After he was done dealing with both men, which barely took a few seconds, Amon glanced at the father and son and shook his head before writing on the ground.
"I'm only sparing you because of your son. Try to live a good life…" At his words, the man stammered and his face flushed in embarrassment.
After thanking Amon profusely, he held his son beside him and retreated far away.
Meanwhile, the little boy glanced at Amon with some reluctance in his eyes.
Amon shrugged and returned a cold, emotionless stare back at the little boy.
After the two vanished, Amon felt a slight string connecting him to something begin to form.
Amon was a little startled, feeling that this string was extremely mysterious and he couldn't tell the origin of it…
Sensing that it wasn't harmful to him, Amon immediately communicated with the Primordial Genesis gift and began forming something in his mind.
Soon, a new gift carved itself into his thoughts.
[Detected a new gift: Karmic Link. Do you wish to proceed with creation?]
'Life truly is unpredictable…' Amon mused with a sigh.
He had expected to create a gift that would aid him in comprehension, only for him to end up creating a gift that would link him to karma.
Amon let out an exasperated sigh and immediately nodded.
Instantly, 500 creation points vanished, leaving him with 126.
After they vanished, a new line of runes appeared in front of Amon.
[Succeeded in creating a new gift: Karmic Link. Rank is set to D by default.]
Amon glanced around and immediately activated his gift.
Instantly, his mana drained at an alarming rate.
This gift, based on how Amon crafted it, was meant to link him through karma and attract whatever Amon desired to himself.
In this case, Amon communicated with his gift and decided to link the exact clearing method to him.
After he was done, Amon felt a little mentally exhausted.
Still, he felt as though a connection to something had appeared in his mind.
'I can only wait and see if it's helpful… and who's that they mentioned? The ruler? What's that about?'
Amon had a few questions but didn't know where to ask them.
For now, there were about seventeen hours left, which he spent waiting.
Time slowly dragged on as the skies began to darken.
Amon counted and noted that the time had only grown more.
He let out a breath and remained still…
Waiting for the answer to come to him.
After another short few minutes of waiting, Amon suddenly felt a slight ripple.
His eyes widened slightly and the darkening skies turned pitch black immediately.
'This feeling…' Amon felt a dreadful sensation surge into his heart.
Struggling, he looked up.
Immediately, he felt his heart skip a beat as he noticed a massive skeleton approaching.
Around the skeleton were intricately lined jewels.
"The ruler!!!"
"Why is the ruler here???" Multiple voices rang out from the surroundings, causing everyone to look up at the skies in shock.
Everyone was asking themselves the same thing. What was the ruler doing here?
Thunderous sounds echoed as the ruler walked about without a direction in mind.
Suddenly, he just felt like taking a walk today, without a care in the world.
Being the strongest person here, he didn't care much about the lives of others.
Because of this, along the way he crushed a few humans and skeletons alike under his foot.
Amon felt a tremendous suppression stemming from his skeletal lineage crash onto him.
Suddenly, one of the jewels atop the skeleton's body seemed to lose hold of its intricate slot and fell freely toward Amon's direction.
Amon's eyes shot up in shock as the jewel plummeted sharply.
Still, the ruler didn't seem to care. Instead, he shifted his attention around.
Taking in the faint sight of the energy of death and life filling the surroundings.
Bang!
The treasure landed in front of Amon, and he couldn't help reaching out to touch it.
The treasure was a pale shade of yellow and brown, and there was also a strange lingering energy about the yellow jade.
The moment Amon's hand came in contact with the treasure, he felt as though his mind had been lit on fire.
Shocked, Amon quickly tried to retract his hand but found that he couldn't.
Suddenly, his thoughts grew hazy, causing Amon to gradually lose his consciousness.
Amon felt everything around him grow quiet for a long while before the sound of digging echoed in his ears.
The sound resounded constantly, and within moments, Amon felt a faint light caress his face.
Amon instantly sat up, feeling like he had been dead for some time.
'Damnation!' Amon cursed internally as he gripped his artifact tightly.
Thankfully, it seemed he hadn't been tampered with, but Amon couldn't help feeling a chill crawl up his spine.
He glanced in the direction of the source of light and noticed something that seemed like a potion bottle.
'Is that what can cure Natasha?' Amon muttered to himself in his mind and leaped out from the grave.
Then, he approached it without hesitation.
With his gaze affixed on it, he approached.
He noticed the contract paper burning lightly.
Suddenly, the dark place brightened.
Immediately, streaks of lightning that seemed like a dragon streaked through the skies, crackling with fury.
Shocked, Amon quickly glanced up.
Under the bright illumination of the thunder, Amon noticed gigantic figures as big as mountains moving about and doing their activities.
At the same time, there were silhouettes of monstrous creatures not too far away.
There were those with worms creeping out of them and some with hideous, gruesome appearances.
Amon stared at the whole scene in a daze with widened eyes.
His whole body seemed to freeze, and he didn't realize that the lightning dragon was crashing heavily toward him.
At that moment, a faint shadow of a door appeared and a casual young man stepped through it.
His expression was calm, but he instantly became shocked the moment he laid eyes on the lightning dragon crashing toward Amon.
Dumbfounded, he immediately took out a token and crushed it.
This was a token given by the main body, and he wasn't supposed to use it, but without it, he could tell that Amon would undoubtedly die!
Instantly, he communicated the details to the main body, and a hand that seemed to traverse through space and time appeared before landing on the lightning dragon.
The hand slapped the lightning dragon, causing a stunned expression to appear on its face.
The next instant, the lightning dragon slowly dissipated into a cloud of smoke.
Suddenly, an even more terrifying aura began condensing in the clouds.
A faint sigh echoed through the void and then, the skies grew calm once again.
Damien's eyes instantly became solemn.
'He hid him from the prying of the gods?'
Truly, Damien was shocked, not expecting the situation to be so serious already.
Amon finally recovered himself and broke out into a cold sweat.
He noticed Damien, who had a serious expression on his face.
"Instructor Damien… what happened?"
At his words, Damien rubbed his temple in frustration and exhaled.
"You brat, you're truly more troublesome than I was back in my prime. You make me quite jealous… come, let's head back first."
Amon nodded immediately and was led by Damien through the door, back to the real world.
The moment Amon appeared, he noticed that the whole place was slightly darkened, a sign that it was already evening.
