Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 79: The First C-rank Gifts

Amon stared at the cold-faced beauty for a long time before turning his gaze from her and studying his surroundings.

He glanced around and didn't spot anything worthwhile.

Suddenly, he noticed something similar to a stone not too far away.

It was extremely unremarkable and sat at the edge of the mountain peak.

Only because Amon could feel faint wisps of primordial energy coming from it did he understand that there was something unique about this rock.

He briskly walked toward it and placed his hand on its surface.

Touching it lightly, a familiar voice entered his mind.

It was the voice of the Unfettered One!

'This is the Heaven Creation Stone. Absorb it to increase the rank of your gift by one!'

The words sounded simple, yet it was these exact words that caused Amon's heart to fill with shock.

'The Unfettered One also knows the ranks of gifts? Is he a reincarnator just like me? Or a transmigrator perhaps?'

Recalling that back, Amon didn't think it was something a person from Earth could possess.

He pondered briefly, then shifted his attention to his nine gifts.

Which of them should he choose?

Amon's heart was filled with hesitation.

If he were to upgrade one of his gifts to a higher grade, it had to be one that was extremely useful.

The thing Amon prioritized the most was his strength.

Aside from strength, he also factored in healing.

But strength came first.

There was a long hesitation in Amon's heart before he ultimately settled on the…

…divination gift.

Yes, Amon prioritized strength above all, but even the strongest had been killed off.

Like the Unfettered One. Despite his strength, he had seemingly vanished from the Bermuda World.

Amon could also use the divination gift to spot treasures.

Besides, who knew what effects the divination gift would obtain after its rank increased?

Having made his decision, Amon held the rock in his grasp and began trying to absorb it.

In his mind, he could feel something stirring as a strange energy entered his body.

It was a mix of primordial energy and another energy entirely, one Amon knew nothing about.

From studying star beasts and demon beasts, Amon already knew that there were many kinds of energy.

'Did the Unfettered One also cultivate another energy on the same level as primordial energy?'

The thought felt ridiculous.

Could there be any energy on the primordial level?

He didn't know enough about the world yet, so he decided not to make guesses for now.

'The Unfettered One, huh?' Amon muttered inwardly as he slowly absorbed the strange energy.

Gradually, the rock's size began reducing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Then, Amon felt a strange energy moving throughout his body, as though it were searching for something.

Immediately, a line of runes appeared in his line of sight.

[Heaven Creation Stone is unable to upgrade your gift: Primordial Genesis!]

'Was worth a try…' Amon muttered with some regret.

This slightly confirmed his guess that the energy within the rock was of a lower level than primordial energy.

With that to comfort himself, Amon shifted his attention to the divination gift.

[Divination has been upgraded to C-rank!]

Amon closed the runes and scanned his body.

'I don't feel any changes within me…' His face grew slightly puzzled.

He summoned the coin and stared at it intently.

There seemed to be some minor changes.

The snake head had gained a deeper shade of gold, while the remaining parts of the body remained as dim as before.

Amon turned it over and noticed the coin still appeared the same.

He frowned slightly, then felt some information appear in his mind.

Instantly, his eyes glowed briefly as he realized the changes to his gift.

'It now provides more accurate information?'

Amon was bewildered.

'Does this mean the information from before could have been inaccurate?'

Amon didn't know what to say…

…aside from that, the number of times he could use the coin in a day had increased to five.

It was a pitiful increase, but if used wisely, Amon felt it could save his life at critical moments.

With nothing left to do, Amon glanced around one more time, this time taking a closer look so he wouldn't miss anything.

Spotting nothing of interest, he turned to the divination gift.

"The method to leave the star gate is here!"

After speaking, he tossed the coin into the air.

…and caught it.

Seeing that it had landed on heads, Amon's eyes brightened.

"The method to leave the star gate is on this mountain peak!"

He tossed the coin again and caught it moments later.

Tails.

Amon's lips twitched slightly.

With a thoughtful expression, he pondered briefly.

"The method to leave the star gate is with the villagers from before!"

He caught the coin…

Heads!

Immediately, his eyes brightened.

With a sigh of relief, he put the coin away.

He still had two uses left today.

'It's a little more convenient than before. But more uses will always be better…' Amon lampooned internally with a quiet chuckle.

Turning to his surroundings, Amon glanced around.

Putting on a respectful expression, he bowed solemnly.

"Thank you for your help today, senior. I promise that when I surpass you in strength in the future, I will repay you."

As soon as Amon finished speaking, he gave a second bow, then walked toward the center of the mountain peak where he could see several engravings.

As he tapped his foot, he felt his primordial energy subconsciously activate.

Just as Amon swept a brief glance across the surroundings, he was pulled violently and vanished from the place.

The area remained eerily silent for a long while.

…suddenly, the eyes of the lady in the ice coffin opened, and her gaze seemed to transcend space and time as it landed on Amon.

A dreadful whisper escaped her lips.

"Unfettered… one…? No… someone… different…"

"Accelerate… gods… awakening…" Her voice dragged on, not directed at anyone in particular, yet ripples echoed around her.

Then, the woman closed her eyes, returning to her corpse-like state, and the eerie silence continued.

Unaware of what had transpired after his departure, Amon opened his eyes and realized he had appeared before the half-naked women.

The moment his eyes met theirs, he smiled faintly, an air of superiority clouding his features.

"My lord! What did the Unfettered One have to say?" one of the ladies chatted idly.

Instantly, the leader glared at her, causing her to shut her mouth.

"Please don't mind her, my lord," she forced a smile and said.

Amon stared at her and nodded, shrugging slightly.

"It's nothing. My master told me to retrieve something in the real world."

"Retrieve something?" Although the leader was curious, she didn't dare question his words.

"Please follow us, master. We will lead you out of here to the real world."

"Okay," Amon nodded, but internally he let out a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, everything seemed to be going well.

A dark smile subconsciously played on Amon's lips.

Together with the village head, they followed the trail down the mountain and silently arrived at a starry pond.

Around the pond, multicolored lights glowed softly.

Amon noted an abundance of red lights, along with yellow and even some orange ones.

Startled, he turned to the woman for an explanation.

"Everyone here has no 'soul'. Those lights are the souls of those who've come to this world. Retrieve your soul and head out to the outside world…"

Amon's eyes flickered thoughtfully as he glanced at the women, whose faces were filled with sadness.

It was no wonder they were sad…

As inhabitants of this star gate, they didn't possess a 'soul' from the very start!

It was clear why none of them could leave, despite knowing the method…

'Do star beasts not possess a soul?'

Amon wondered.

Calming his thoughts, he turned gratefully to the women.

"I promise to bring you to the real world with time," Amon said, his voice filled with conviction.

Of course, whether he would accomplish it remained unknown.

…but he felt that with sufficient strength, helping them would be no problem at all.

"Really?"

"Thank you, my lord!" The ladies' eyes brightened at his words.

Amon turned his attention to the pond and scanned the glowing lights.

Suddenly, he felt a connection pulling him toward it…

'My soul…' Amon muttered as he noticed a white object floating peacefully in midair.

It was the only white soul present, and instinctively, Amon knew it was his.

Without hesitation, he used his movement technique and appeared before the soul.

"Stoppp!!!"

A sharp cry tore through the air, and a chilling wave swept by, threatening to engulf everything.

Amon turned around, recognizing the familiar voice.

A faint smile tugged at his lips as he gripped his 'soul'.

'You finally decided to show up, huh?' Amon muttered internally with a smirk.

Helena stared at Amon with shock and anger in her eyes.

It was the first timeL Amon had seen this flawless beauty display such emotions.

"I'll meet you in the real world…" Amon said with a smile and swallowed the 'soul' without delay.

Instantly, his body collapsed into the pond as he was sent to the real world…

"Amonnnnnn!!!!"
