Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 83: Damien's Answer

The roar echoed thunderously in Amon's ears, and then an ear-splitting cry swept through the surroundings.

The next instant, something that looked like a simple ripple flew out from the wooden sword.

Faint cracks appeared around the sword, but Amon wasn't paying attention to it. Rather, his attention was drawn to the mesmerizing sword light.

It had a pale, luminescent blue color that drifted through the surroundings like a spring breeze, and in the blink of an eye, it swept all the way toward the location of a dummy at the edge of the empty courtyard.

Bang!

It collided with the wooden dummy, sending dust and faint gusts of wind flying through the air.

The dummy was obscured for a moment, then soon revealed to Amon.

Amon stared dumbfoundedly at the dummy, which had been drastically damaged, and his expression was far from calm.

Staring at it, he was utterly astounded.

He glanced at Damien, who stared back at him with a smug smile, then looked at the dummy once more.

"So? Did you understand it?" Damien asked curiously…

Amon fell silent once again…

Although he could faintly feel as though he had grasped a little of the battle art, in truth, he completely…

…didn't understand a thing.

In his mind, the battle art was simply too complex.

How could he make his body as stable as a mountain and as fluid as a river at the same time?

It was astounding to even think about.

In fact, Amon felt it was unachievable, at least for now.

'No… I need a new gift!' Amon subconsciously wanted to communicate with the runes when he recalled that he was out of creation points.

If he could get the corresponding creation points, he could create a new gift that would aid him in comprehension.

'This is something I should have created since…' Amon murmured internally, feeling some regret.

Still, since he didn't have any use for such a gift back then, he had dismissed those thoughts.

He pondered for a little while on what to do next.

For now, he would try to understand as much as he could with his limited comprehension. Then, he would look for a way to head out of the academy and obtain the required creation points to create a new gift.

With all this in mind, Amon's heart finally settled.

He glanced at Damien and smiled faintly.

"I understood a little, but please demonstrate it a few more times," Amon stated politely.

Damien nodded with a shrug. "Okay."

After he finished speaking, another loud, thunderous roar rang out as Damien's sword moved at lightning speed.

This time, he deliberately decreased his speed, allowing Amon to see his movements clearly.

Still, Amon was confused internally, not understanding the sword art at all.

The loud noise had already attracted the group of students gathered not too far from them.

They glanced over from the edge of the chained barrier.

At this moment, most of them were no longer paying attention to their instructor, and instead, their focus had been completely drawn to Amon and Damien.

"It's that guy I helped back then," Mei Aiko muttered with a perplexed expression as she stared at Amon.

Intrigued by the technique being displayed, she couldn't help but watch intently.

It wasn't just Amon who was perplexed by the sword art.

In fact, while Amon could faintly understand parts of it, the others could barely comprehend anything at all. After all, Damien wasn't explaining everything to them in detail.

Even if he did, it wouldn't have changed much about the situation.

Damien spared the gathering crowd a glance, then focused back on his display.

After more than five demonstrations, everyone had fallen into a daze.

They were dazzled by the Mountain and River Sword Art.

From the force and fluidity it possessed, they could tell that with a single strike, it could eliminate a star beast.

Staring intently as Damien paused his movements, most of those who practiced sword arts hesitated on whether to head over or not.

Their deliberation lasted for a while before being interrupted by the instructor.

"That's enough spying on others for now! Focus on what I'm teaching you all!" At his words, the students reluctantly turned to face him.

The instructor glanced at them and snorted before continuing his lesson.

Mei Aiko's gaze lingered on Amon briefly.

In a few days, roughly two or three, she would definitely be joining the battle.

'Then, hopefully he'll use that sword art… it would make things a little interesting…' she thought, a faint smirk playing on her lips.

She didn't judge Amon's strength based on the Behemoth Tower, as she wasn't interested in it.

'It's just a game. I don't get why they exaggerate it so much. It's pretty simple. If you're strong, you'll achieve some success, and the same applies if you're weak.'

Mei Aiko was puzzled, but despite that, she still held no interest in the Behemoth Tower.

Time passed silently as Amon and Damien continued their session.

Since Amon found it difficult to comprehend the Mountain and River Sword Art, Damien focused solely on teaching him that.

A few hours later, the students left with their instructor.

Left alone, Amon and Damien continued practicing until the sky darkened considerably.

Amon gazed up at Damien gratefully and grinned.

'Finally acting like an instructor…'

"Thank you for today, Instructor!" he said with a smile.

Damien waved his hand with a shrug.

"In two days, all three classes will clash. The mediocre class has never participated before, but I want you to participate and make those instructors lose face."

"The whole competition has been between the two of them all this while, and… it's a little annoying."

Amon sighed.

In short, Damien wanted him to cause trouble again.

Amon felt speechless at the thought, but with sufficient strength, he smirked.

"In that case, they don't know what's coming for them!"

Seeing Amon agree so easily, Damien's eyes lit up.

Truly, his teaching today hadn't been in vain.

With that, both men bid each other farewell. Damien returned to the classroom, while Amon headed back to his room.

After resting briefly and absorbing primordial energy for a short while, his eyes flashed open as he stood up.

He let out a breath, and his figure faded, vanishing as he activated the invisibility gift.

As Amon left for the ocean to hunt beasts and obtain creation points, he didn't notice a shadow silently following him.

'Strangely, I didn't encounter Helena throughout today,' Amon muttered internally as he headed toward the ocean.

It felt slightly reasonable, as he hadn't seen Natasha either.

Still, he couldn't shake the faint sense of unease in his heart.

Reaching a place that seemed somewhat secluded, Amon took out his divination coin and questioned it as he tossed it into the air.

"Helena is planning something disadvantageous…"

He caught the coin as it landed in his palm and looked at the result.

"Heads…" Amon muttered, a grim expression appearing on his face.

'It seems my guess was right…' Amon felt slightly annoyed at the thought.

Did he have sufficient strength to overcome the coming crisis?

Things were uncertain for now, but Amon felt he could handle it…

'Despite that… I hate being in a passive situation…'

Clenching his teeth, Amon recalled something that had transpired earlier and asked,

"The school head has an incurable sickness…"

He tossed the coin into the air once more.

"The school head has an incurable sickness…"

The moment Amon finished speaking, he tossed the coin into the air…

The coin rotated briefly before coming to a stop on his outstretched palm.

Amon glanced down at it, and his eyes narrowed slightly the moment he stared at it in surprise.

Heads…
