Fuyu looked around himself, the trees and bushes were surrounding him. Minimal light, colored orange as the sun was setting down, was illuminating the surroundings a bit. Fuyu was concerned about the things ahead because, along the way while following the river back, he typically got lost if he didn't return following the exact pattern he came by. If he didn't, he wouldn't even be able to return. Along the way, he had encountered several animals like a small rabbit, different kinds of birds, and the most terrifying thing that made him scared were snakes wiggling around in the soil.
"Stop wasting time, and start the expedition. Time is ticking down, and the darkness will soon take over," Vasana warned him in his mind. Fuyu's breathing was still heavy.
"I am tired, I want to sleep in the hut. Probably losing my essence to Aunt Lyra got me this tired, but it can't be helped," Fuyu thought as he got up from resting and started to look around in the bushes for the herbs and flowers he had learned about that grow at low altitudes.
As Fuyu got immersed in exploring the surroundings, time slipped by, and one hour passed instantly. The sun went down completely as darkness spread across the forest, and the sounds of several beasts roaring were coming. Fuyu typically wasn't able to detect where the correct path he had come from was, as the darkness was too much. Plus, those branches, leaves, and trees sometimes suddenly made Fuyu feel like someone was staring at him with a lunatic beast's gaze. It was so terrifying that Fuyu was unable to decide whether to continue finding his way to the exit from this forest or spend the night in a safe place somewhere. He was even feeling very cold, and insects were getting all over his body, even though he wore leaf clothes.
"Vasana, because of you, I got into this situation. I can't even get out of here. Do you realize what my family members must be thinking? I am sure they would be worried as hell, and here I am, unable to even recognize the way back, especially since this darkness is making me unable to find the way. And these insects!" Fuyu said with a sigh as he slapped his neck where some insects were crawling. He was really feeling bad about his mother and others who would be getting concerned for nothing.
"It's your fault. Why haven't you remembered the way? You were given the ability to remember many things with ease," Vasana replied in a cold tone. Fuyu was about to say something, but suddenly a branch struck his forehead, and waves of pain lingered across it.
"Ah... ouch... fuck... this..." Fuyu said in a low tone as he grabbed his forehead in pain, but suddenly his eyes saw something that caught his attention. Behind the bushes and branches, a dim deep violet light was illuminating the darkness. An extremely beautiful and magical phenomenon was taking place in the silence of the darkness. This captivating scene instantly drew Fuyu's eyes.
He instantly became mesmerized by the beautiful phenomenon of the multiple flowers that were planted there and were glowing a deep violet color. Fuyu went forward to take a good look at it. Vasana's voice came into his mind: "You got the flower."
"What? This is Nil Kamal Pusp, but how? Isn't it blue in color?" Fuyu asked Vasana. She answered him that it was blue by day and illuminated deep violet at night.
"You are saying I forgot to learn this crucial detail—that it glows at night? But whatever, how the heck is it glowing like that? It's so beautiful," Fuyu asked, as he had never even imagined seeing something this unusual. If he took this flower home with him, he wouldn't even need to worry about light at nighttime.
"It's nothing to be surprised about. Everything mentioned in the Sutra of Human Scriptures was magical and spiritual, filled with powers, which is why it's mentioned there. There are many other herbs in this world, but only top-tier herbs with spiritual content were mentioned there. As for how it is glowing? In the daytime, it collects the spiritual energy present on the planet, and at night, it releases the excess energy that it doesn't need to grow," Vasana explained. Everywhere in this world had spiritual energy. Fuyu could become powerful enough to transcend by just cultivating like a normal person, but it would take hundreds of years to be able to transcend, while dual cultivation was an easier technique, which is why he was practicing it.
"I see... huh? Aaghhhhhh..." Fuyu was calm and composed at this moment and was completely engaged with this flower, but suddenly something thick, soft, and big fell directly around his neck. It felt like a large snake, like an anaconda, had fallen on him. The thing that Fuyu feared the most was snakes, and the thought that an anaconda got to him. He instinctively screamed at the top of his lungs as he automatically removed the thing on top of him, but the fear was so much that he couldn't help but run toward the flower for light. His heartbeat fastened as if he had been running for days, and adrenaline spread across his body like wildfire. Fuyu wasn't able to control his movements; his mind and body were thinking of only one thing: to run from the danger. Without thinking much, he ran as if there was no tomorrow.
"Sto..." Vasana's voice came into his mind, but before he could think much about it, the ground beneath him disappeared, and a loud splashing sound came. Fuyu had directly fallen into the river; he had jumped from a great height. He wasn't fully aware enough to evaluate the situation, but one thing was sure: he was in big trouble. The current of the water here was quite fast, dragging him along, and the edge was nowhere to be found. Fuyu's adrenaline was keeping him awake in this serious situation while he constantly tried to keep his face above the water and save himself from drowning.
An unknown amount of time went by while he was trying to find something that could help him get to land, which felt like a lifetime to him. Fuyu finally collided with the shores or bank of the river as he instantly grabbed a handful of grass around it, thankfully where the current was a bit slower. As he got onto the land, he immediately went unconscious, his body laid down on the soil. He had no awareness of the surroundings, as the adrenaline had crashed, leaving him unaware.
Time went by as the chirp of birds and the sound of flowing water came. Fuyu's ears caught some noises as he finally became aware of his surroundings. His eyes opened, and he saw the sun had already risen; the sunlight got into his eyes as a human voice came into his ears.
"Huh... he woke up," a sweet, feminine voice came, and Fuyu's eyes fell on the girl in front of him who was staring at him with wide, curiosity-filled eyes.
"You... who are you?" But before Fuyu could ask anything, another female voice came, and a sharp-tipped stick directly came near Fuyu's eyes, which genuinely caught Fuyu by surprise. He immediately crawled backward to maintain a safe distance. Looking at them, the two beautiful girls were standing in front of him with minimal clothes made of something he had never seen (it was actually fabric). The young girls were beautiful and hot-looking in those clothes, and Fuyu's 'thing' got bricked up immediately, even in this unknown situation, which immediately caught the attention of both girls. One of the girls with green hair and red eyes screamed in surprise as she covered her face with both of her palms, but lightly peeking between her slender fingers, while the other one, with the same hair and eyes but with a mature woman's charm, took an attacking stance with the stick, saying:
"See, I told you, Fiona, he is a pervert who was sneakily peeping on the girls here. Let me teach this bastard a good lesson." Anasha Val said in anger. Without any second thought, she swung the stick toward him, and it made contact with Fuyu's arm, sending sharp pain. This made Fuyu shout in pain. He immediately tried to stop her, seeing that she didn't listen to him at all and was preparing another attack. He immediately got up and was about to run, but before he could run, the stick landed directly on Fuyu's butt, and the sharp pain lingered through his butt, making him run faster.
"Where are you going, you pervert? Hahaha..." The girl laughed heartily with satisfaction, seeing the boy run like a rat. She also ran behind Fuyu. When he saw her coming toward him with the stick in her hand, it was really something Fuyu wasn't prepared for. His instinct was only making him run; he wasn't using his brain at all, thinking he could outrun them. Seeing her sister Anasha Val running toward that stranger boy, she couldn't help but follow them.
