Aegon's narrow, golden slits were locked onto Amon, and one could see surprise flickering within them.
It was clear that the dragon was astounded by the drastic change in Amon the moment his killing spree began.
The dragon stared at Amon as he used his hand to rip out the still-beating heart of one of the men.
As the man collapsed to the ground, lifeless, he crushed the heart into a shower of blood.
Although the dragon felt no emotions toward the deaths of the men, he couldn't help feeling worried for Amon as he noticed his state.
Aegon's eyes flickered with calculation as he pondered what to do.
In the meantime, Amon had lost all rationality and all he wanted.
…was to kill to his heart's content.
In the blink of an eye, all the men were dead, leaving only one of them.
Amon had also accumulated more than the required number of creation points, bringing it up to a substantial amount.
The last remaining man stared at Amon in horror and staggered to the edge of the floating clouds.
"Do–don't come any closer or I will jump!" Rather than dying in Amon's hands, the man felt it was better to just jump to his death. That way, at least he would die instantly and not suffer a gruesome destruction at the hands of the demon.
Amon stared at him with his blood-red eyes and slowly approached.
Since he couldn't understand what the man was saying, Amon only continued his even pace toward him.
The man glanced toward the edge of the clouds, noticing the endless space below.
His heart was gripped with fear.
But he felt even more terror falling into Amon's hands.
Without hesitation, he staggered backward and jumped.
As he gazed at the demonic Amon, his eyes were filled with hatred.
Amon's blood-red eyes seemed to show a hint of surprise.
But without hesitation, he vanished from his location and appeared only a few feet in front of the man.
"You demon!" The man's heart leapt up, not expecting Amon to jump with him.
Still, a strange sense of joy swelled within his heart.
"That's right! Demon! Die with me! Fall with me to my death!" As the man shouted loudly, Amon appeared in front of him again with another leap, using his movement technique.
Gripping the man's throat, Amon's face showed some confusion as he noticed the crazed look in his eyes.
Feeling the man gripping his arm with one hand and clutching his body with the other, unwilling to let go, Amon snapped the man's neck without hesitation, twisting it to the side without remorse.
The man's expression became dazed as his eyes lost their luster.
Strangely though, his brows remained furrowed, and his tightened grip on Amon stayed firm.
It was clear that even in death, the subconscious mind of the man wanted to drag Amon down with him.
Amon's red eyes flashed slightly, and the next moment his hand descended onto the man's head.
BANG!
The sound of the collision echoed, and nothing happened.
However, Amon didn't pause.
The next moment, his hand moved at lightning speed.
SLAP!
A thunderous slap echoed through the empty space.
The man's twisted face immediately became unrecognizable, but his grip didn't loosen in the slightest.
Amon narrowed his red eyes and then unleashed a series of slaps onto the man's face.
His already distorted face bent further, and his head tore free, causing blood to spray from the wound like a fountain.
Finally, with the man's head gone, his grip loosened, and his body continued falling.
Even in death, the man's heart was filled with grievance for having to die in such a gruesome manner.
Amon didn't care about whatever thoughts a dead man might have had.
Glancing downward, his mind whirled with thoughts.
He glanced around, trying to figure out a way to survive the fall, but there seemed to be no way.
Just then, a massive shadow loomed over him, then swooped in.
And Amon realized he was now atop the back of a gigantic creature.
His red eyes gleamed with manic light, and without hesitation, he unleashed a thunderous punch toward the back of the massive creature.
"Kill… kill… kill until nothing dares to live!" These words continuously corrupted Amon's mind as he released a series of punches onto the dragon.
'Dad?' Aegon called out, feeling a stinging pain on his back.
Sensing that Amon had lost himself and would continue attacking, the dragon immediately used the Primordial Genesis gift.
Suddenly, Amon paused in his movements, and his eyes regained clarity.
The moment his thoughts cleared, a line of runes was already in front of him.
[Congratulations on creating a D-rank gift: Mental Immunity.]
Amon scanned the gift and realized its use.
Basically, it was something that kept his mind calm at all times and allowed him to control his thoughts.
"Thank you," Amon said to the primordial dragon.
He sat atop the dragon with a warm expression and rubbed its back in delight.
He knew that if it weren't for Aegon creating the gift in time, he would have lost himself completely, only wanting to kill everything and everyone.
Aegon nodded, and a certain warmth bloomed in his chest as a smug smile twisted the dragon's expression.
Looking back on everything he had done, Amon let out a sigh and rubbed his head, feeling that some strands of hair had been pulled out during the earlier battle.
'It's truly too stressful,' Amon felt exasperated as he focused his thoughts inwardly.
The dragon's pace picked up as he continued drifting, allowing Amon the freedom to create his next gift.
With Mental Immunity becoming his seventh gift, Divination naturally became his eighth.
[Congratulations on creating a new D-rank gift: Divination.]
Closing the glowing runes, Amon noticed that a coin had appeared in his hand.
'What's this?' Amon was startled, noticing that the coin was vastly different from the one the granny had given them.
He reached into his pocket and retrieved the other coin, confirming that they weren't the same.
Thoughts surged through Amon's mind as he made a guess.
'Is this coin related to the Divination gift?'
Yes, Amon was aware that there were exceptionally rare gifts that materialized as treasures in the real world, but he never expected Divination to be one of them.
With a speechless expression, Amon tossed the coin upward while asking aloud.
"Is my name Amon?"
The coin flicked up, descended, and landed in his palm.
Amon noticed that on the front of the coin was the head of something resembling a snake, with countless tails springing outward toward the edges.
On the back, the tails seemed to continue, intersecting with one another across its surface.
"Heads?" Amon fell into brief thought.
Then, thinking of something else, he tossed the coin upward again and asked.
"Am I fifteen years old?"
He reached out and caught the coin, noticing that it had turned up yes.
"So in essence, heads for yes and tails for no?" Coming to this realization, Amon grinned and tossed the coin once more.
"Are we heading in the same direction as Helena?"
Anticipation and nervousness welled up in his heart as he caught the coin.
Tails!
Amon's heart skipped a beat.
Just then, his eyes widened as he noticed the coin vanishing into specks of golden light.
"What?" Startled, Amon quickly tried to communicate with the gift mentally.
However, to his shock, the gift had grayed out from his arsenal, and he was unable to access it for the time being.
Stunned, Amon tried to summon the gift again, only to fail miserably.
"What the hell? I can only use it three times?"
Pondering slightly, Amon made a guess.
He would have to wait until tomorrow to confirm whether the gift could be used again.
With a sigh, Amon leaned back against Aegon.
His eyes remained fixed on the endless space above as he patted the dragon to continue moving.
Having paused for Amon's divination, Aegon immediately began flapping his wings.
Just then, two massive palms reached up from below, clawing toward the dragon as if to seize it.
