I shook my head to clear my thoughts as the cold once more invaded my senses, making me jump to follow Rivi onto the adjacent sun stone.
Sun stones were magically infused stones that were meant to emulate the feeling of sunbathing on a warm day. Initially when Rivi had told me about them I had expected it to just be a warm rock, and I was naturally rather concerned that only one side of me could be heated at a time, and that being stones they might not be that comfortable.
Thankfully, both of my worries were proved wrong the moment I layed down on the stone. "Ahhhhh" I followed Rivi's lead in melting onto the sun stone as warmth flooded my whole body. It didn't feel like lying down on a warm rock, it felt like being bathed in liquid sunlight. Warmth wrapped softly around me, infusing every fiber of my being, quickly driving the cold away in a flood of golden energy.
Soon the warmth wrapping around me overcame my prior hypothermia, the soft golden light turning fiery as my body rapidly heated up. Starting from the outer edges of my skin I felt like my body started to light on fire, but the sensation, while rather intense, was strangely not painful or even all that uncomfortable. Phantom fires twirled inwards, driving deeper and deeper into my body, and I felt dark shadows squirming under the fiery warmth, being driven away by the encroaching light. I squirmed a little restlessly on the stone, but ultimately stayed put as I was more and more addicted to the overwhelming feeling of warmth flooding over me after the brutality of the ice bath.
"Ah? Ahhhh," I felt the shadows being expelled from my body one by one, until the last wisp vanished and I felt like I was left adrift on an endless golden sea. "This feels so nice," I sighed. "Ah?" I felt hands on my back gently nudging me.
"It's time to get off," Rivi whispered softly.
"Mm?" I opened my eyes, bringing me back to the snow house the stones were layed in. "What happened? Are we done?"
"Mhmm," Rivi nodded. "It's not good to stay on them too long after your impurities are expunged."
"Impur—what?" I got up now, and to my horror, saw that most of my skin was coated in a black, oily substance that felt vaguely sticky upon contact.
"What the f**k!?"
Rivi chuckled. "The purpose of the ice-stone ritual is to expunge impurities. You probably felt them during the sun bathing, like little shadows?"
"Oooh…why didn't you tell me before?" I frowned trying to shake off some of the black oily substance, feeling more and more disgusted with it coating my skin.
"Come on, let's go bathe." She grabbed my hand again, and I immediately flushed red. Ahh, I wish this gunk weren't here so I could feel her soft skin again…I blinked Ahhh, why do I keep thinking like this!?
She led me to a room full of showers, and all of a sudden I noticed that while I was coated in black, sticky goo, Rivi was as clean as a baby. "wh-did you get out so much sooner that you already rinsed off, or…?" I looked at her confused.
"I'm an incarnation of a goddess, silly, I don't have impurities."
I blinked. "Oh. Huh."
She chuckled. "Now," She sat me down underneath a shower head. "Lean your head back, and let me get started."
I did as she told me and soon the warm water was pouring down over my head. "Why are you the one washing me?" I murmured as I felt her soft soapy fingers start to kneed at my scalp.
"What do you want one of the Grenir to come and do it for you?"
I shook my head. "But I could do it myself," I grumbled, still not giving up.
She stopped washing my hair for a moment. "So…do you want me to stop?" My scalp tingled under the absence of her soft fingers.
I gave a childish frown, then dipped my head. "No." I finally said, my toes curling in embarrassment.
She grinned. "Then stop complaining," She continued washing my hair. Soon rinsing the soap out, and starting on my shoulders and arms.
"How do I even have so many impurities. Wasn't I, like, just born? And I'm an undead, right? Do undead really get impurities the same way mortals do?"
Rivi exhaled softly close to my skin, as she rubbed down my arms, and I tried to ignore the heat in the tips of my pointed ears. "You're a Night Mistress. Don't think your body is like any old undead. Actually impurity treatments are all the more important for us, because the clash between our different natures can give rise to a lot more impurities than most people have to deal with."
"Huh," I closed my eyes as she began rubbing my back with her soft, delicate fingers. Oh my god, what are we going to do about the front, surely not, right…? I started panicking a bit. Ah, Rivi I'm not ready for this yet! Wait, ready for what? Ahhh, I'm going crazy.
She finished my back as my thoughts were spiralling, and I froze. "Ah, Rivi" I turned to her, blocking her hand, so she couldn't start on the front. "Um, l-let me do the front, please."
"Ehh?" She gave me a mischievous grin. "Alright, if that's what you want." She handed me the sponge she'd been using alongside her hands, and I breathed a sigh of relief as I began scrubbing myself.
Speaking of, though…I still haven't been in this body that long, and so even though I'm just touching myself it still does feel a bit…provocative. I blinked, trying not to think of anything as I squeezed and rubbed at my two soft melons. God, the texture is just so good, though…Nope! They're clean! Moving on!
I started rubbing furiously at my thighs and legs to get rid of the impure thoughts that kept cropping up in my head. I am one with the force and the force is with me, I am…wait, why is that the first thing my head goes to? Was I really this secular in my last life!? I shook my head, as I finished scrubbing my legs. "All done," I sighed in relief.
