Abruptly, the towering flames, with a tumultuous outburst began to shrink.
The heat compressed and the flames condensed. The intensity grew while the size reduced. The bluish-black hue gaining a dark-reddish tinge to it. Everything occurred within seconds.
And than suddenly, the thirty meters towering firestorm had condensed into a three meter tall flaming cocoon. The moment it was formed, it solidified.
The flames, which generally could not be categorized in any state of matter, liquidized. Being near a solid plasmic state but still not there.
The cocoon thrummed with unique and peculiar pyrotic Demonic Energy waves on the visible surroundings, waves which flickered on a quantum level. However, the nanostructure of these quiet and imperceptible waves was so dense and imbalanced that the juxtaposition between the two actually made the waves became perceivable to even the normal mortal eyes.
Nonetheless, before anyone else could even properly perceive this uniqueness of the condensed flames, the waves quickly dispersed because of the imbalance, and with a rumbling puff, the cocoon too collapsed and imploded on itself.
Everything happened so quickly and suddenly, that none had the luxury to even compherend what just happened except for them two of course.
That being said, one which had collapsed was but an empty shell, as the uncountable embers from the implosion fell to the surrounding ground, in the middle and instead of that cocoon, now stood a 250 centimeters tall incandescent flaming giant.
One made from flames as deep as the abyss, rippling with the essence of a demon; Destruction itself.
The giant had two demonic horns of dark-red and black of about half a meters long, they protuded from his bluish-black corporeal forehead, curving forward, pointing sideways and than arching backward.
His two piercing almond-shaped bluish-red eyes, glowed dangerously. His reptilian slit, slitted, focused intently. His whole upper body was bare with the condensed flames churning fiercely.
Down below, he was covered by the fury of the flames themselves. His hair were long, flaring ceaselessly. His presence was dense and cataclysmic, one which made every mortal demon coming in contact with it to shiver in absolute fright.
For the weaker ones, it was pure horror whereas for the Nobel Demons, it was still a frightful experience on feeling their hearts throb with fear on feeling the presence of one weaker than them.
But that only goes to show that the ability being used wasn't a normal one.
And naturally, this realization made many expressions go ugly for there was no way for them mortals to fulfill their greed and get their hands on the marvelous ability.
Aynz o'roth opened his mouth, breathing out a steamy exhale of dense fire. "You see me now, worm; this is the difference between me and you.
There is no comparison, where I'm someone ment to rule and ascend to Godhood, you are nothing but a mere worm, a distasteful maggot destined to crawl forever."
He smirked. His voice hoarse, heavy and deep.
"Ooh! Am I really though!" Demon raised his brow. "I imagined that after growing your physique, you would've also gained some form of intelligence because of your brain size also increasing along with your body.
But, boy was I wrong... " He shook his head. Waving his hand slightly.
"Don't you see that I have hands and legs and a even perfectly functioning body, so where did you get the idea that I'm a worm despite these obvious evidences indicating otherwise."
His lips curled. His voice dripping with amusement which was taken as mockery by the others. "Now, that's a new low even for someone with a low intelligence.
So disappointing!"
At his words, Aynz o'roth merely stared at him.
There was no change in his expression nor was there any disturbance in the behavior of his flames, which was his whole body, both physically and metaphysically.
"Worm, you can blabber all you want but your words would never have any affect on me. How can I be bothered by what a worm thinks or speaks anyways, that is something which would be really unintelligent of me. Nonetheless,"
His hand moved forward, and below his open palm formed a small ball of condensed fire, which gradually enlargened in a horizontal shape with one edge pointing towards him and the other towards Demon and Vanessa.
"For the audacity you've shown towards me,"
The edge pointing forward, suddenly shifted, the flames began advancing perpendicularly to the handle forward, taking the form of a sharp curved blade.
"You shall die...!"
It was a scythe. One which had been engulfed by the flames, was now produced by them and even enhanced and augmented by them. The weapon made of plasmic flames sung a devastation seen by none.
It was dreadful, almost soul chilling and paralysing. Making many gulp, and pray to never be on the receiving side of this demonic intent.
The whole square had gone silent. None spoke as the calm rumble of the flaming giant echoed over.
"You can feel proud worm, as the one ending the miserable you is the benevolent me! Aynz o'roth.
The one and only sole inheritor of the Archdemon Eshborn. My dead Master, one who died while pursuing the path towards the most destructive flames. And although he failed, but I'm different, I will most definitely succeed- no! I'm one destined to succeed.
Therefore, rejoice worm, you will meet your ultimate doom by the hands of a Legend, but do not worry, as I will take good care of that maid of yours.
Than again, I'm also sure, such a gorgeous woman would feel much more honored and pleased to serve me rather than a worm like you!... Hahaha!... "
He laughed boisterously for a good few seconds. But then, his gaze flashed.
"Now die!.. "
His hand moved while his giant body shot forward with a speed perceived by not many. His scythe came, cleaving the air in a vertical arc, yet when he hadn't even covered a tenth of the distance between him and Demon -
"Nooo!... "
"We can't let him die!... "
*Booom!!~~*
The panicked shouts echoed!
And with three more consecutive booms, on landed four figures on the ground between Aynz and Demon.
The action causing the earth to tremble and the shockwaves of the impact throwing Aynz's body backward. His internals, though nothing but mere condensed and compressed liquidized flames, quaked with him coughing a mouthful of blood while mid-flight.
Which again was nothing, but small embers of bluish-black dark-red fragmented flames that dispersed as quickly as they came out of his mouth.
However, while still in flight; Aynz's corporeal neck formed of flames was abruptly grabbed by one of the four.
Moreover, with a sudden, quick and powerful jerk; the momentum of his flight was eliminated, his body came to a complete stop. Subsequently, the firm grip over him was released, making the gravity do its natural work.
Accordingly, the 2.5 meters tall giant body hit the ground with a loud thud, causing the nearby flames to go dim and quiet for an instance.
Aynz o'roth grunted. Mind disoriented, disorganized and confused.
Not understanding what just happened to him, nevertheless, he could feel his Demonic Energy going out of his control and haywire, wracking his body.
And despite his disorientation; Aynz wholly knew that if he didn't quickly pacify and took control over his Demonic Energy soon again, than in his current elemental state, his core would undoubtedly implode.
He clenched his teeth and with but a thought, severed the incorporeal, metaphysical and spiritual connection between his scythe and Demonic Energy. Also, while the flames making the scythe dispersed because of getting cut off from the source of their energy, Aynz focused the entirety of his mind and efforts on again regaining control over his berserk energy.
Meanwhile, on one side, as Aynz o'roth was desperately trying to save himself and organize his mind, the four Dukes watched him with an extremely cold expression yet a shocked gaze.
Not because of what was going inside him or what they did, rather because of what they heard. They could not believe their senses that such a priceless treasure was walking right under their noses but they remained completely oblivious about it.
It was an opportunity almost missed...
All of a sudden, the while ignoring everything else transpiring in there surroundings, the four Dukes regarded one another, their gazes both greedy and wary of each other.
Such a treasure, obviously they wanted it wholly for themselves and definitely weren't of the mind to share it with the other two Dukes of there own family! Let alone the other family.
However, they also weren't foolish enough to believe that it was possible.
Considering, this inheritance was a treasure which was entirely capable of and valuable enough to make them Dukes clash for it while putting thier very lives on the line.
As seconds passed, the tension between the four became much more palpable. The balance was stretching thin with every second passed, the greed was such that they had even forgotten everything about Demon for a moment.
However, when the side of his eyes caught a glance, suddenly everything clicked in perfectly together... ... ... ... ...
