lust bound: The prostitute rank up system.

Chapter 104: 104: Mercy

Kael smiled, " I personally love the job, you should come and visit if you have time. Alaric saved my life and it felt like fate when I met him."

The others were quiet perhaps trying to process what he was saying.

" But he looks so young?" A girl said.

" Don't be fooled by that fact, he's the reason the brothel is even operating successfully is because he's there and managing it."

" How old is he?"

" Eighteen. Now, stop with the questions. You can search online and find his life history. "

" I have to come visit there at least once. "

" Sure, I'll welcome you with open arms. "

...

Alaric arrived at the brothel an hour later. He sneaked through the back door and went directly to his room.

He had just finished dressing after his bath when the door was knocked on. He opened the door to find Rhea standing there smiling.

" What's the happy occasion?"

" Bethany woke up," she said unable to hide her giddiness.

Alaric didn't even thank her, he rushed out of the room and ran directly to Bethanys room.

" Beth," he called softly.

She turned to look at him her eyes just as bright as they had always been.

" Morning," She said, her voice coming out rough since she had not been using it for a while.

" Morning. "

Alaric knelt by her bed, took her hand, and kissed it. He felt like jumping up with joy, but he didn't want to scare her, since she didn't look like she had fully woken up.

" How long have I been out?"

" Close to a week."

" Dammit, I lost so much money."

Alaric chuckled sadly.

" This is what you get for not listening to my warning."

After he said that, her dams broke and she started to cry. Gut-wrenching sobs. Alaric sat on the bed and picked her up, pulling her trembling body into his arms.

"I was so scared I thought I was going to die," she said between sobs. Alaric rocked softly, comforting her.

" I'm sorry, but you're safe now I won't let something like that happen to you again."

Alaric felt her pain more than she knew it. She was like a sister to him and one of the strongest and cheeriest people he knew. Seeing her crying this painfully broke his heart.

" I'm sorry." That was the only thing he could say through her sobs as he waited for her to calm down.

After ten minutes of her crying and his apologizing, she eventually cried herself to sleep. Alaric lay her to bed slowly before leaving her room quietly.

Ha, what a mess, he thought to himself. Looking at her closed door, he turned to Rhea, who was standing by the door, and smiled softly.

" You don't have to camp outside her door for long, you can move around. "

" No, if she wakes up again she should have someone next to her. "

Alaric sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

" As you wish. And thank you."

" No problem. "

After that, he decided to go to his room and train since it would be a while before Mercy came to him.

....

Mercy looked at the dead body with a broken neck before her and smiled. She couldn't wait to meet Alaric in the evening, but she still had a few assassinations to under her belt she had to finish.

She removed the clothes she had been wearing and put on the leather trousers and top before she started to organize the body. The murder was supposed to be a warning.

That had been what her client had requested but it seemed ridiculous. If they wanted to leave a warning they should have made it bloodier.

Maybe cut all the limbs and spread them around the house and put his head in his home office so that anyone who wanted to enter the room would be greeted with it.

It had been hard work to lower the man's guard without sleeping with him, but she was one of the best assassins in the academy, and where she worked. She had still managed to pull it off flawlessly.

She could hear footsteps approaching the study. No one knew she was here , she had used the excuse of wanting to add a thrill in their relationship to prevent him from taking her through the front door.

Killing him had been a piece of cake. She walked to the balcony and jumped down landing flawlessly.

By the time shouts filled the house she was already gone.

Mercy looked at the police sirens heading to her last victim's house and smiled. They had probably gotten the message.

Her phone pinged. She opened it to see that her payment had arrived.

She had started her career at fifteen, trained from the age of seven. The training was involuntary since she had been taken from the slums with many other kids and thrown into a pit with little to no food.

It was a hell show. Since she had been living in the slums with a deadbeat dad, she had learnt to forage on her own. While the other kids cried to be saved, she stole most of the food and ate it while the others searched.

Half of the children had starved to death while some of them had survived by snatching and killing their neighbors just to get food. Others had turned to cannibalism just to survive.

At first she had been disgusted by everything happening around her, but she eventually got used to the brutality of it all.

At seven years old, she had already been traumatized enough by her father and neighborhood that the things in front of her were disgusting at best.

She had learnt early on to shut off her emotions and kindness was the worst mistake one can make.

When the people who had kidnapped them came back only twenty children had survived.

The ones who had cannibalized the others had been killed right in front of her. The group had used them as a warning to them. If they don't get in line, they will eventually be cut into pieces.

Laura had thought that would be the end but it seems they were directly thrown into the fire. Their training had been borderline cruel and torturous.

Children kept dying and new ones were brought to replace them, but she wasn't one to give up. She just chanted in her heart to keep going ,to stay alive.

After a grueling seven years of training in every method of killing and body disposal, they were let loose into the world. Broken psychotic killers who had little to no emotions.

They were all forcefully awakened at twelve, which was too young for even the body to endure the onslaught of mana as it made its path in the body.

They had been thrown into an F-ranked dungeon and told to survive. Meeting monsters for the first time and fighting bare-handed was not as easy. It was torture, but her survival was on the line, and she wouldn't let herself die.

Half of the group had managed to escape but at the cost of the others. By that point, most of the people had grown emotionless, some had become bloodthirsty killers, and most had just shut down, moving with the motion.

Mercy could evaluate herself as one of the only normal people in the group. She felt like she came out pretty well. It's not like she hated what she was doing she loved her job.

She had eventually killed the person who had kidnapped her, releasing her from any lasting emotional burden.

She thought of the first time she had met Alaric. Vulnerable, asleep, and easy to kill, but he was the most beautiful person she had ever seen.

She just couldn't place a finger on what attracted her to him and prevented her from killing him.

Not killing him had been an impulsive decision but she was thankful she didn't. He was like fresh air in her dark world. She had to pay back the money she got for failing the assassination but that didn't bother her at all.

Maybe it was love at first sight or lust at first sight; she wasn't sure, but she was not going to let him go. Maybe she should even tighten the leash around his neck more.

He seems to be attracting more and more flies. The man was just too lustful for his own good. If she could, she could assassinate them all and have him to herself, but she wasn't that stupid.

She had to admit that he knew how to choose women. Most of them were from very powerful families. Although some were weak they had strong backing behind them.

If enough money was thrown out she would be caught eventually. She wasn't about to pat her back and call herself the best assassin she wasn't.

She was only an A-class awakened, and there were stronger out there. What made her stand out was her power. She had an absolute mastery of all weapons.

She could use any weapon she wanted, since she had trained for decades.

Mercy chuckled to herself and left the cafe she was sitting in, reminiscing had never been something she did often.

" Let's go and see what surprise he has?" She said out loud looking at the setting sun.
