Amon felt his blood begin to boil.
All the fatigue he had felt from reading so much vanished instantly.
The next moment, he activated the visualisation art.
Instantly, his eyes brightened as his primordial energy drained steadily toward them.
A heavy tension settled over the group.
The seven silhouettes standing on the roof, barely illuminated by the night sky, continued staring at Amon.
No one wanted to be the first to attack.
It wasn't because Amon was scared, but rather he was still having difficulties activating the visualisation art.
He wasn't as adept at it as he was in his other battle arts.
Thankfully, it activated moments later.
Instantly, his vision changed drastically, and in his line of sight, he noticed an ash-colored light.
The light was extremely bright, but it was nothing compared to what he had seen from Damien.
And coupled with the fact that the light was ash, it didn't strain Amon's vision.
Internally, he roughly estimated their strength.
All seven of them were at the fiend core rank.
"Ganging up to bully the weak?" Amon was astounded.
Still, he didn't pause in the slightest.
The beast that had clawed at him first gradually pulled itself out of the ground after a long struggle.
However, the moment it did, Amon calmly stepped forward, his primordial energy surging wildly.
Swoosh.
A glow brightened the night sky slightly, and the next moment, Amon was behind the beast.
The beast stiffened, then its body split apart, both halves falling in opposite directions.
A chill instantly spread through the surroundings.
It seemed the beasts were finally going to take him seriously.
"Aren't you interested in seeing how your friend is faring in the afterlife?" Amon asked passionately, then stepped lightly once again.
Instantly, his movements blurred, and he was in midair.
Tilting to the side, he swung his sword.
'Unholy Crescent Moon Sword Art!'
A crescent moon glow instantly coated his sword.
It reflected the light of the moon under the night skies, and before the seven beasts could realize what was happening, the attack streaked through the air, heading toward one of them.
The attack collided with the beast with a loud bang, but as the dust cleared, Amon's eyes narrowed slightly.
Strangely, the beast was unharmed.
It was to be expected, however, as this beast was at the fiend core realm.
"Kill!" one of them spoke in a strained voice.
"You can talk?" Amon was dumbfounded.
But he had no time to think as all seven beasts rushed toward him simultaneously.
Amon's mind raced, and he instantly realized he couldn't keep up with their speed.
They were so swift that one moment they were on the rooftop, and the next instant they were already in front of him.
His pupils shrank as five fists headed toward different parts of his body.
Amon was only able to use his sword to block the two punches aimed at his head, but the remaining ones fractured his bones instantly.
Amon winced in pain, feeling a stinging sensation all over his body, especially in his arms and ribs.
'How tough,' Amon spat a mouthful of air and stood up from the ground.
The moment he did, his mind screamed in alarm.
The air let out a whooshing sound, and Amon felt the wind brush against his body.
'Drifting Snow Sword Art!'
Without hesitation, Amon used the fifth sword art from the set of six.
Since this one specialized in increasing speed to an intense degree within a split second, Amon subconsciously felt it would be enough to deal with the beasts.
Swoosh!
A chilly wind blew by, and snowflakes seemed to condense out of thin air.
The snowflakes drifted slowly through the air, as though carried by the night's breeze.
In the next instant, however, the snow faded.
The arms of more than three star beasts were sliced off, and two more were injured.
Suddenly, Amon felt a whistle and a punch landed on his back, sending him forward with a loud crash.
'How frustrating,' Amon complained as he crashed heavily onto a building.
Surprisingly, the force of his crash didn't damage the building; rather, it caused his internal organs to churn and blood to surge from his body to his mouth.
He almost vomited a mouthful of blood but forcefully swallowed it.
'Damnation!' Amon cursed silently as he struggled to stand, his gaze fixed on the beasts.
'What's up with the academy, and why hasn't anyone shown up yet? The noise is loud enough to attract attention!'
Amon felt something was wrong but couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Still, he couldn't let himself be distracted.
As he swallowed the mouthful of blood forcefully, he felt his wounds healing slightly.
At the same time, his emotions riled up.
A sense of bloodlust and killing intent leaked out from him.
It spread through the air, causing the beasts to momentarily freeze.
Although Amon was surprised, he understood that the limitless physique was acting up once again.
He felt the urge to kill!
Kill until none of the beasts remained alive!
Amon's eyes were filled with craziness, and without regard for his life, he charged toward the beasts.
Swoosh!
As though on instinct, a bright orange glow coated his sword.
'Sunset Sword Art!'
The night skies brightened considerably as a searing wave flashed by.
Instantly, the arm of a beast was cut in two.
However, Amon felt his bones crack as he was struck in the back with a thunderous punch.
Bang!
Amon was sent flying once more, but midflight, he stabilized himself.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
To Amon's utter shock, his bones creaked and regenerated themselves.
Even his internal organs were healing subconsciously as time dragged on.
"Let's have fun!" A grin spread across Amon's lips, revealing his bloodied teeth and making him look like a savage beast.
The seven beasts didn't seem to possess any emotion as they simultaneously attacked him without pause.
Normally, star beasts could use the energy of the stars to regenerate themselves and possessed certain unique traits. It was also one of the reasons why it was naturally agreed not to battle them at night.
However, Amon wasn't aware of this.
And even if he was, he had been attacked first—what else could he do?
Amon noticed that the three beasts whose arms he had sliced off had regenerated them.
"That's how you want to play, huh?" Amon growled as he unleashed a Sunrise Sword Art on another beast.
"In that case, I'll just slice more than you can regenerate. I've always wondered how star beast meat tastes."
Amon's attacks grew more careless as the fight dragged on.
Meanwhile, the beasts, despite being forced back at times, were still able to keep Amon in check.
Nonetheless, as the fight continued, Amon only grew wilder and wilder.
His sword moved at lightning speed toward the right eye of a star beast.
Then, within the same second, his sword struck the leg of another.
As Amon fought more, his speed grew so fast that the beasts couldn't keep up with him again.
It was the savageness of the limitless physique.
Amon's injuries were now healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
A claw pierced through the back of his robes, dyeing his clothes in blood.
However, Amon casually raised a glance at the beast and forcefully sliced off its hands.
The hand embedded in his back was expelled, and in the blink of an eye, Amon's back was fully healed.
The beasts seemed shocked.
Was Amon still human?
Why was he no different from a star beast?
They had heard about gifts like this, but none of them were this overpowered at such an early age.
Amon didn't care about whatever thoughts they were having.
Taking advantage of the momentary pause in the beasts' movements, he unleashed another sword attack.
Snow drifted about, and the next moment, a beast stiffened in place.
Then it split into three different parts.
Its head fell to the side, then its lower and upper body separated from each other.
"Hahahahahaha!" Amon laughed like a wild beast, clawing at his hair and pulling out strands like a madman, sending a savage chill down the beasts' spines.
"One down… six more to go!"
