Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 89: Ruthless Skeleton 1

No longer paying attention to the sight that made him, Amon continued on his way without further obstructions.

Along the way, he saw two more skeletons, but after "politely" waving them off, Amon was left to continue on his way alone.

In the blink of an eye, Amon had reached what seemed to be a settlement.

He hesitated for a bit before ultimately deciding not to enter.

'If I had known, I would have lured the skeletons from before here…' Amon thought with some regret.

Still, there was no time for that as he had to focus on the matter at hand now.

He had spent six hours already with no progress. Everything he was doing now, he had to leave no regrets along the way.

After cautioning himself, Amon glanced in the direction of a peculiar gaze he felt staring at him.

A little boy who looked to be around the age of six was staring at the skeleton in curiosity.

Subconsciously, the boy could tell that the intelligence in this skeleton was far from ordinary.

He walked with brisk steps and soon reached Amon's location.

The boy reached out and tried to touch the skeleton a little.

Meanwhile, Amon's eyes instantly lit up.

Using this boy, he could enter into the village.

Wanting to use him as a hostage was a pleasing thought, but Amon quickly ruled it out.

With just the existence of skeletons here, he could tell that this world was far from ordinary.

He didn't want to do anything that would harm him and cost his life.

Thinking along these lines, Amon raised a slightly trembling bony hand and placed it on the boy's head.

The boy froze, feeling a chill crawl up his spine.

But sensing the little warmth buried in the bones, he didn't react and merely let the skeleton caress his hair.

In the meantime, as Amon touched his head, he muttered: "Father said that skeletons have no consciousness in them, however, this one seems to understand a few things… have I stumbled onto a treasure?"

The boy murmured with a faint breath…

He trembled a little in excitement at the thought that he must have found a treasure.

Instantly, he snapped his gaze around. Seeing that no one was looking in their direction, the boy quickly raised his slightly chubby hand to hold the cold, bony skeleton hand.

Then, without much hesitation, he dragged Amon along with him, leading him toward a particular direction.

Amon followed the boy's lead, noting that this was what he wanted.

Finally, he reached the location the boy wanted to drag him to.

"Stay here while I get my father…"

The boy didn't know whether Amon could understand him or not, but as a child without much experience, he didn't think along these lines.

After leaving Amon to himself, the boy swiftly departed at a rapid pace.

Left alone, Amon glanced around occasionally, tapping on his leg bone rhythmically while waiting for the boy to arrive.

Within a few minutes, the boy returned with three men.

Instantly, Amon's heart grew a little tense.

"Randolf, you better have led us here for something good. If I find it to be a waste of my time, you're definitely getting it from me." one of the men roared in anger.

Randolf, a middle-aged man with a kind expression and slightly bulging belly, smiled wryly and turned to his son. "Hopefully you don't put me into trouble since I've decided to trust you this time."

Hearing his words, the men snorted, meanwhile the little boy's eyes glowed with a look of confidence.

Within moments, they reached Amon's location.

"This the skeleton you said has intelligence? Looks pretty dumb to me!"

One of the men approached Amon and slapped his skull lightly.

Amon felt no feeling from the slap and continued staring blankly for a few seconds.

After which he finally moved.

Bending down, he began scribbling on the ground.

"I'm searching for the most unique treasure here…"

If Amon's guess wasn't wrong, all he had to do was find a unique treasure here.

It was the same thing he had done in the previous star gate.

Still, there, Helena was there to "guide" him, but here… he had to do it all on his own.

'Wait, guide!' Amon's eyes suddenly lit up as he thought of the template for a new gift.

If he couldn't find the answer due to insufficient time, why not guide the answer to come and look for him?

It sounded absurd, but with Amon's Endless Creation which could literally create anything…

Even if the gift had never existed before, he could make it feasible.

Amon's eyes lit up instantly, and without hesitation, he put his thoughts into action.

However, before he could make a move, he was interrupted by loud laughter erupting from the side.

"The most unique treasure?" both men looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

Their laughter lasted for a few seconds before they calmed themselves and stared at the man and his son like they were a joke.

"Are you guys trying to pull a fast one on us? The most unique treasure is with the ruler. What would the ruler be doing here?"

He glanced at the skeleton and slapped it again.

No longer paying attention to the man and his son, they turned around and left the location.

The old man had some regret in his eyes, but he still called the two men.

"Please wait. Truly, my son did find something useful. Have you even seen a skeleton that can write?"

His words caused the two men to pause, and they turned to look at Amon, their eyes glinting ferociously.

"That's right, I completely forgot about that!" the first man widened his eyes and then glared at his comrade.

His comrade licked his lips in greed.

"If I can give this skeleton to the ruler or uncover its secrets… this is basically a one way ticket to changing our lives…"

His words caused everyone's eyes to widen, but Amon's expression only darkened by the second.

"Exactly! In that case we can all become rich!" Randolf grinned and finally exclaimed.

Both men exchanged glances, then the first one sneered.

"We?" As he finished speaking, he reached behind him and took out something akin to a dagger.

"You… what?" Randolf stammered as the man rushed toward him.

"Silence his son." The man charging at Randolf gave the order, causing his comrade to nod and take out something from his waist.

It was similarly a gleaming dagger.

With the dagger glinting ferociously, he approached the boy whose face had already turned ghastly pale in fright.

The boy stammered, retreating repeatedly.

Watching this sight, Amon let out a sigh…

"Humans and greed." he tried to say, but only a scraping noise came out from his mouth.

Since he didn't want to waste time writing, Amon reached into his Primordial Core.

Just like before, he only had access to the one that Aegon was in.

Perhaps due to the fact that none of the forces behind the star gates dared tamper with Aegon, they didn't restrict its place of stay.

Of course, it was all to Amon's benefit.

With another sigh, Amon stretched his hand.

Instantly, blue flames poured out and screams echoed throughout the location.
