The dungeon was a marsh dungeon. Alaric could already feel the sticky water and mad on his shoes. And top it off he was wearing dress shoes, maybe he should try and find shoes that can fit dungeon.

There were little mosquitoes everywhere and their bites were were so painful. Alaric activated soothing precense and enveloped him and Kisha since they seemed to be the only ones who didn't carry a lot of things.

He only had a small backpack of food and water plus his weapon. Kisha was much worse she had nothing, she only brought her body.

Soothing precense helped to neutralize the hostility of the bugs and they didn't bite them anymore. She looked at him with a smile noticing his help.

Alaric looked around wondering what type of monsters would be found in a marsh dungeon. They were still together ,the whole group, and everyone seemed to be heading to the same direction.

Suddenly a splash sound came then a huge mouth appeared from the mushy ground .

" Watch out," Alaric shouted as he pulled Kisha back with him away from the mouth.

Everyone scattered trying to escape but the guy in the lead wasn't lucky the mouth snapped shut taking his upper body with him . The lower body was the only one left as its muscles twitch.

The attack was so fast that no one noticed it. The place where the mouth had appeared went back to normal looking like part of the mush lands.

" What was that?" Someone whispered.

" I think it's a marsh crocodile, they are famous for their ability to blend into the mash," one of the awakened answered.

" So how do we get past that," some else whispered their voice frantic

" Well I don't know, there might be more of them and we are standing in the middle of it," the awakened replied his voice shaky.

" Maybe we could use someone as bait," Tony, the red hair one, said.

Everyone went quiet. Who wants to be bait. One of them had already died Infront of them, bitten in half. The mash had returned to quiet and no one knew where they were.

Normal land was just a two hundred meters away but getting to the said island was going to be a problem. The island was like a safe zone in the mash but the mash crocodiles could still get there.

Alaric couldn't even come up with a plan. The place was just too foreign.

" Is there any volunteers?" Tony asked his voice filled with glee. Alaric had a very bad feeling. He could practically see what the man was thinking when he turned to him.

" I choose Alaric," he said his eyes narrowing coldly. Alaric's eyes widened he knew from the moment they started to act chummy that something was terribly wrong.

" Are serious right now. This is so ridicuculous," he said out loud, not caring if the monsters might hear him or not.

" Why not, everyone agrees," Tony said shaking his head in false disappointment.

Alaric turned to look at the others and they all had the same careless smile. That was when it clicked, this fuckers were all together and probably him and Kisha were the outsiders.

He turned to look at Coco, she met his eyes and tears started to form," just help us this once, we accepted you in our team didn't we. Without us you wouldn't have been able to enter the dungeon."

Alaric looked at her white lotus act and laughed out loud. He had really gotten too trusting. His life had been going well for the past weeks that he started to lower his guard.

He had forgotten that this was a world that thrived in blood and the weak will be swallowed whole while the strongest feast on their bones without a shred of guilt.

From how this group operated and acted they were very good at this and probably looked for new faces to use as bait in dungeon.

If someone died in a dungeon, there will be no evidence against the perpetuators. The monsters might have killed them for all he knows.

He laughed out loud then turned to Kisha," are you one of them too?"

" Eew no," she said her face scrunched up with disgust.

" Hey listen you bitch ...." Tony started to talk after seeing her reaction but Alaric cut him off.

" Fine, you want bait," he said picking up Kisha. She wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck then she lay on his back.

" I'll give you bait," he walked past then then increased his speed and jumped directly on the crocodiles head, but didn't stop and continued running as it started to stand up annoyed at being disturbed.

" Hey !"

Alaric didn't look back.

The moment the one crocodile stood up, it was like a domino effect. The mash started to shake as more and more huge bodies emerged from the muddy pools.

The crocodiles were about the size of a minibus . If Alaric stood Infront of him it would tower over him. They could just eat him in one bite.

He jumped from the crocodiles body and landed on the mash. His speed was more reduced with her on his back and the muddy path.

A mouth suddenly opened Infront of him and Alaric slowed down and turned to the side escaping as the mouth snapped shut.

He bent his legs and jumped on the monsters back, he could see the island getting closer but he knew he was a walking target since he was in the open.

" Alaric jump right," Kisha said to his ear.

He didn't hesitate , he jumped to the right off the monster and didn't stop running and right after there was a huge bang sound.

" There was one sneaking behind use," she said explaining the huge voice. He could now see the island, it was only a few meters away.

Before he could reach it a crocodile bigger than the others stepped Infront of him. He came to a stop breathing hard as adrenaline still courses through his body.

He let Kisha down before readying himself for a fight.

He summoned the whip and wrapped it around Kisha's waist.

" I'm going to throw you over," he said turning to look at her," you should be able to land directly on the island."

She nodded her eyes serious. Alaric pulled his wrist back then swang it up with everything. He knew the whip was strong and it was like Kisha was heavy.

The moment he swang up she was lifted of her feet and into the air, the whip following part of his intent. She landed in the monster's back while running then she jumped off it's back right after.

" I'm okay," a shout came clearly her's from the other side. He breathed a sigh. He wanted to try fighting this monster .

He flicked his wrist and the whip hit the monster directly in it's eye. It roared out loud then it swiped its tail towards him. He jumped back narrowly escaping it's spiked tail.

He ran towards it and flicked his wrist and hit in the same eyes. This time the whip slashed the eye clean. He jumped back as it tried to stomp on him it's foot dispersing the mud and water.

A few meters from the monster,he flicked his wrist the whip snapping in the air as the red aura started to form around the whip and it became re.

A red arc emerged from the whip and shot directly to the monster slicing a part of it's neck.

The place glowed red as the monster stumbled a bit. The level up of velvet dominance had really come with it's perks.

The effect would only last for ten seconds so Alaric ran directly to the monster whipped his whip sending another flash into the very would increasing it's length.

He wrapped his whip around its neck and pulled it to himself. It shook it's head violently pulling Alaric towards it. He released his whip and flicked it again hitting the cut part of the neck.

The monster roared at him. The moment it opened it's mouth and roared Alaric flicked his whip and it went into it's mouth coiling around it's long tongue and pulled.

He centered his weight around his feet and yanked with everything his got. The monster tongue pulled right of it's mouth as blood came spluttering towards him.

He jumped away before it could splash on him only a few droplets falling on him. He knew despite this the thing would probably not die.

He flicked his wrist and the whip flew to it the red aura Arched towards the monsters head . Both the arc and the whip hit the monster one after another.

The crocodile twitched then it went silent.

He looked around and saw that most of the monsters had noticed him from the blood smell and the flesh . He jumped into the monsters body and looked back as the other crocodiles struggled to get a piece of meat.

He walked to Kisha who was standing in the island clearly worried and said to her," we should go find the dungeon boss."
