Demon's gaze focused on the sorry figure of a demon sitting on the dirt ground!! ...

Head lowered! Back leaning against the bricked wall of a three-storey building! A store that worked both as a place where one could easily buy and sell questionable things! The while keeping there identities totally anonymous!

Additionally in this particular area of Erythron there was barely any crowd!! ...

As this section of the city was filled with quiet a nasty bunch of demons with whom only an idiot would agree to share space or even live with!

And this was a literal statement! As here every demon was plagued by atleast a two or three of there resentments and grudges! Meaning none of these demons were in there right mind! And there nefariousity was also quite well known amongst the normal inhabitants of Erythron!

Another reason why none of them or any other sane individual for that matter preferred to live here!! ...

The atmosphere of this place was thick! Curreptive and reeked of malice!! ...

A tangible malicious intent that- Like a cursed soul kept whispering in once mind to either harm oneself! The material things or the peoples around him!

It was a Hellish symphony that scratched at once heart ceaselessly! Currepting there thoughts with but only one intent- That is to cause and spread utter destruction and devastation all over!

In the simplest terms this section could be said to be the slums of Erythron! A grim place of malice and a palpable resentment where the most wicked and the evilest of the demons of the city lived!

Then again this too wasn't anything new either! As every Mortal cities in the realm at least had 2 to three of these sections in themselves!

However as Erythron was one of the higher tiered once! Therefore it only had a one single section where slums existed!

Anyways the Men that had caught Demon's curiosity wasn't even worthy to be called a demon in his eyes! Frankly he was pathetic! A pure garbage! A trash even!

That being said the raw hatred Demon saw in the man's deep-dark green eyes!! ...

The sheer wrath that flickered with his presence! The bleeding grievances in his soul! The regret in his mind and his self blaming heart!

These negative emotions were what caught Demon's attention! They were so condensed around the figure! That the incorporeal emotions actually morphed and gave form to a tangible aura around him!

A presence so dense that it even started affecting the man's immediate surroundings!! ...

"Interesting! For a mortal to have such a deep hatred! A desire for vengeance! The conscious of an inescapable reality! And the weight of a broken soul!! ...

Truly marvelous!! ...

Anyhow the negativity is still bland! Lacklustre! Tasteless! Even dull and boring! It isn't upto scale! And still isn't dense and pure enough! Besides there is still Hope in him!! ...

However if he was someone two phases stronger with his Hope crushed! Even becoming hopelessness and also with despair coming into the mix!! ...

Then only would his soul have been something worth a taste! Like a sugarless dessert or something similar which would've been nice treat for Pride who loves the taste of despair!! ...

But one certainly not for Me!!~~ "

Vanessa evaluated! Her lips curled with part amazement and part amusement! As she gave her own opinion on the miserable Mortal!

"True! But for Pride to actually appreciate the taste! The soul needs to be a True Demon God at the bare minimum or atleast someone perhaps a Demon God with strength equivalent to even a normal True Demon God!! ...

Then there is Violet too! Who also loves the taste of despair and terror! Though I think her favorite is the despair that is sourced from powerlessness and resignation! And terror that is sourced from absolutely and dominatingly crushed pride!! ...

Hm!.. Never mind forget that! We aren't here for this!!~~ "

Demon nodded! Afterwards with a smile- He started walking towards the man! And considering his own presence wasn't something anyone was even capable of ignoring!

Therefore the demon despite wallowing in his depression still noticed Demon's approach! He raised his head in a robotic motion!

Through which his hollow eyes- concealed by his dark greenish-black disheveled hair! Matched with Demon's curious crimson gaze! As he came to a stop before him!

His presence towering! Looming even foreboding!! ...

Making the nerves in his body go taut and sang in alarm! As despite Demon's amicable smile- The broken man couldn't stop his heart from palpitating! As the smile only worked inversely- giving him shivers!

Even giving form to a primal fear that abruptly overtook his mind! Something that came from his very blood!! ...

And had him consumed whole within seconds! Where each one felt more suffocating then the previous! Instantly his indifferent expression cracked!

"W-Wa-What!!?" He growled! Eying the two Ancient Demons with absolute caution!! ...

"Who are you!?" He demanded! His voice quavering! His tone hoarse! Fractured and fearful! Making his presence fluctuate with sensations reflection his current unstable emotional state!

"Who we are is of no importance to you Mortal instead why don't you say who you are!? Introduce yourself!!~~ "

Vanessa narrowed her gaze! Her voice cold but understanding that her Master was interested in him! She let him off the hook!

"Indeed if you prove to be entertaining enough! Then I might just give you the exact thing that you need to realize your so-called vengeance child!!...

Which is nothing but a fantastical dream as you are right now!!"

The demon shuddered! Feeling cold in fear!! ...

However what was even more frightening for him was the sensation of his own blood and soul working out of his command! His own Will! They actually screamed at him to prostate! To obey and answer!

The sheer intensity of this submissive sensation his heart was feeling currently wasn't something he had ever experienced in his life!

Not even in the past when he stood before actual Grand Dukes and Archdemons!! —

Individuals at the second and third rank of the second phase of Ascension respectively! Moreover it was a feeling his broken self could never resist either!

Anyways he doubted even if he was normal! Someone not consumed by his raw grudges and uninjured- He would've ever succeed in resisting this feeling even then! A revering sensation that came from somewhere deep within his very being! His existence!

A place which even he couldn't tell where!! ...

"M-My name!.. I-I'm Aethrox Blazeshade! And though I'm a Dark-Emberborn yet about 30 percent of My bloodline is of a Shadowblight Demon!!...

My mother was one so I got this blood from her! And I'm very proud of that! Her blood had helped me survive on countless of occasions! But in the end!!... "

Aethrox Blazeshade introduced himself! Initially- He stammered! As the fear and awe was still present! Because of which he didn't even dare match his gaze with them anymore!

Nonetheless at the end he just couldn't stop his voice from going dejected! As he looked at his current pathetic state! Aside from his disheveled hair! There was not much difference between him and a beggar!

Though his dress wasn't a problem! As besides a few small tears here and there! It was perfectly fine! However the wounds he had on himself certainly cut him a sorry figure!

He was from head to toe thoroughly covered in his own dried blood! There were shallow bruises and mild cuts on his face! Deep gashes on his front and back torso clearly visible!

His right shoulder bone had been totally fragmented whereas his left hand also wasn't in much of a good condition so to say!

And the most prominent of all- His core was damaged very badly in fact! That was the main reason why he couldn't clean himself! Materialise himself some proper clothes!

And most of all why he wasn't capable of healing his injuries!! ...

Because as a Great Demon- someone at the ninth rank of the first phase of Ascension! His regeneration was perfectly capable of healing all his injuries within mere tens of seconds! Considering there was no foreign energy wreaking havoc in his body!

As if there was then he would've surely died a very long time ago!! ...

Abruptly Aethrox Blazeshade clenched his fists! Even biting his dry lips hard enough that they fractured! His blood coming out! As he tried to suppress the hatred that sought to swallow him whole again!

It took him a few seconds but he managed to control himself! Subsequently he refocused on the two unknown Demons! Cautiously awaiting there response!

Besides Aethrox Blazeshade truly believed Demon's previous words! Where Demon said that he would give Aethrox his vengeance!

If he was entertaining enough!! ...

And despite the words Aethrox didn't find his statement the slightest bit offensive or demeaning to his pride! Then again the current him genuinely couldn't be said to have any pride left within him!

Certainly not after what had happened with him!! ...

However as his eyes landed on Demon and Vanessa's gaze! Abruptly his pupils dilated while his body completely foze! He was in shock on seeing the sheer disgust in Vanessa's gaze!

It couldn't be anymore obvious then it already was! He shivered again! Not compherending the reason behind her sudden change!

And from the side of his quavering eyes! He also glanced at Demon!! ...

To notice that his gaze though not reflecting any sort of disgust for him! Still it sure had gone extremely cold and indifferent!

"So you're a hybrid! Huh!?" ... ... ... ... ...
