Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 74: Danger

Just as Amon was relaxing, he felt an unprecedented sense of danger that caused his eyes to widen dramatically as he hastily forced himself up.

'Dad, there's danger!' Aegon called out as he explosively retreated, forcing some distance between himself and the two massive palms.

The massive palms were filled with cracks, and as Amon gazed down, he realized that they seemed to appear from midair, having transcended space to try to grab them.

'Are they so powerful?' Amon's heart shook in alarm as he realized that these gigantic palms were far from ordinary.

The words he had told Aegon entered his mind once more, subconsciously.

'The judgement of gods…'

"Are these really gods?" Amon muttered aloud.

However, Aegon wasn't concerned with his thoughts in the slightest.

The palm on the right reached out to grab Aegon's tail, while the one on the left aimed two fingers toward Aegon's eye.

Instantly, Amon's mind churned, and his remaining 100 creation points vanished into dust.

A sword appeared in his hand as he slashed toward the gigantic palm.

Immediately, cracks spread all through his body, and parts of his arms, legs, and shoulders shattered, causing him to collapse onto the dragon's back.

Heaven rendering sword art!

Forcing all the primordial energy he had, Amon executed this devastating sword art that could render the heavens themselves helpless against him.

Instantly, an immaterial sword light flew from the blade as the sword itself cracked apart and shattered.

Just like that, 100 creation points were gone.

Amon's heart was bleeding, but he watched on to see if he could injure the hand or at least force it back.

The sword light began absorbing the surrounding energy to strengthen itself and started expanding to an exaggerated degree.

Amon stared with wide eyes, his face glowing with excitement as both attacks finally collided.

BANG!

A thunderous explosion resounded from the collision.

However, a dumbfounded look appeared on Amon's face as he saw what transpired.

The hand that was reaching out toward the claw paused in its movements, then reached toward the Heaven Rendering Sword Art and grabbed it before clenching its fist.

Instantly, the sword light collapsed into fragments.

The sight alone shook Amon's heart and filled him with an insane amount of shock.

"How?" Amon's thoughts screamed at him as he noticed the hand clawing toward them once again like it was nothing.

This was the first time Amon's Heaven Rendering Sword Art had failed.

… and it was against the heavens themselves.

Instantly, Amon felt Aegon shrinking at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Because of Aegon's abrupt shrinking, the two palms were caught midair.

Then, with Amon on its small back, occupying all the space, the dragon flipped its wings repeatedly and flew out from there.

Glancing toward the two hands, the dragon's narrow, golden eyes were filled with anger and hatred.

The hatred toward those threatening to kill him and Amon, and causing them to flee like cowards.

And the anger to burn them all to ashes.

Aegon stared at both palms through the corner of his eyes before increasing his speed and explosively vanishing from their line of sight.

As soon as he felt he had gone far enough, the dragon's wings expanded once more, stretching on for meters and widening the place on which Amon lay.

Amon subconsciously rubbed the back of Aegon in gratitude.

This was the second time he had almost lost his life and had been saved by the dragon.

In fact, it wasn't just the second, but Amon didn't want to count the number of times for now.

Reaching into the thoughts in his mind, many ideas briefly flickered within them.

Glancing at his collapsed body, Amon let out a sigh.

'Because my body in this world hasn't been enhanced by the many nutritious beast meats of the real world, this body is frail and weak. To think just one attack almost crushed my body completely.'

Amon felt immense pain coursing through his body.

But the embers of primordial energy still remaining caused the mental immunity gift to be active and reduced the pain he felt.

In truth, it didn't reduce the pain, but altered Amon's sensitivity to it and made him think the pain had lessened to an almost nonexistent extent.

Unable to move his limbs for fear that they might crack apart, Amon remained motionless in the same position as he waited for time to drag on.

At the same time, his mind drifted back to the scene from before.

His helplessness against such a figure.

'Is this how helpless we all are against the heavens?'

Amon's thoughts wandered, and he didn't know when he drifted off to sleep.

By the time he woke up, the skies were still the same, so he didn't know how much time had passed.

The chilling wind blew casually against his skin and caused a smile to form on his face as he felt that a substantial amount of primordial energy had been recovered.

He glanced around for a bit, then activated his healing gift.

Instantly, his healing gift caused the injuries in his body to begin vanishing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Within a few minutes, Amon's primordial energy had almost been exhausted.

But with most of the cracks on his body gone, he sat up and actively began recovering his primordial energy.

Another unknown amount of time passed in this manner as Aegon continued flying around aimlessly.

Suddenly, Amon's eyes shot open as he felt a thought click in his mind.

It was like a sixth sense had been triggered. However, subconsciously, Amon could tell exactly what it meant.

'The eighth gift, divination, is usable again.'

Amon's thoughts instantly drifted into his body as he felt something appear in his hand back in the real world.

Finally, Amon broke out into a cold smile.

"Let's see where you're hiding, Helena."

With that, Amon tossed the ring up without hesitation.

"From my perspective, east is the right direction?"

The moment he asked, Amon's heart immediately began beating for an unknown reason.

He reached out his hand and caught the coin.

Heads!

Instantly, his head snapped toward the east.

"So… she's heading there…" Amon understood as a grin finally curled his lips.

He tossed the coin up once more.

"Whatever she plans to achieve there has to do with the clearance of this star gate?"

Reaching out his hand after a few seconds, he caught the coin and saw the answer.

Another head!

Amon's eyes narrowed slightly.

After a short moment of hesitation, he tossed the coin once more into the sky.

"The place is dangerous. Extremely so, and can endanger my life…"

As soon as Amon finished speaking, he prayed silently for the coin to fall on tails.

A whooshing sound echoed as the coin fell into Amon's hand.

With a nervous expression, he opened his closed palm and noticed the reply.

Heads!

Amon's heart dropped to rock bottom instantly.

His eyes were filled with shock and hesitation.

Many thoughts passed through his mind.

After a long while, he raised his gaze, flickering with resolve, and said:

"Aegon. Head to the east."

'Yes, Dad!' Without hesitation, Aegon flapped his wings and turned toward the left before bursting out with an insane amount of speed.

Helena would have never expected Amon to be so overpowered.

Discern her location and was currently approaching her at lightning speed.
