried again swinging the whip towards magma in the air. The moment the whip touched the magma, ice was released it mixed with the magma started to steam before it exploded.

Alaric was thrown back by the force of the explosion but landed on his feet.

" Should have taken science class seriously," he ran back to the sight. The magma balls were now on the ground.

The moment he arrived in front of them, one of the balls shot directly at him.

Alaric hit it freezing it in the process. He jumped backwards fast before it exploded, escaping the blast.

Two of the magma balls jumped out of the explosion and headed right for him. He hit both of them with the whip, freezing them, before they could explode. Another jumped out of the smoke, heading for his head. He ducked down and swung his whip upwards.

He rolled on the ground as the three exploded together. The explosion sent him a few meters backwards across the hot floor.

" This fuckers are pushing me back," Alaric said out loud. He noticed they were quite suicidal and since they could multiply and were reproduced from the magma, they were going to be endless.

He had to find a way to move forward without being pushed back by the blast.

As the smoke cleared, he looked up and saw dozens of the magma balls. There were also some on the ground.

He estimated the distance from where he was to the place where they seemed to be produced.

His Intuition told him that if he crossed it, he would be safe.

He decided to just run through it, the distance wasn't long, and he could use the blast moment to push him forward if he got overwhelmed.

He won't be the only one affected by the blast, he convinced himself.

Alaric ran straight to the oncoming balls. The first one shot straight to the top of his head, and he ducked down. Another one came from below, and he dodged to the side, still running.

They came down like bullets, but Alaric dodged, rolled, and ducked all the balls he could see. The ending wasn't clear, but he noticed most of them were heading towards him.

He came to a stop before he could run through a wall of magma from by the magma balls. Even he knew his limits. He looked at the wall of balls and turned to look behind him. They were also behind him, the lot he had dodged.

" You think you can stop me."

He smiled and swung his whip across the wall of magma, freezing the ones in the middle. He didn't do the same to the ones right above them and kicked the wall before it could explode.

With the opening, he jumped through just as the explosion began.

The force of the explosion sent him forward across the boundary. Alaric rolled on the ground to break his fall before he came to a perfect stop, uninjured.

Behind him, the balls continued to explode until there were only a few left floating in the sky

Alaric continued forward, looking at the volcanic mountains. He looked to the side, but only saw magma, and rivers of magma. The path led directly to the mountains.

Alaric sighed in irritation. He really had to climb another mountain again. He stretched himself and decided to see if he could run up the mountain.

" Here goes nothing."

Alaric jumped over dykes as he ran, magma would occasionally shoot towards him a futile attempt to stop him.

He arrived at the top ten minutes later looking down into the crater. The magma boiled more vigorously as though detecting his intrusion.

From the magma, a humanoid figure appeared and jumped out of the crater.

It landed a few meters from him. Alaric looked at the creature in shock. In the middle of its chest was the dungeon core hanging .

There was a ball of magma revolving around it.

He knew he had to personally break the dungeon core or the portal won't open.

He only had two choices kill the creature without blowing up the core or find a way to take the core out.

A magma arm shot out from a dyke next to him and tried to punch him. Alaric swung his whip and hit the base of the dyke freezing the entrance. He could hear the reaction of the heat and ice, but he was confident he would be out of there before it blew up.

He swung his whip towards the boss's head, freezing him. He kicked its head, breaking the head of its body. It rolled down the creator and blew up.

" Okay, you are almost a walking bomb."

He aimed at both its arms, freezing them and kicking them off. Before he could celebrate, the boss grew both its arms and head.

Two arms shot from either side of him, trying to hold him down, but Alaric jumped backwards and swung his whip towards them. Another appeared before him, and he skipped to the side, but two more appeared from the ground, trying to hold him down.

" You really have the home group advantage, huh?" he muttered, looking at the immobile boss.

He abruptly shot to the boss and threw his whip directly at its chest. The boss tried to block the whip with another magma hand but the whip passed through it and went into the magma ball in its center.

The whip wrapped around the dungeon core and pulled. They came out of the magma easily and flew back to him.

Alaric held the core in his hand watching it in fascination. The boss went mad after it lost the core.

Several magma hands came out of the ground aiming for him. Alaric avoided most of them and aimed for the boss's chest.

The ice activated and started to freeze the boss. Alaric moved backwards fast as he watched the boss slowly turn to stone. It exploded with a huge boom shaking the whole dungeon.

Alaric could also feel the effects despite being on the opposite side of the boss.

The magma in the crater started to rise rapidly.

" Shit this is going to explode," he said as he ran fast towards the direction of the boss. He had to pick the skill card and awakener stone before the volcano erupted.

He skipped over the over flowing dykes and reached the place the boss had been standing to find both dungeon rewards lying in the frozen magma. He picked them up and broke the dungeon core.

The magma had almost reached the top. He stepped into the portal a huge boom followed right after.

Alaric shivered a little the moment the outside breeze brushed against his skin. He watched the portal disappear before he walked back to the girl who had admitted him.

" Hi," he smiled at her giving her his card.

" Ooh, you're out!" she said, her eyes widening in surprise.

" Yap, how long has it been?"

" Close to an hour."

She gave him back his card. Alaric nodded and took his card.

He looked at the two other portals and turned to the girl.

" How about those?"

" There are people inside who got in earlier than you, so they should be out."

Alaric nodded. He called a cab and stood where the girl was waiting.

" They're out," the girl said. Alaric looked towards the middle portal as the people inside stepped out. It was a group of ten people.

" Kael," he called out after spotting him at the back of the group.

Kael's eyes visibly brightened when he saw him. He whispered something to the group then jogged over to him.

" Alaric, what are you doing here?" He asked a very obvious question.

" Dungeon hunting, I just cleared mine. "

" Where's your team? " He asked him looking around curiously.

" I cleared it alone, " Kael's eyes widened, " what about you what's your dungeon rank? "

Alaric was genuinely curious the people in there were a little too many.

" It's a B class, I got in as support but it felt good clearing it, " he said with a huge smile.

" Good job, maybe we can go to a dungeon together someday," Alaric said, patting his shoulder. The man was really huge.

Alaric saw his car arriving from the corner of his eye.

"Do you want to leave with me or are you going with your new friends?" Alaric asked, glancing at the group behind Kael. They were clearly waiting for him.

" Ooh, I forgot to introduce you. This is Alaric, my boss, and this is my new team. They've been really accommodating. "

" Hello, " Alaric nodded at them. They barely responded back. Alaric shrugged his shoulders, he couldn't care less.

" Okay, I'll be leaving I've got an appointment in the evening," she said to Kael before heading to the car and getting in. He waved at Kael one last time as the car started to leave.

Kael looked at the disappearing car and sighed. He turned to his temporary team.

" That was rude, thank God Alaric is really kind," he said walking back to them.

" You should quit. Why would you work as a guard in a brothel with your skill?" one of the men asked a shield carrier.
